You will love how it handles on the trail. For me, seemed way more nimble. That was the first thing I did when I bought me 2000 TJ.

I have been giving serious thought about selling my hardtop and going back to a soft top My soft top was stolen about 6 years ago along with the bow assembly and the brackets for the bows on the roll bar. The only thing they didn't take was the door surrounds and the brackets next to the tailgate so I have those . I am having a hard time finding a good set of bows but I haven't checked online recently for them. My plan is also to go with the Bestop twill top . That’s really irritating that someone did that to you. I got to be honest I never thought of the soft top being vulnerable of complete theft of it. I’ll see if I can find the guys contact that we bought some of ours from.

Where did you find the beige roll bar covers?
Came with the Sahara trim package.
I got my jeep couple years back and the top on mine was ripped and I got a replacement top which replaced the material not the frame my frame was still good but a thicker material is the way to go so much noise with the thinner material on the tops what I got was pavement ends in spice and I actually kinda regret it cause you can wash it but seems to never come clean

Absolutely agree. I typically removed the hard top and doors when on the trail in the past. Tube doors were the only thing on there. We’ve noticed back to back days on the same trail having difficulty on the same objective. The only difference was the top and doors. No top and doors it easily climbed obstacles. Next try to go over same rocks with them on and really struggled. Great comment.
These premium twill soft tops are excellent. My TJ came with a Shittybilt soft top which is decent but looking at getting this upgrade. From April to Oct, I have the doors and windows in the garage. And just have a spider web shade on. I only button up the TJ if the forecast calls for multiple days of heavy rain. Otherwise, I just put up the soft top for brief showers with a rain cover, keeps it from pooling.
There's a company called BullDawg that makes high quality hard tops for TJ's. You can order them with 1 - 2 sunroofs too. And all 3 window panels open and have locks. Of course, they come with a hefty price, about $3k. Which is why I'll just invest in this premium twill soft top. I don't mind wind noise, especially with the Kickers cranked. I just can't justify $3k for a hard top.
