I had never heard of this woman until the Brits. I thought I would listen to some of her music. I am SO glad that I did. I am coming out of an abusive relationship of 12 years. My ex partner is at last in prison for what he has done to me. Listening to this song has made me realise how strong I am. Music should reflect real life, not all love and hearts and flowers. I am now a very f7cking strong woman. Thank you Raye for singing it like it really is with your beautiful words and voice. Thank you SO much, you are keeping me strong. Xx
Bless you!!!❤and stay strong! You made the hardest step now you babe to start the healing which will take as long as you need for most it's a lifetime but that's okay trust that!🤗
What a moment. I think her set will be remembered for years to come. So honest and raw. I hope everyone that has dealt with the subject of this song can heal from their traumatic experience.
Its time this song was sung. I'm 50. You would be hard pushed to find a woman of my generation that hadn't been sexually abused in some way. This is very powerful.
I’m a 46 year old man , and I agree with you , when we was kids , everyone knew of a flasher down the park, or some other weirdo , it was normalised. This is why I’m a protective dad , my oldest is 10 , a boy , and never been out on his own , it’s a sad world we live in .
I am 56 & never heard of you before the Brits but my god how I have missed out. Your voice is incredible, your story is powerful & I wish amazing things for you in life. You are very special 💝
Joanne, if it makes you feel any better, neither had I :) If you want an hour of her - BBC iPlayer Royal Albert Hall... or on you tube .. she sings this in her underwear... (you just have to watch the whole thing... ) Mind blowing isn't even close..
I just listened to this song for the first time today, as I was driving to work and it made me cry. Such powerful lyrics and a song that a lot of people can relate to (unfortunately). I only just discovered Raye when she was the musical guest on SNL recently, and I can't stop listening to her. She's fantastic!
Big Up Yourself Raye...Your journey that you've shared will help a lot of people..female and male..Thank you for your talent and being able to speak and show your truth 🔥🔥🔥
I'm glad that she said men and women❤ it shows that she understand the severity of this love all her songs❤ So proud you should be proud if the girl you were and women you are.😊
Good God! That Voice. What an outstanding lyricist. Being a woman that has been through this trauma...This Song! It's so Raw, Real, F'Up'd, and 👏🏼 BRAVO TO YOU @RAYE! YOU ARE A VERY STRONG F***ING WOMAN!!!🙌🏼 The strength it takes to put this out there, and make it a conversation, and then flip the script and make it an amazing anthem?!?!🫶🏼 Just Wow! Raye you took these awful moments back! You rose up like Phoenix and created a powerful & magnificent song with a very strong message...you shamed them! BRAVO. 👌🏼👏🏼 I'm so looking forward to your bright and beautiful future! 💗🙌🏼🫶🏼
I am from Argentina and I have been listening to her for 2 years. In my opinión, she is the best singer and cutest person i have listened to! ❤ she deserves all the awards and much more!
Raye 🤍🤍 Dream come true for her to perform at Glasto, I remember her saying in an interview that she'd love to perform there & years later, she was in the lineups of A-list to grace the stage
So I'll join the other dozen or so people who have admitted to not knowing Raye before the Brits, or at least not well. Just downloaded and watched the whole, unedited Royal Albert Hall performance - cried through most of it... but this song... Jeez... this woman has more guts and talent then most of the music industry put together!
Чем плять? 😂 Какое-то проходное. Ну голос есть, но пол песни трындежа. Стиль говняный (плятье, причёска, макияж, сама муз композиция послушал-забыл). Жалко толпу музыкантов, которым не дали себя проявить
