  • Things To Do & Best Beaches In Pula Croatia, on the tip of Istria Peninsula. Pula may not be a picture-perfect coastal town like some other places in Croatia, but it is almost a perfect summer holiday destination. Pula was home of the Romans and the Venetians and was the major naval port of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Between the world wars it belonged to Italy and after the WWII it became part of Yugoslavia, succeeded by Croatia. Rich history makes Pula a unique town filled with ancient Roman monuments, Venetian palaces and huge number of Austrian fortresses. It is surrounded by a beautiful coastline and amazing islands including famous Brijuni National Park. I’m Rok and I’ve spent last 9 years travelling around Europe as a tour guide and I want to show you my favourite Things To Do In Pula Croatia and some of the best Pula beaches.

      I’m going to Pula this summer with my friends. Do you know any hidden gems, worth to visit or any places which are not so hyped or only known by locals? And is there any beach, where we could play volleyball?

    • @Db-mv3si
      @Db-mv3si Місяць тому

      @@oli_brtln@oli_brtln I think you must visit the Amphitheatre, the forum and Zero strasse, also the island of Brijuni. What we all really like is Rt Kamenjak and the Safari bar. You can play volleyball in Valkane, Medulin and Pjescana Uvala. And Pula has really beautiful beaches, Havajsko beach, Umbrella beach, Pjescana Uvala near the Batana bar on the beach and of course Rr Kamenjak. There are many more beautiful beaches.

    Great video even though I’m just now seeing it. I’m planning a trip to Pula in September, only for three days, because I booked it too late to coordinate certain things, but I am still looking forward to it because of my love of history and interest in the Roman Empire. I managed to get a hotel right in the center which is quite beneficial for me because I have multiple sclerosis. But your video helped me see that I can probably see most things I want to see. Thanks. It all depends where your accommodation is and how much luggage you have with you. I usually try to use public buses as they are much cheaper than taxi. If you use public buses ticket can be purchased directly from the driver and the price is 11 kn. The ticket is only one way and is valid for an hour. Here is useful link www.buscroatia.com/local-buses-pula/
      If you will use a taxi ask for price before the ride.
