- Hey guys! Today’s video is an absolute banger! We caught soooo many fish and heaps of eaters!!! We fished the reef/rocks around greys bay at Bowen, QLD
I caught my first ever coral trout and my first ever rock/estuary cod!! Jack caught a nice 40cm stripey and dad caught the most fish for the day!!
We started off trauling lures and had a hook up after about 2 minutes trauling, sadly the fish go off but then I caught a nice 39cm coral trout!

Hopefully I’ll be able to take the kayak back out there in a few days and catch another one! I’m still hunting for a big rock cod… or a spanni mackrel!

Fun fact about Parrot Fish, they eat coral and grind it up in their teeth. Much of the coral sand and gravel is due to their feeding.
