I had an iva ended over paying in fees so make sure you do your homework before you get one

@@MoneyNerd I'm in the process of claiming money back from my iva after over payments I'll let you know how i get on.
I would be super interested in how you get on. Lots of people are in a similar situation
IVA's only work if enough of your payment goes to your creditors. which is not always the case.
Leaving you with still a large balance to clear at the end of it.
The only real winners are the companies that run them.
Re your credit score will be poor whatever option you choose to clear your debts, and will be on your
file for 6 years after.
But an IVA has a similar stigma to Bankruptcy, and can leave you with many problems just trying to rent
a property, or apply for certain jobs.
Please get independant advice from more than one source before accepting one.
