Running Horse Automata

Here is my Running Horse Automata finished after all these long years!
It is made from 100% laser cut pieces with mechanical hoof beats! The hoof beats sound a bit tinny in this video. In real life they sound a bit more full and satisfying.

I also wanted to say than you. Your project has inspired me to design some of my own automata. I have been playing with the Linkage software and it has been a lot of fun!
Also, I think the addition of hammers for the hoof beats is a brilliant idea!

What type of wood glue did you use to assemble it? I'm using 3mm birch ply

Sorry for the late reply! Just regular wood glue that I can buy at my local home depot store. It is white and dries clear but I only use a tiny, tiny bit of glue here and there.

Thanks for the message! I sent them an email. A few years ago I did share the linkage file to a few people so it probably ended up with them somehow. I sent them an email so see what they say!
