Great tutorial! No annoying music or preface yapping, just a quiet voice giving clear directions--love it. I used cotton ribbon yarn. I found that using the same colored stitch markers really helped me keep track of where I was with the video. Once she started the thermal stitch section, I left the slip stitch marker in while doing the slip stitch--saved having to remove and put back. I did have to rip and restart while using trial and error to make it smaller (my version of practicing a new piano piece) but each time I got better and understood more.

I started making this bag when I was still a beginner at crocheting and put it aside for a while because I didn’t have the skill set for it yet… fast forward to a few months later I finished the bag and it came out sooo cute!! I definitely don’t recommend this for beginners but if you’ve been practicing for a few months, you’ve got this! 🥳 PSA this is definitely a time consuming project as thermal stitches take longer so prepare to be working on it for a while!
This was a huge undertaking for me since I'd only been crocheting hats and stuff But this tutorial was so easy and straight forward Loved it! My bag is a bit busted looking but I had the best time 😊
it could be the size of needle, type of yarn or how you make yours stitches (loose or tight). In the first row, you can make more than 30 chains or/and reapet the third row, maybe it help you.
This is the first time I have done this stitch style. It was hard for me at first. BUT it was all worth it! 🦋 The bag is sturdy and will not have those weird peak holes when you put heavy things inside. I LOVE IT! Thanks so much for this tutorial. I finished my bag in 2 days ( on and off cuz I have work 😅)
I made this bag the tutorial was gine i didn't find it difficult to understand and the design turned out beautiful. Although, the bag is really smaller than what it seems in the thumbnail so i recommend to do more stitches in the beginning.

can someone please explain the stitch makers when creating the walls of the bag? (row 6 to 34) where are they supposed to be placed??? i misplaced them without noticing and idk how to fix it. pls help
I’m not sure if I’m seeing this right and I’m doing this through closed captioning and the pattern written at the top, but on row 1 when you remove the first stitch marker it’s only going through FLO right?
Can i do a normal single crochet instead of thermal crochet? Does it affect anything in this pattern?? Because i cant see my stitches very well as im using velvet yarn 😅

Hello! I had 7 rows done and I was starting the 8th but since it wasn't finished I said we had 27 more rows to go. Sorry it wasn't super clear haha. @@ZoeLea-q6u
the thermal stitch is there to give structure to the bag. so when u do it u only go into one loop of the chain( one chain looks like a V becuz of the two loops) and to make the bag look finished ( and add structure) we turn our work to use the other side of the V ( the second loop). tell me if u understand it and sorry for replying 4 months late, i doubt ur still facing this problem now lol
I’m somewhat new to crochet and still figuring it out, but I found that single crochet in the round starts looking all slanted (rows go off at a diagonal and don’t line up). I assume this thermal stitch would do the same thing, and turning should prevent that problem. Someone please tell me if I’m completely off base.
The markers make the tutorial all d more confusing, imho. Those are great finished products though. The corners are the most crucial part of crochet bag making, to me.
hii, i’d like to make a smaller one, do you think 26 chains instead of 30 would work as well? if yes, instead of 27 stitches for the first row should i do 23?
The side where we make the slip stitch, it started becoming rounder and curving inward instead of going straight, why would that happen? Also how many thermal stitches should be in a single round?

Hello I'm doign your tutorial and I have one question : what I don't understand is why turning our work at every tow since it's kind of an oval ? Thermal stitches are super sturdy.. they take a little longer but you'll happy with a thicker and longer lasting bag :))
