- Finished the additional room to our homestead tiny home offgrid.
It was just me and my husband building the 12 foot by 20 foot addition.
supplies:
plywood, 2 x 4 s, nails, screws, flooring, insulation, windows we got second hand from restores, paint, you know the normal stuff lol
I have no idea what the actual specifics are. I am just sharing a journey on our homestead.
Well done your extension looks great and cozy love & blessings ❤
Thank you very much we really love it.
All of those windows are amazing!!!! It's such a happy room. I love that you wrote on the boards under the flooring.
❤ we have done that throughout the entire building of our home. The first section has it in the walls so we added it to the floor in the addition.
Oh how wonderful Summer - what an amazing achievement working alongside your hubby. It looks so lovely 💞..your house is home. The words sentiments of love (hidden there) - beautiful 💞

I loved watching this so much! The room looks so wonderful and I love your book shelf wall, the wall of windows, and that entertainment center that Adam made! Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤❤❤
My book shelf is of course my favorite part lol. Thank you for watching.
I wish I could afford to do that
We didn't afford to do it. My husband lost his job 3yrs ago. We had been paying on the land for 2 years prior. We had built the house originally out of a shed. It's taken us 3 years to do all this. We traded electric payments for solar, we don't have regular running water. We use a compost toilet. We had so many bills we barely floated until we finally got out from under some last year. None of this happened because we could afford it. It happened because we made the decision and faced any consequences good or bad. It's been very hard to do. We also take all the free wood and pallets we can get lol
@@AstariaSen I know the feeling, I'm not too far off from the same situation, sometimes I worry about where I'm gonna stay in the not so distant future
