the best thing about this is Hunter can brag “me and my Dad rebuilt this truck”
Thank you Clinton, I love how much time you invest with your sons. My Father did that with me 60 years ago as he tutored me in the correct way to use band saws, jointers, planers and routers. And to this day I still think about that as I look at my hands and smile as I wiggle all my fingers. I've worked alongside many shipwrights who were missing fingers because they learned the hard way. You're a damn fine Dad!
I second that.
Booyeah!
My dad developed a brain issue when I turned 14. It went away when I turned 22. I wish I would have understood that I didn’t know it all and that he was teaching me, which he certainly was. I would give everything I own for one more day of working alongside him. Your son’s are fortunate for what they are learning from their dad. Well done!
Amen.. i speak to my mom n pop everyday, n man, they are the smartest n most hard working ppl i've ever met.. Both were put to work at 6yrs old in Mexico by their parents, n haven't stopped since.. My mom dropped out of skool in 6th grade, my pop in middle skool or high skool but both can count in their head better n faster than i can with a calculator..lol i pray Jesus returns way before one of them passes, God blessed me with two hard working parents, don't even want to imagine the pain of not having them anymore..
How great it is to teach your son mechanical skills. He will remember your help the rest of his days.
Unbelievable how those parts were packed, shipped, then dumped by the side of the road!! I love Summit Racing too - hopefully they'll coach the guy who loaded up your order so he does a better job next time. And the way it was all "delivered" was inexcusable.
gotta love the locals in support of American made parts......those parts were packed, shipped, then dumped by the side of the road!!
Thats the 2 department issue. Service department says ,,we get complains about our parts damaged,,
Financial says ,,less cost to pack. Tell them we need to protect the environment,,
Financial wins.
The driver needs to run double shifts to earn a living.
But where i live( city of amsterdam) he has 10 delivery’s on the same miles as your’ s between 2 adresses. They do the same.
@@henkoosterhof5947 Everybody got an excuse. No one takes responsibility. Not my fault, it was somebody else's.
Hunter is a very lucky young man, hope he appreciates all dad does for him.
It’s great to see you teaching your sons how to build and take care of their trucks. They will remember this for their lifetime and appreciate the time you took to be with them and teach them!
Wwwooooww outside the gate!!!! I had FedEx leave a 50 inch smart TV at the mailboxes in my old apartment. And stated on my shipment bring to door! Same as you it wouldn't have been out there long! They need to do better.
That's typical Fedex. 25 years ago, they were top notch. Today, meh
That's typical Fedex. 25 years ago, they were top notch. Today, meh
Yeah. . .f%&k FedEx if their delivery people deliver items like this, and are allowed to get away with it.
Long videos R NOT A problem. This series with your boys wrenching and learning with you is very enjoyable! Please record more. These are some kick butt home movies, the boys have a record of skill sets being built along with their confidence. Skill and expierence can not be deminished or over looked. Good on you fellows.
I’m not an engine building expert but I don’t think it’s going to run its best with a camera in the cylinder lol love watching the young guns building their trucks
It's one way to bump the compression up.
Good job Dad there is no short cuts in a good job. If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well.
What a Dad, where were you when I was a teenager? I know, you weren't even a gleam in your daddy's eye yet. That truck is gonna be righteous.
Thanks C&C highboy build is good times particularly enjoy your making memories with your family
Clint, I am constantly impressed with how well you manage to get us camera views of what you're working on or discussing. You do it superbly and I thank you.
It's great watching you help and support your kids, teaching them all your knowledge and tricks of the trade you have picked up over the years and probably been shown to you by your dad..they are very lucky..
I just wish my dad had supported me the same over the year's...
Father of the decade! So awesome to see a father mentoring his sons and providing the tools and knowledge for them to continue the tradition of hard work and true American Values. I salute you and your family for being a shining example of what a family business should be. May you be blesssed and prosper with your hard work and exceptional values. Editor, you are doing a wonderful job with thess most excellent videos.
Great video! Boys gonna have a fun little ripper . Good seeing you learning the kid on a fun project , be something he will always remember
Looking like one very cool motor , Hunter is one lucky young man especially working with his dad and learning from the best !!
Great job he will never forget ❤❤
C&C Equipment.. Cool video. ALL of the rings should be checked and file fitted (or make bore bigger with hone) to the perspective bore they are going in. All of the rings are probably a little bit different in size as are the cylinder bores. Just because one ring fits doesn't mean all of them are within spec. ALWAYS fit the rings to the cylinder bore it is going in and don't mix them up. I have built engines where when I checked the gap in the cylinder I had to file fit some of the rings and some of the gaps were to big right out of the box. When that happens you have to buy more rings. Nothing you can do about a ring that the gap is to big except set it aside for the next engine and buy new ring/s. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen.
What a privilege to have the spaciousness of a well equipped shop to tackle an engine rebuild. 👍
Sooooo jealous. Having a cool vehicle at that age will change your life, building it and knowing how to fix it gets you even further.
Hiya Clint and co. enjoying the build, the longer video...more on this build, would be awesome and appreciated. The paint job, top notch Kevin. 👍👍🍻
We're not professionals, right and I am the Pope.... Nice video.
I don’t think I would be as excited as you get working on vehicles. You guys do a great job at all you do.
Simply have to love a first class engine build. Can't wait to see the first start!
Fantastic work. And pretty good on the engine too. My dad and I did several things together and when I was 21, I met my wife. On the week that we were getting married, he had tests ran that he kept under his hat. A month later he told me that he had cancer. He allowed himself to be a test subject and lived another three years. Y’all need to do anything you can with each other awesome content.
Great Dad and son time, we’ll done
Clint, on the cam bearing installer the white cone goes on the shaft and centers the tool in the cam bores. just like line boring loader arm pins. the tool will then be straight when installing or removing the bearings.
I bet the boy's classmates/buddies are in awe of work you all share. A guy can really be proud of something "he built"!!!!!
Clint, y’all are doing a fantastic job! Take care and I’ll see y’all down the road…
Clinton, I love the way you are teaching your son's responsibility and what they're doing. It's a blessing to see such love and care that you have for your boys 😊❤ Thank you for sharing!
Hello Mr. C & Mrs. C Kevin and team. Hope your keeping my tools in good shape. LMBO have a good day everyone!! 🎉❤❤
Hi 👋👋:) have a great week 🥰
@@mrsclinton 💖💖💖👋👋👋
Nice job. Brings back memories. I had a 79 stepside I put a 460 in about 35 years ago. Haha. Been a while.
The young man is soaking this up like a sponge.
Phenomenal project!! Really enjoying this and also how much your boys are involved with everything!! Such an awesome skill set!!
Clint, a little tid bit for you. A very good buddy of mine works for Fed Ex..been a courier for 28 years. He’s told me personally, (because like yourself I had some complaints) that Fed Ex is trying to move away from the current service to a 100% sub-contract service. It’s less headaches for the company has a whole and puts the burden on the subcontractor. But the customer service has plummeted..trust when I say you’re not the only one frustrated. My buddy has told me to use UPS many times…
so many people say elderbrock instead edelbrock. it always makes me chuckle.
Love watching you work with the boys. They are getting a priceless amount of knowledge.
No bs, he personally knows every cylinder. Cool stuff he built with his dad and worked hard for. Great work raising a man and working beside your best friend.
Bringing back memories, I built a couple of FE blocks and putting the top end together was different with pushrods going through the intake. I bet that 460 is going to sound sweet, except the camera in the cylinder and the one in the oil pan are gonna make a racket.😁
its always great to see building motors , your knowledge is amazing
Love chicken on the Beach! Good choice Tucker!
Clint passing the Knowledge down to his Son , cant get any better then that. Reminds me of working with my father on his Buick in the garage.
When I was younger I built a three hundred ford in line
Tank engine! Take a little care of it and you will be swapping it into a different body when the original rusts out.
I definitely enjoyed this.
I wouldn’t call 500hp, in this engine, crazy.
More like stout. 👍😎
Good stuff guys from Phill and Sarah Parnham from New Zealand west coast 😊
Love the content when you and the boys are wrenching on the trucks. All the content is top-notch, but I do like seeing you passing knowledge on. Reminds me of days gone by with my dad.
We had one of those hog washer when I was in the mechanic shop business
It's good to see a father teach their sons mechanical skills, and good to see they're interested learning. That 460 should be sounding good when finish. Thanks for the video
Love watching you work with your kids.
That is going to sound SWEET! #466.
Hunter, who is the lucky girl or girls that get to cruse town with you in your soon to be done 460? ;) Be safe showing off the new build!
I like watching your interactions with your sons. I don't know enough about rebuilding a Ford engine to even comment. I'm lovin' this!
Great job guys fun to watch
Great job guy's. Brings back memories of me and my old man working on everything from tractors to cranes. Happy days.
Another great video! This reminds me of my Dad and I rebuilding my first vehicle, an 87 S-10 Blazer. He wouldn't work on it unless I was with him. It looked like a new one when we were done. Keep up the good work guys that Highboy is looking great!
You make it look so easy, nice job
Look forward to seeing you get in the truck and hearing it run. Awesome truck with a big block
Thanks for sharing your knowledge you're a great teacher
Great job. 👍👍👍👍👍👍. I could watch you guys all day
You guys are doing an awesome job no matter you know how immature you are you guys are doing a job and it's nice that you get to spend time with your son's doing that or some people anymore all they want to do is play video games at least your sons are wanting to do the life and live the life that you have put in front of them and it's nice that they actually appreciate the help that you give them and appreciate the time you spend with them helping them learn how to set backlashes and how to set rings and how to do all this stuff so when they have their kids they understand what you were instilling in them
Nice work guys! Good on you for teaching the boys skills that are slowly being lost in our society.
What a fantastic family spending time with the kids doing work on the kid's trucks you have got two very lucky kid's so great to watch getting there trucks done but learning vital skills at the same time your a great dad taking the time to learn to brilliant boy's really appreciate the videos you post one of the best channels on UA-cam don't ever change 🎉🎉🎉
It was a joy to watch father and son working together and both learning as you go along. I also learned a lot, although it is unlikely at my age I will ever be working on engines again, that for me is fifty years in the past.
Nice build, going to be a nice ride for sure. Like the build, fun project. Thanks for the update.
A great watch thanks for sharing brings back memories for me along time ago in school 👍👋🇨🇦
Father and Son working on a project and learning together. Priceless!
Great video, guys. Thanks for sharing!!
Good job Clint👍🏻 I like how you take the time to show us the part numbers on whatever parts you’re working with.
Great family time! Keep them coming! Thanks for sharing! 👌👍
Love your videos with you working with your family. Clinton, you remind me of my brother who taught me how to work on things like this many years ago in our dads shop. He left us way too young at the age of 32. That was 48 years ago . I still work at that shop today at age 76. Not many days go by that I don't think about the good times we had working together. I feel like I am going back in time watching your videos. I also love your shop .
Good job doing that with him,he will never forget that love your videos I am subscribed keep up the great work for all of us UA-camrs take care and thanks again Jeff Carder
Very entertaining. Nice to see diverse skill sets.

Thanks for the video, nice change up in video, 500 horse isnt shabby, looking forward to seeing the complete truck when you guys are finnished
A lot of videos are fun to watch, but this video I’m saving for future reference. I have a 460 that I’ve got to rebuild, and I can definitely use you knowledge when I get there. 👍🏻👍🏻 thanks.
What an EDUCATION FOR YOUR SONS CLINT!!!.YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER AND FATHER 🎉...IN YEARS TO COME I CAN SEE THEM TEACHING THEIR KIDS 😊❤
Finally catching up the build. Looking forward to seeing that injection and how it works.
I remember dad helping me build my 390 he said there’s the new crank and the gasket ring set I got stuff to do lol 😂 so I got to work only had to get his help making sure I got pistons facing right way the book I was looking at showed different marks than the pistons I had but I got it lol great video thanks for sharing
There is a white cone your cam bearing tool kit. That is to slide over the shaft after the tool, small end toward the engine, and the cone is pushed into and held in the outer cam bearing hole to keep the shaft centered while you install a bearing. That way the bearing is installed square to the bore.
I probably sound like an echo with the other comments but it is great to see the time you spend with your sons teaching them skills and making memories. I am really looking forward to hearing this truck run. Motor looks awesome. PS I think Tuckers truck is pretty sweet too. Great how you can still work on these old beauties. Thanks for sharing. Almost forgot it is wonderful that the stubby painter is working on this project too!! Nice paint job!
Damm is all I can say I really wish you were my dad as a kid lol. Awesome job can’t wait to hear that motor running great job boys
Great job teaching your son!
That 466 big block is surely looking great and should perform very well, good job guys, can't wait to hear it roar.
WOW that's looking exceptional.🎉 Way to stick with it!!!
I took it all in. Can't wait for the next video.
Enjoy the engine build! Nice parts!💯 Hunter will surely enjoy that engine!
I was taught at a very young age of 10.
Was taking engines apart and put back together.
Hands had to be washed and a light dusting of wet sawdust on the floor so no dust.
Great job dad and son👍
man you guys are doing a bang-up job, between the ford blue and shiny stuff it should be a beast. i have noticed your family works great together, good for the future.have fun
Great work with you and your son
Gonna be a sweet ride 👍🏼
Great job. guys!
Enjoyed this video guys there sure is a lot to do to make sure everything is just right if ya going for a high performance engine bro. Safe travels. Ken.
