Folks can say what they want BUT The Rock showing up and going heel was a major plus! He listened to the fan reactions and put on the biggest pivot in the history of pivots. I also feel Olie seems to take alot of shots at The Rock. Even that Triple H/Rock rivalry video I felt leaned more to Paul. To say it was just handed to him? Didn't he go to Memphis for awhile? Remember Flex Covana? The road to WM wouldn't have even half of what it was had it not been for The Rock.

Everybody should know by now that:
1- Triple H and The Rock don't like one another
2- The Rock 100% has a narcissistic element to him
Given the above, I have no reason not to believe that indeed Rock thought going back to WWE would make people forget his recent disastrous spell in the box office and Hollywood where nothing seemed to work for him. People are just not realizing how much damage his star power has taken. It is highly likely that The Rock indeed changed the initial plans to have Cody cast aside and then have him face Roman just to get people talking about him again.
When all of this is taken into consideration, it makes Cody's win at WM40 that must more iconic. He could have easily lost his chance this year had the fans not rallied behind him.
Because Black Adam tanked after Rock apparently didn't realize that "grimdark antihero who kills" is already Batman AND Superman thanks to Snyder's laughable mishandling of the DCEU?

People can say what they want, The Rock added so much to Mania weekend. Was he solely responsible for the success? No. Did he get additional eyes on the product? Yes.

This is why the HH part of the story is B.S. Trips would have needed to know the lawsuit was coming and that TKO wanted to bring in the Rock at the time for the Cody bit to make sense. So It doesn't

This may be obvious to some but I'll say it anyway. I feel like the Rock's return to WWE, and his appointment to the board is largely due to the VKM "saga". The Rock and the Anoai (sp?)family have lineage in the WWE, in professional wrestling, and Dwayne, the Rock cares very much about that, as he should. So he came back to help squash any and all stories, and discussion concerning VKM, which is the right thing to do, even though VKM created the current WWE. I feel like saying VKM's name is much like saying Voldem...🙊🙈lol
