Been trying for hours. Cannot get it to work, could it be phone needs full charge first or pc needs updated

Try again and again. Just in case charge the phone over 50%. The computer just send a signal, it doesn mattery if its updated or windows or mac.

Because that's the Phones / Android Security. You need to know your google account after the reset to actiavate the phone. If you don't know it, try to search for Samsung A33 FRP unlock. Good luck.

If you don't know it, search for "forgot my google account". If you can't recover your google account or password, then the next option would be to search " Your phone's / tablet's model name + FRP unlock ". And if you still can't do it, you will need a special paid service. Good luck ;)
