That is where I got stuck, it would take me hours to redraw the pattern again and again. Maybe the video would work if you watched it as soon as you realized you forgot your pattern and you would only have to wait minutes, not hours. Update: I ended up doing a simple factory reset with the help of the side buttons. Since my Samsung had been synched with Google and One Drive, my photos, contacts, etc. were all saved. I just had to download my apps again and adjust my general settings.

I am having this problem with an s20 plus. I only have 3 attempts left until it resets my data to factory. Very frustrating and annoying since I know my password pattern. Hello, we’ve followed your instructions twice but it didn’t work, for some reason and not sure how, the phone went into flight mode and I can’t get it off of flight mode as it’s still locked and wouldn’t accept the new pin. Do you have any other options or thoughts on what I can do please? Or should I wait overnight?

My phone does not have patttern, but word. And it does not allow me to put it 5 times in. Every time I have to wait longer and longer because of to many wrong passwords..Please help me!
I normaly have pattern, but my son was playing with the phone and then it suddenly asks for a word, so I cant unlock it now. I dont know what he did with it.

Hi there I am trying this on my Samsung galaxy a30s and it dus not seem to work do you have any ideas on how I can do this without losing my data as I have just replaced my screen as it was broken and had to take the battery off and now it is asking me for password but again I do not want to lose my photos and data thanks rick

I have done this exact process twice now, the only difference is that while in safe mode it makes me wait 30 seconds between entering the pattern - I still repeated the same pattern 5 times. It's not working
also another difference is that I can only get into safe mode by holding the volume button down after the hard reset when the samsung logo comes up
Will be the pattern lock appear again if I turn off my phone after doing all of this ??

My am also using A12 but the save mode did not appear at the left bottom side after the hard reset
