Penny was a unicorn talent and a match nightmare from both guard spots before them knee injuries. His extraordinarily passing ability and lethal midpost game really freed up his outside shot.
My goat very good video penny was the total package his post game midrange passing shooting layup package defense athleticism was incrediblely unique and different from everyone.
Well done video. As a kid in the 90s Jordan was that dude. My favorite athlete of all time. But there was a short stretch when Penny rivaled MJ in terms of popularity. Not just because Jordan had retired when Penny started making waves. Penny was that good and marketable. Alot of players was marketable back then because they conducted themselves like grown men. No weird hair styles, no tattoos etc etc.
dude i love your videos! honestly you might b my favorite basketball analyst on youtube. i think a video on the odd simultaneous progression and regression of jimmy butler’s playstyle as he’s aged or a video about how boris diaw or shawn marion would have been stars if they played in todays nba
Peak Penny was a match nightmare and was the original pass first player before he got moved to the point guard position in Orlando. PENNY and VanExel were 2of my favorite guards of the 90s
Penny was fun to watch, no doubt. But I always had an impression that something was wrong with his jump shot: I think he used to release a ball not on reaching the highest point but a split second later, already descending. That's why he used to make jumpers with effort. To an extent this probably affected his mid- and long range FG% as well.
My 2nd favorite PG

Penny is my all time favorite player …no one else until today.
Penny will forever be GREAT 🖤💙

Great video! Love how you take a look at some lesser known players instead of picking the more popular ones that might make you more money
I disagree do van exel next
Penny hardaway is not lesser known! His shoes still sell!
Great content

Do a film on " Jerry Stackhouse "!!
Shout out to some of those rare clips.
Why mention his 3pt FG % and not his regular FG%? Which he shot around 46%, Kobe was 44% and Jordan 50%, Lebron 50%
Idk seems like he had a particularly hard time getting to the rim. Agree?
Look at the handle, fakes & foot work. Able to create space without with traveling or carrying the ball
