போக்கியவனே! உன்னைக் கண்டு ஆசைப்படும் எங்களை உன்னுடைய கடைக்கண்களால் பார்த்துத் துன்புறுத்தாதே. நாங்கள் வண்டலில் உள்ள
சிறிய மணலைத் தெளித்து வளையல்களணிந்த கைகளால் கஷ்டப்பட்டு இந்த சிற்றில்களைக் கட்டியுள்ளோம். தெளிந்த அலைகளையுடைய
திருப்பாற்கடலைப் படுக்கையாகக் கொண்டவனே! எங்கள் சிற்றில்களை வந்து அழிக்காதே.
Oh one who is lying in the deep ocean of deluge like a powerful lion! Oh one who removed the sorrow which befell
gajEndhrAzhwAn (the elephant)! Don’t torture us, who are desirous of you after seeing you, with your glance.
We have built these little houses with lot of effort from sieved alluvial soil with our hands, wearing bangles.
Oh one who is having the milky ocean with its clear waves as the divine mattress! Do not come here and destroy
our little sand houses.
