Do you Remember me who gives you the idea of "make a video of ground fight" in the comment section of morocco arise sir want to work with yeah I know that sounds awkward but I want to be a director can help me
Couldn't have put it better myself! This is just a great example of how much can be created with something as constraining as an Iphone. As the BTS shows. The camera is probably the most insignificant thing that went into this shoot. 20 plus people that do set design, lighting, coordinating, and acting are what really make a production.
@@ClaLearnDavinci Thanks. It was fully improvised no script. All shot on a whim day by day and then in the edit I saw something and wrote the monologue in 10 minutes. I'm glad you like it.
This is crazy good. I've been following you for years and it amazes me how you keep learning and improving, such an inspiration. From "cinematic vlogs" to "action packed short film". I loved the story telling in this one and how you followed the "A-Roll" of the brother talking all the time while showing snippets of the story in different places, it keeps you engaged with the story. Sound design is also really good. Congrats!
Brandon, you always amaze your subscribers with your filmmaking skills. You always prove the fact that it's not the camera, but it's the person and the technique that gives the cinematic look!
This is insane. Haven't watched your content in a minute but love to see you haven't stopped pushing your creativity to new levels. I wouldn't have thought this would be a brandon li film. I used to love seeing how far I could push iphone videos so this is definitely inspiring, will definitely be checking out the behind the scenes on this
WTF! ! I could not believe. This could be a whole full budget short. Man everyday I wake up and yet after so much I have seen., each time I got amazed. Thank you for sharing this with us. People and I obviously want to see a full breakdown, it'll be a whole masterclass for all of us. Man LOVED YOUR WORK.
I love your videos, and with this one you beat all the others you've made so far. it's unbelievable what can be filmed with a mobile phone. here is a beautiful indicator that it doesn't matter what technology you have, but who uses it. this video is masterpiece.
Your creativity and skill in ‘DANNY BOY’ are truly inspiring! 🎬 The action sequences are top-notch, can’t wait to see what you create next!😊 Have a great weekend Cheers 🍻
I was actually surprised at the quality too. We were careful about lighting and blocking to give it as much cinematic feel as possible. The Blackmagic Camera app and log mode gave me further control over the look.
Now that short film (more a trailer) is really cool. I do not belueve that my last comment was read by you, but everything I criticised seems to be taken into consideration for this one. It feels different, here it looms like some creative risks have been taken which pay off big time. The shots are great, the kinetic is great too. And finaly something that doesn't look like everything has been done with typical brandon li gimbal moves. Finally some real tjough into it. I freaking love it.
scenes were great... but it felt a bit slow when the punches landed on someone's face... one hack Brandon... increase the speed by 10% when the arm is swinging and drop one or two frames, just a moment before the punch lands on the face
I would love to know about the production process. How long did it tke you twrite it, from writing to preproduction and how long it took you to shoot it. As well as an estimate of budget. Did you pay everyone full price? Would love to have some insight into that.
I work 12 hours per day, and I have a UA-cam channel also, should i buy a good camera or a camera to make content I currently tryna use my iphone 14pr? do you think my time is too tight ? do you think it worth to invest ? Please give me some idea.
The phone is doing awesome, but man, the production was horrible. The acting destroyed it for me, the writing wasn’t believable. Or at least the way the actors performed it. Besides that, one realizes now it’s not just about gear, especially when it’s so accessible now. Story and execution is the most important thing. 😬 Just made my first Pilot, and even that I’m scared on if it sucks. But it’s great to experiment though and test stuff out.

At last, a camera reviewer who actually demonstrates that he can do something with a camera.

What an unbelievable sequence. The fact that this was shot on a phone is just insane. So inspirational, Brandon!
Would love for you to see my short film shot on a phone too.

Your style of filmmaking fits this genre so perfectly. This was so well made. Hope to see you DP/Direct a feature one day!
Thank you! I hope to as well’
Felt like i watched a full movie not a sub 4 minute short... shows how well this was shot and edited

What kind of films do you want to make with your phone?
Sci-fi Action Movie

Among other things, definitely some content like this! Hyper condensed but still well paced and engaging stories like this!
I am shooting a pseudo sci fi with my phone. I have already shot a short film on my phone. It is on my channel wojld appreciate some comments.

how much time it took you in total amount of days to pre, production and post
It was about 2 weeks planning, 5 day shoot, and a month of slowly editing and revising

Hi Brandon, Have you ordered the HoverAir X1 Pro Max yet? Looking forward to a review from you about this
What lenses were used? Or it were the iPhone native ones?
Can you recommend me a gimbal suitable for Sony A6400 + 18-105 lens with budget around 350USD?

Yes, all on iPhone with Blackmagic Camera app
Just curious, how much of the script was written by AI? (serious question)
