Update on the gas thing: The TV show has confirmed Ash does in fact gas up his chainsaw. In one episode he tells Pablo to gas up his saw for him, which Pablo fails to do. Sadly, the chainsaw dies its permanent death in the TV show, probably the single hardest-to-handle casualty of the series. I've never cried over a broken chainsaw before.
Cardbordboxonfire couldn't agree more. I have never been disappointed with any of Odin's DIY's they have given me some very good ideas for my builds, the keychain idea from this one was genius and not one I had seen before.
Odin is the best on this channel! He has the best builds that come out looking great and are affordable! I've been looking for my first prop build and here it is Ash's right hand man!
I'm always amazed by your builds, Odin. At some point in the middle they always look like a big foam mess (and that's when I'd quit) and then BAM! It all comes together.
I'm going to use this tutorial reference for my Mettaton cosplay. He doesn't have a chainsaw in the game but it's a popular headcanon that he has a chainsaw. It's extremely oversized and pink and gaudy. It's beautiful
My dad was in a motorbike accident, and lost his right arm. But only his hand, so he just has a stump. And now I know what his Halloween costume should be.
i liked the original guy but odin is better and should be the new full time host and maybe to keep the others in it he can occasionally do bigger props which they collab on just a thought
I personally like Odin the most of the regular hosts. He uses many interesting techniques and unusual but effective solutions to issues. He also seems to use the varied selection of materials, so that everything isn't just cardboard, screws, and hot glue.
I have no idea what this is from, but this build is AWESOME to watch!! It's neat to see people make stuff out of foam etc, but it's really cool to see someone actually bust out some tools and make a prop. Odin's definitely my favorite of the new hosts.
So next time, can we build the Fat Man tactical nuclear catapult? With the Fallout Anthology, we have reference dimensions, and then use that to establish a comparison scale... then show us at home how to do it on a budget.
Most of the tools are pricy, but are reused in almost every project. You're going to have to invest a little. However, the parts and craft materials are fairly cheap.
Nope. Cost me over double what he listed for everything, at least the stuff I could find. Can't find the right 4" flange either. Might be a regional thing or prices have just sky rocketed since last October.
Make a 2 in 1video of making the pepsi perfect bottle form back to the future 2 and the dehydrated pizza packet from back to the future 2. Every time this channel makes a back to the future prop its always so cool. The back to the future props are so simple and legit. Thanks Odin!
The key-minder and the construction of the blade are brilliant. I wish that there was a slightly different finish on the body of the chainsaw, but all in all, this is a great build.

Benjamin Meijer personally i dont like vinny but i understand why some people do
I personally like Odin the most of the regular hosts. He uses many interesting techniques and unusual but effective solutions to issues. He also seems to use the varied selection of materials, so that everything isn't just cardboard, screws, and hot glue.

So next time, can we build the Fat Man tactical nuclear catapult?
With the Fallout Anthology, we have reference dimensions, and then use that to establish a comparison scale... then show us at home how to do it on a budget.

Odin is the best prop shopper!
DRAVEN AXE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PLSSSS
8:23 that ting sound is the most satisfying sound I can ever hear... Well maybe not but I still is really satisfying
It just seems you need the tools just to make this prop not really low cost
the most expensive indispensable tool is the heat gun, which is like 15-20$
Most of the tools are pricy, but are reused in almost every project. You're going to have to invest a little. However, the parts and craft materials are fairly cheap.
Nope. Cost me over double what he listed for everything, at least the stuff I could find. Can't find the right 4" flange either. Might be a regional thing or prices have just sky rocketed since last October.
sean hughes that's how they get you. William jakespeare doesn't use so many high end tools
Or a hot glue gun. Which at Wal-Mart is $5
Odin and Vinny are definitely the best in the prop shop
Odin is an absolute wizard when it comes to crafting. 'And then I do this and then I do this and then I have a huge chainsaw stuck to my arm.'
Yeah that was the best one so far! Nice work!
My God. So much work. But really impressive.
Very well done....looks great
Nice work! You've outdone yourself, Odin. Can't wait to see what's next.
This was one of the best DIY prop shop projects when it comes to the end results.
Awsome how does he do it
You see this this is my boomstick!!!
This is amazeballs! It looks so real and easy to make. Doesn't matter what you make next, I'll watch.
Make a 2 in 1video of making the pepsi perfect bottle form back to the future 2 and the dehydrated pizza packet from back to the future 2. Every time this channel makes a back to the future prop its always so cool. The back to the future props are so simple and legit. Thanks Odin!
That was way too rad!!! Groovy indeed!
Odin thank you so much for this, my absolute favourite build ever! That weathering really makes it pop! Keep up the awesome work mate :)
The key-minder and the construction of the blade are brilliant. I wish that there was a slightly different finish on the body of the chainsaw, but all in all, this is a great build.
