That last deep bass note was actually Tim Faust. He can get just a bit lower than Avi. This song kind of show cases his insane 5 octave range. Remember how high he went in "Mayday"?
Thank you for another Home Free reaction. ♥ Many Home Fries (Home Free fans) say country isn't their favourite genre, and yet they love Home Free. Home Free guys might call themselves 'a country a cappella group', but their sound isn't 'just' country - they combine a lot of genres, styles and influences, and that makes their sound and music pretty difficult to categorise, especially since everything they do is a cappella, too. I love their sound and find it very unique and special. Btw, since you mentioned that you enjoy singers with a wide vocal range, you should check out more of Tim Foust (Home Free's bass). Perhaps you could react to one of Tim Foust vocal range videos? Anyway, Tim's vocal range is currently between 5 and 6 octaves (he said he keeps working on it), and he can actively use most of it. His 'studio' range is A0 - A5, but what's really impressive is that his live vocal range is very close to that -> C#1 - A5, and that he sounds amazing no matter whether he sings in his bass, baritone or tenor range. And yes, I'm a huge fan of Tim. 😊
The last bass note was Tim Foust, not Avi. Tim has an incredible range. He can sing lower and higher then Avi. I love Avi, his vocal tone is rich and soothing but credit to Tim he has a wide range and a strong voice. You might find the songs with Peter Hollens that Tim did interesting (misty mountain and sounds of silence). Avi also did one, I can't remember if you reacted to that one. (Black is the color of my true love's hair)
Guys, to be fair. Avi has a lower chest than Tim but Tim has the best growl technique and can go lower with growl. So Avi wins with his chest and Tim wins with his growl. Tim mostly is mixing chest fry bellow C2 or B1! Both have their own unique voices!
i saw another reaction video of this and they said what he did there at the end was called fire breathe method and can usually only be done for 3 or 4 seconds. if you listen Tim keeps going for 13. they were blown away just by that fact.
they guys of MAProductions. They go into a lot of detail on exactly what he is doing and how impressive it is from the viewpoint of someone who knows music
If a wide range is something that impresses you you need check out more Tim Foust. His range is greater than 5 octaves. Please check out a Tim Foust vocal range video.
One song that really showcases Tim's bass is in Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust Misty Mountains. His bass at the end actually shakes the camera used to record the song.
Avi appears in one more Home Free video, but you'll have to find it on your own. He's not listed in the title or the credits. Love your reactions! ... Guy
1) They started out soul/pop, now more country-ish/soul/pop, but ca/do sing anything, amazingly!! No weak links! 2) Tim Foust/super-bass taught Avi how to sing lower & he sings last low note!! He has a beautiful singing voice, too: *Tim Foust-Can't Help Falling In Love* -tribute to his Gram!! 3) They won Sing Off 4 (2yrs after friends Ptx) & after them, are the 2ND most viewed All-Vocal Grp on UTube! 4) Are also songwriters, arrangers, multi-instrumentalists! 5) *PLZ REACT* to TIM's song above & Home Free's LIVE: *9 To 5-Beatboxing Breakdown* - *BIG SURPRISE!!* *Adam Rupp-Fargo-2016* - *INSANE BEATBOX SOLO!!!!* *Austin Forgets Words--Guys Lose It* -Hilarious!! Thx!😍
That bass note at 1:50 is the lower level for Avi, while Tim has another half octave further down. Both are fun to watch. Voice Play is the other a capella group renewing this old art of actually singing. All three groups are masters of bass and beatbox.
Home free is divine voices out of this world and Tim's bass is unbelievable! There are no limits to him. Avi is great but sorry I love Tim's voice, he will sing everything not only in the bass.
Love your reaction!! Tim Foust’s range is sick! A0 up to A5. Can you believe that! They do other genres equaly as well. Try these: Gospel - How Great Thou Art, Fun - Butts Remix, Pop - All About The Bass.
Love to see you react to Home Free's "Castle On The Hill" Ed Sheeran cover and "Can't Stop This Feeling", Justin Timberlake cover. If you'd like to see just a bit of Home Free's range try "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On", one of my all time favorites! Home Free really is much more than just country (which I personally LOVE). Tim Foust (Home Free's Bass) has an amazing range....Jaw Dropping! Thank You
If you really want to hear the Avis Range and what he can do with his voice check out "Black Is The Color Of My True Love's Hair - Peter Hollens & Avi Kaplan" Peter Hollens did some amazing covers with Home Free as well!
I absolutely agree on "the arc!" Great description. I'm the same way in books, movies, songs, or any type of performance. I have subscribed, and hit the bell, as well. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you. :-)
Yes, they are A Cappella so they do have a beatboxer, Adam Rupp. And he's AWESOME. Home Free does not only country but a wide range of music. Tim Foust, the guy that was doing the singing, has a wider vocal range than Avi, as someone stated earlier. He actually taught Avi how to hit the lower notes. The massive low note that Tim hits at the end, is not even the lowest he can go.
I'd love to see your reactions to some of Chris Stapleton's music. He is technically country, but his voice and style is one of a kind. He is basically his own sub-genre I think you'll love him. You can start with Tennessee Whiskey or Sometimes I Cry (live at the Bing Lounge). Any song he sings is golden but I think those two are good introductions to who he is.
Anthony Leblanc Each voice=awesome, Tim (& Chance)-low notes=hit you, richest harmonies for days, Adam-Bbox solo =slays!!! U wl have a great time! Where's it at? 😊
Anthony Leblanc Awesome! Can't wait!..I requested HF to do a new vid (not lyric) for "I've Seen" in Baton Rouge or Mississippi Delta, like the song says, it could be Epic!😊
Nobody else covers this, well not nobody, but people don't cover them as much as Pentatonix, of course! I always think about messaging people, but then I figure they should just know already!
for a different take on this song, i highly recommend you check out adam lambert covering it. he sang it on american idol but it was also part of his tour setlist, so there are a bunch of options to choose from. i'm not the biggest fan of country, and neither is adam, so he put a different spin on it that i really love.
Hey I am a brand new subscriber. Great reaction and content you have. You should check out VoicePlay they are another acapella band and have done colabs with Home Free and Pentatonix.
Rule no 1 in reaction is shut-up and listen to the artist then comment All 5 of them have their Bachelor's degree in music …….it's hard to learn when you talk and don't listen so who's singing them or you???? have some respect for musicians you turned me off to the whole song the first time you opened your mouth...…..learning is listening talking is knowing all or showing ignorance
You should better prepare before doing reactions. Do some research first like at least listen to the original song. Some of the comments you make are questionable. You say Home Free has their own sound and that is hard to do. Well, they are not impressionists so of course they will have their own sound. You need to use more descriptive terms... not just "that was so cool" and "oh he went low". We already know that. How about checking what note it actually is on a piano like G2 for example.
You talked way too much during How Great Thou Art. And this song also. How about letting the song speak for itself and commenting after the song is done. Have you ever thought about that? Your site will not last if you are frequently interrupting the songs. That is fact Jack.
Avi sounds so happy in this. If he is happy, then I’m happy.
That last deep bass note was actually Tim Faust. He can get just a bit lower than Avi. This song kind of show cases his insane 5 octave range. Remember how high he went in "Mayday"?
Ray Raudebaugh Foust*
Bass voices get deeper as the person ages so they will both continue to go lower as they age.
Tim and Avi have almost the exact some rang if not but one or two notes. i would love to hear a song with just Tim and Avi.
not true Jason...Tim has a 5 octave range (G#0-A5, I think), Avi I think has 4 octave range.
they are both incredible tho.
Great reaction! Both Tim and Avi are great basses. I find Avi's voice smoother and it just melts me - at any range!
Thank you for another Home Free reaction. ♥

Monika S. What she said!
Well put Monika!
The beatboxer name is adam rupp and yes he is amazing, he does a beatbox solo that is amazing and you should watch

No. I think Avi can get lower :D
Nope. sorry. Everything fine
Actually no avi cannot go lower than Tom avi has more range but Tim can def go lower
@@kayestee4987 watch and check the BASS BATTLE by P.J.S, please)))

It was Tim of HF that did that last bass

The other one that Avi pops in on is Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget
I thought it would be a nice surprise for her?

You should take a look at their cover of How Great Thou Art. It's amazing
Tim Foust can sing way lower than Avi, That was Tim at the end. Love this video!! & Home Free
They can both hit G1, which is Tim's lowest note
@@jackclark1994 yeah but Tim can go allot lower than that

Yes, another Home Free reaction. In The Blood is another good one.
Love your reaction!! Tim Foust’s range is sick! A0 up to A5. Can you believe that! They do other genres equaly as well. Try these: Gospel - How Great Thou Art, Fun - Butts Remix, Pop - All About The Bass.
Showing musical evenings here... But what does AO and A5 mean? I know your comment was two years ago so I don't know if you'll see this or not.
I'm not normally that into country myself, but I find myself loving everything Home Free does. ^_^

Coming back to rewatch some of your reactions in 2024. Hope you are doing well.
That last extended bass note was a G1 and sung by Tim Foust.
Love this video thanks! ✌🏻❤️💕😍💗
I liked when you said,"wOaH that's ReAlLy LoW
Every time Tim sings I know how ice cream feels when hot chocolate is poured on it.
You can't make a harmony of such an amazing song lol
You might want to check out some of Avi's solo work, especially "Change on the Rise". It's wonderful!
I could not take her seriously 😂😂😂
Yes, they are A Cappella so they do have a beatboxer, Adam Rupp. And he's AWESOME. Home Free does not only country but a wide range of music. I like how everybody is comparing Tim to Avi on the base. It's almost like parents comparing six year old.
My Jonny can whoop your Tommy! LOL!
Please react to Pentatonix cover of Havana. I think you'll like it. :)

You looks beautiful😍

2:53 - 2:56
Your facial expression is so cute. You SOOOO remind me of my daughter. 😁
The last note is Tim Foust!
2:53 I’m dying 😂
Nice video! And React to Moana Medley (Voiceplay) or Amazing Grace (Peter Hollens feat. Home Free).
+1
My vote is for Amazing Grace. :)

The last low note in ring of fire was tim foust
I think you might need to commit to one or two Home Free videos a week to keep us Home Fries happy.
That last note was Tim hitting G 1
