Sitting at home and watching this kind of videos, you always think you can do better, but when it comes to the real exam you are just like “Weeeell, I have forgotten everything and have no idea what to say and how”
I had my exam today. For everyone who reads this: It was not difficult. They were talking slowly and they were being very nice and understandable. No need to be afraid!
I remember being SO nervous when being tested for C1 that I've lost all my confidence. Then, after completing my exam after a few months I got back my results: I was qualified enough to get directly a C2 level certification! Be confident in what you know and don't be scared, things will most likely go better than you've expected :)
To everyone doing a Cambridge exam: You can do it! You've got what it takes and you can totally do great in the exam!!! Don't be nervous, everything's going to be okay!
on the fce I was so stressed that I couldn’t speak, my throat was like trembling or smth and I sounded like a dying chicken lol, it sounded like I was crying tbh and uhh
If you think about conversations, though, this is actually a good test--random topics come up and you have to be able to form a response within seconds if you want the conversation to flow naturally. That's part of speaking a language--to be able to quickly digest information, come up with a response, and quickly express it in the language.
I guess it's a good way to test, because when you talk in your native language you're okay to come up with words in few seconds. It depends on practice, so when you can fluently and freely talk on non-native language, you can say you know it well enough.
I did the test and it was surprisingly easy, it may seem intimidating at first glance, but do not fret, it is just your fears taking over you. Be relaxed and act natural for best results, You shouldn't repeat yourself too much and also maintain eye contact for the conversation to flow and don't feel embarassed! Good luck to everyone.
+Amit Guillamón passed FCE this may and want to take CAE next spring. Was it too difficult for you in general or maybe the reading part was an only problem for you?
I took the speaking exam today and everything went okay! My best advice is to start speaking with your partner in english before the actual exam, that way you can both relax, get used to each other's pronunciation and thus do better during the test 😁
For everyone who is having their exam soon - don’t worry, it’s easier than it seems, I got really stressed during Speaking part and still got higher score than I expected. Good luck, it’ll be fine
I have taken the Speaking Paper this morning, and it went quite well! Here are a couple of personal advices: try to get rest the day before, at the day of the examination, try to find out the name of the candidate who will be with you and/or talk to him/her beforehand, try to chill out, and be eventually prepared (at least know the scheme of the test). Don't forget it doesn't HAVE to be perfect as the topics and questions vary a lot, look self-confident and show up as much as you can your vocabulary, grammar (they love when you follow a line of argument, using contrast links, speculating and interacting with your partner) and pronunciation skills. Of course don't forget basic questions (telling which pictures you are about to compare...) Don't forget also that you won't be penalised if you cannot reach a decision (though the easiest), and if you talk about specific opinions/topics as long as it is relevant and you support with reasons and examples. The best way to prepare is trying out with another person (tutor, other student...) while respecting the time limits and the questions. It is also useful to learn a couple of fuctional sentences even though you must be spontaneous. Good luck!
Because where I study I need to pass this kind of test at the end of the English Training Teaching course of five years. Actually, we, in my country, have to pass a Proficiency test in order to express yourself in the necessary level according to the type of group of students that you may work with.
I got my results for the C1 Advanced exam a few days ago and passed with 197 points. Me and some friends did the exam with hardly any preparation and none of us failed. I'm not saying that you shouldn't prepare for it but in the end it was a lot easier and more chill than expected, so you don't need to worry that much. The speaking exam passed by super quick and the other ones were alright, too. I'm of course only speaking from personal experience, but whoever's reading this, you got this! everything's going to be fine!!
I did my speaking part today... it was excellent. I think that the examiner and the interlocutor must create a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere where the candidates can relax and talk freely. And I was lucky enough to be examined in this certain environment and I could say I gave it my best and I feel proud of myself . But of course I could have done better , but what happened happened... lets not think about it. ;)
It's not about your English level of speaking but your speaking ability in general, the young gentleman there sounds witty and well-spoken not just in English but in every language he can speak. I am English but he responded to the questions more smartly than I would perform.
Hello guys! I was in the exact same situation as you, binge watching every youtube video related to the exam and constantly being nervous. To be honest, i was extremely doubtful that I’ve succeeded after finishing it, but to my surprise I managed to get 193 points. Personally, I thought the Reading part was the most intricate.

I have just got my results and I passed with a B grade! I am so happy! I cannot even explain how stressed I was before the exam but now I am so proud of myself 😊 I keep my fingers crossed for everyone!
I did the test today. Yes, I was nervous. Yes, I was at a loss for words at times, or didn't know what to say, or felt awkward about what I had just said. But all in all, it went well, it wasn't actually that difficult. The most important thing is that you relax and don't get hooked up on small mistakes. Then, if you know english well enough, you'll be fine.

I bet these guys have an amazing level of english, but they got "scared". Take into consideration that these tests are like the Olympic Games for the students. You have been preparing yourself for this moment the whole year. Hours and hours of your time spent on improving your vocabulary, your pronounciation, etc. But when the moment of truth arrives, you just happen to have a "bad day" and It's game over.
I have watched everyone as I possibly can I am so proud of you!!! Every single one of you, you did so good and tried your best, keep it up you lovely human beings!!!!
I randomly found this in my recommendations and never knew about these speaking tests until now. Those kids, especially the guy, are really bright and intuitive about the subjects they were given to talk about.
When I applied for the Cambridge exam, they told me that I should go for the FCE. I defiantly said "No, I will take the CAE instead" and, to my surprise, got a C2 certificate. You can do it! You just have to be confident in yourself and give it your best!
If you're interested in the examination side of things, then the examiner's comments are a real gem here. They go in-depth on what they're doing well, minor errors, structural flaws, and just generally add tremendously insightful context on how they're doing in several different aspects at each stage of the exam.
Hey, whoever has the speaking examination in the future, you should not be worried. I had this examination 2 months ago. I was very nervous only in the thought of having this exam. but the secret is to be yourself and think that: they are just some questions you have to answer. It is very simple. Lastly, when you have this speaking exam don't waste your time trying to remember difficult words
For anyone that will take the exam: I only read really positive comments about the exam so I want to write a more realistic one. It might not be as easy as others say. I was surprised that I passed but I did!!! You have to prepare really well beforehand so you aren't too stressed and you will be fine :). So do not underestimate the exam and study really hard, it will go well then ^^ Best of luck 🍀
I underwent the speaking exam today and as a very introverted and timid person I was extremely stressed, but it really wasn't that bad. The approx. 17 minutes it was supposed to take went by fairly quickly and I think both me and the other candidate did well. This video definitely helped me to see how's it gonna go, which hopefully contributed to the good mark I'm hoping for, as speaking is by far my weakest skill :D. The rest of the test is tomorrow. We'll see how that will go.
Seeing this I feel secure and I think to myself GIRL YOU GOT THIS but when my teacher asks me to participate in class I scramble my words and I forget even my name 😭🤧
Im interested in studying abroad, and my english level is C1 Im kinda nervous about doing my certification but Im sure I can do it!. Everyone who's watching and reading this comments, I know you can do it, dont be afraid!!!
I've got my exam tomorrow, this seems pretty doable. I thought it'd be harder but these students seem to be fine. I think the trick is just to calm down and chill, then just really think about what you think of the ... (excercise) and then just talk.
Hello, Katerina! Greetings from Brazil! I intend to take this exam in two years because I really want to feel secure for it. Thanks so much for sharing your examination experience with us! You are a kind soul!
Best of luck! 🤞 If you have time and want a quick exercise: www.cambridgeenglish.org/learning-english/ or visit our Facebook for quick tips facebook.com/CambridgeEnglish/
mine is tomorrow at 4pm, i am more nervous than unprepared, to be frank. also a tip; more often than not, the part of the test youre often most confident about can turn out to be quite tricky! please practice all of the subjects equally and do not underestimate the difficulty of certain subjects.
Thanks a lot for posting this video, it was very interesting! Not only because it illustrates the speaking tasks, but to already consider some frequent mistakes either from stress or the language, that I even did myself while I was taking the FCE. Moreover, it helped to feel more confident about what to expect (I intend to take the test the next year). Thanks again!
I've had many exams with Cambridge and all the times the examiners were super nice, they never had interest into making me feel uncomfortable or embarass me. When I had my first exam I was so so so nervous but the examiner was so nice and kind all my fears of having in front of me an austere person (like our teachers are in Italy aka doing their best to make you anxious and doing their best to make you fail) just... magically disappeared! I would do more exams if I could because I liked the experience, the teachers and the examiners: I just loved to attend that class in the afternoon and I loved to learn and I was excited when I had the exam. Everything was so positive it almost felt unreal, it was my small moment of heaven at school.
I’m gonna take the exam in two months and I am a nervous wreck but reading all of the comments of people saying that they passed gives me confidence. I hope I will too :). Update: I passed! :)
You will pass most definitely, its just your performance can reflect on your level of English you will get at the end all my friends got C1 and only one got B2, and almost all of them are not native speakers. I still need to make the test in about a week.
I'm taking this Cambridge test on the 28th of May and I'm trying to see how everything looks like, and it doesn't seem too difficult, but I guess it depends on the partner as well.Good luck to everyone taking this exam, be confident!
I was freaking out before exam, because I didn't have anyone to practise with. I did well- it only looks so scary. Everything was said slowly and clearly. Just practise regularly and you will be ok. Good luck!
I did the Certificate back in 2018 I think and I really enjoyed it. The person that had the conversation with us was really friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed actually.
I'm having my speaking exam tomorrow. I have the feeling, you cannot really prepare yourself for the speaking test since you do not know what they are going to ask you. I reckon the only thing you can do is: check how the test looks like (easy questions to start with at the beginning, comparing pictures, interacting with your partner..) and maybe learning some phrases (Although you have to react spontaneaously). We can do it :-)!
I did the test two 3 months ago and I honestly thought i was not going to pass it!The listening part was the one I had the best marks, and when I did the exam,it was horrible.I was at the end of the classroom and I was really nervous. However,I passed it!!! I am 18 and I'm totally looking forward to continuing learning English. If you make and effort, you will do it!!
My English is pretty good, I've gotten a C1 in the end, but during the exam I kept switching and mixing American and British accents. So I would for example pronounce the word "mother" like "mo'ah"
07:23 I noticed she was the one who chose which topic the were about to talk and something came to my mind: she's "the leader one", you can tell by just looking at the position of her hands: their ON the table, while the boy is kinda hidden.
I had my exam yesterday. It was way easier than I expected it to be. the examiner was really nice and helpful. Now waiting for the results, I have really high expectations.
Oh my god I have the CAE tomorrow and I feel so awkward and nervous just by watching this... lol I feel like I'm gonna be like the guy in the left. I talk way too much
I had my exam yesterday and it was not as scary as I thought it would be. Before entering the room I was shaking so badly and I was completely terrified but it was not bad at all. Both me and my colleagues made a couple of mistakes but at the end of the day it was way better that I expected. Fingers crossed I will pass🤞🏻
Are you from Romania? Your name looks Romanian (Bianca)! Hope you will pass the exam! I am taking the A2 Flyers in 3-2 days! Hope I will make it through too😮 (I am from Romania.)
I took this exam today and I was really worried about the outcome but everyone was really nice and understanding. I was worried about the "talking to a partner" part since I was alone there. Since I’m not a really talkative person I hoped for my assigned partner not to be silent and push me into taking the lead of the conversation but that wasn’t the case at all. We talked on equal grounds and I was really enjoying it. Before I knew it, it was already over.
heybrother My school just sent me an e-mail saying that Cambridge maybe will lower the way they mark he test, I mean, that they will be "softer" with the following tests because they saw that it was too difficult as almost no one passed it lol. So good luck!! You'll do it fine ;)
All right. I was sceptical about the level of my English, but after watching this I believe I’d be able to get a C1. Not that anyone ever asked for it, lol.
I'm just very few days to deal with the CAE speaking test, OMG. On one hand, I feel quite confident mainly because I've prepared myself for a considerably long period of time. However, I still feel so nervous and anxious that sometimes I think I have no chance to succed in the exam. Definitely, I gotta relax and get rid of accumulated stress; otherwise, it would be rather difficult to cope with the examination.
Thank you for the video. I am really happy because I understood everything 😅 I have been learning English for 10 months and I can say with big confidence it was useful time. But now I’d like to return to exam. What are calm and educated pupils! What a nice teacher, she is so friendly.
I took my exam this May and I'm so satisfied with the outcome. I had put a lot of effort into this despite me already being the top student of my English class. At the end, I finally got a score of 198/210 and a full 210 points on my oral exam which I am so proud of! I actually thought I had messed up the oral exam because I didn't compare the two given pictures and I ran out of time so badly I had to be interrupted by the interlocutor. But nontheless, I got a 100% on it! So don't be scared of this exam, it is not too difficult, the oral exam in the English Abitur (German A Levels) is much more difficult than this, for reference.
It's seems like a friendly talk but jezz, it feels like my heart is racing for them! I have my English demo every end of the semester with professor to critic me and I feel like I die everytime. I can relate!
Hello, My name is Lucety and I am studying at the English Language School in Spain it is exactly in the north of Spain. I am really interested to improve my English that is the main reason why I love looking this kind of videos. I hope to learn a good English, I think it is dificult but not impossible. So, I am ready to do that!!! Thank you so much for your help.
I love watching these kinds of videos. I look at him- Yo le miro a él- To watch es ver, pero pones atención ok. I hope I will be able to learn English or I hope I will be able to brush up on my English Skills.
I'm taking that exam in July. I'm a super shy person meaning that talking to strangers in my native language is already challenging, so let's not mention speaking English to strangers during an exam!
Guys, believe me it's easy if you don't panic. I have just done it and I can tell you that corporal language is also very important, nod and look to your partner when he's speaking but most importantly don't get nervous, it's easy and it only lasts for 15 minutes!
Thank you for the video. It's very useful to be able to show this to students before they go in to do the oral exam. Although, you could have told us if these particular students passed!
Both candidates are at C1 level. You can find a link to the examiner's comments about their performance in the link in the description box.
I'VE FOUND, THANK YOU.
Which grade did they get?
Wow thank you

This feels more like you need to be really fast to think about random stuff rather than being well spoken
Exactly!Cuz I believe the examiners consider that we are also non-native speakers ...
so true!
If you think about conversations, though, this is actually a good test--random topics come up and you have to be able to form a response within seconds if you want the conversation to flow naturally.

Im interested in studying abroad, and my english level is C1 Im kinda nervous about doing my certification but Im sure I can do it!.
Everyone who's watching and reading this comments, I know you can do it, dont be afraid!!!
I can’t even answer those questions in my native language:/ hope I’ll pass though, it looks really hard and stressful
I have the same issue, but with some practice I learned to make random things up on the spot
I've got my exam tomorrow, this seems pretty doable. I thought it'd be harder but these students seem to be fine. I think the trick is just to calm down and chill, then just really think about what you think of the ... (excercise) and then just talk.
That's an excellent way of approaching it! :-) Hope it went well!
"Can I have your answer sheet?".
" MY PRECIOUS !!! ".
Hello, Katerina! Greetings from Brazil! I intend to take this exam in two years because I really want to feel secure for it. Thanks so much for sharing your examination experience with us! You are a kind soul!
My exam is in one month and my hands are already shaking 😂😂
Best of luck! 🤞 If you have time and want a quick exercise: www.cambridgeenglish.org/learning-english/ or visit our Facebook for quick tips facebook.com/CambridgeEnglish/
mine is tomorrow at 4pm,
i am more nervous than unprepared, to be frank.
also a tip; more often than not, the part of the test youre often most confident about can turn out to be quite tricky! please practice all of the subjects equally and do not underestimate the difficulty of certain subjects.
Mine is in a month as well and I feel as if I was taking it tomorrow
Do you pass your exam ??
Tomorrow I'll have my test. Please wish me luck, people of the internet :D
Cobblecreeper Hope it went well

Al final que?
A tip is to disagree to make the conversation last without awkward moments hahhaa
Lollll I might actually do this
Thanks a lot for posting this video, it was very interesting! Not only because it illustrates the speaking tasks, but to already consider some frequent mistakes either from stress or the language, that I even did myself while I was taking the FCE. Moreover, it helped to feel more confident about what to expect (I intend to take the test the next year). Thanks again!
Oh my God!!! Thanks to learning with this video I got a 188/190 on the speaking part
@@pavel2760 thanks a lot for your response. how did it go?
I'm taking this Cambridge test on the 28th of May and I'm trying to see how everything looks like, and it doesn't seem too difficult, but I guess it depends on the partner as well.Good luck to everyone taking this exam, be confident!
+Mihai Marcut Don't worry about your partner. Whether you pass or not doesn't depend on your partner's ability. Good luck!
Dave Alexander Thank you, Dave!
+Mihai Marcut So... How was it?
Antônio V. M. de Oliveira It was quite easy actually, I'll get back to you when my results are coming in, in june 20th, is that ok?
@@MihaiMarcut hey man, how did it end up? :D
I was freaking out before exam, because I didn't have anyone to practise with. I did well- it only looks so scary. Everything was said slowly and clearly. Just practise regularly and you will be ok. Good luck!
Just joining the "I have my exam tomorrow" gang now that I have the chance, don't mind me
Good luck!
hey you seeing the video before your test, you’ll do well! don’t worry, just give your best! good luck!
I thought I had B2 English level but now when I respond to these questions fluently I guess I have C1 level :)

I think that they were too good at this exam. Having a lot of connections between the phrases and improve themselves, even being nervous.
I really liked this video, it´s really important to improve my knowledge and prepare to the test.
I'm watching this while my mind is focus on the day that I'll do this test...do not get nervous is the key, good luck everyone
I talk way too much
Although you already did it a year ago, the guy on the left was clearly the better speaker, and probably got a higher grade
I'm taking the speaking exam tmr and i can totally understand u lol
I’m taking the exam tomorrow, too! I’m so nervous 😥
Julie Mc how did it go ? I’m having it tomorrow too 😬
wow, u must be having a heck of English CAE is biggggggg!!!
Their english is really fluent. they have a good conversation.
guys this is really the easiest part of the whole test. I did it two years ago and got all points.
Don’t feel intimidated! It’s going to be okay!
I don't know what exam I'm gonna take first, the Fce or Cae. How do I know if I'm prepared for it?
I had my exam yesterday and it was not as scary as I thought it would be. Before entering the room I was shaking so badly and I was completely terrified but it was not bad at all. Both me and my colleagues made a couple of mistakes but at the end of the day it was way better that I expected. Fingers crossed I will pass🤞🏻
Are you from Romania? Your name looks Romanian (Bianca)!
Hope you will pass the exam! I am taking the A2 Flyers in 3-2 days! Hope I will make it through too😮
(I am from Romania.)
Did you pass? I will be taking my exam in 2024. Im going for a grade A.
i can't imagine how nervous they were
With every new video on your channel my happiness gets higher and stronger, thanks for it!
Happy to hear that!
I hope everyone passes this exam! I'm here preparing for it because I'll have to take it in about a year.
Yeah me too! Good luck buddy ^^
Soooo mi test is in an hour... and here I am watching this video again.
And how was it? I am so nervous! I don't feel ready at all and i have it on 22th of may! Please give me some tips
I'm afraid too I don't even know if I'll be able to pass the whole exam since listening and spealing are the areas I know the least! xd
heybrother OMG i am giving this on 21 of may !!buy some books like one NationalGeographicLearning one dark blue it will help you!
heybrother My school just sent me an e-mail saying that Cambridge maybe will lower the way they mark he test, I mean, that they will be "softer" with the following tests because they saw that it was too difficult as almost no one passed it lol. So good luck!! You'll do it fine ;)
LunnVic mine too haha
i have my speaking test in a couple of hours keep me in your thoughts yall
Good luck! We hope it goes well for you.
The woman asking students something looks very happy :D I liked her energy
The examinator's voice is so soothing
All right. I was sceptical about the level of my English, but after watching this I believe I’d be able to get a C1. Not that anyone ever asked for it, lol.
My exams is in 7 hours and here i am watching thus video lol
Did you go well?
I'm just very few days to deal with the CAE speaking test, OMG. On one hand, I feel quite confident mainly because I've prepared myself for a considerably long period of time. However, I still feel so nervous and anxious that sometimes I think I have no chance to succed in the exam. Definitely, I gotta relax and get rid of accumulated stress; otherwise, it would be rather difficult to cope with the examination.
I appreciate the fact that you used so many linking words in your comment. Those are highly regarded in such an exam.
Thank you for the video. I am really happy because I understood everything 😅 I have been learning English for 10 months and I can say with big confidence it was useful time. But now I’d like to return to exam. What are calm and educated pupils! What a nice teacher, she is so friendly.
Wow, 10 months only? I’ve been learning English for 7 years and you’re doing amazing. Keep going!
This video calmed me down and gave me confidence when talking english because I really thought it could be harder :0
My test is tomorrow morning, I'm a bit scared haha

I´m taking this test tomorrow and I feel empowered to get very good results in it!
I've got my speaking test around the 24th of November and the written test the 2nd of December and I cannot fail. I'm nervous as hell.
Good luck!
Singapore uses the Cambridge examination but why don't we have oral examinations like that. It would boost students confidence and is just more fun.
Why does the first student have the easier picture?
In my opinion the second set of photos were easier.

It's seems like a friendly talk but jezz, it feels like my heart is racing for them! I have my English demo every end of the semester with professor to critic me and I feel like I die everytime. I can relate!

Hello,
My name is Lucety and I am studying at the English Language School in Spain it is exactly in the north of Spain. I am really interested to improve my English that is the main reason why I love looking this kind of videos. I hope to learn a good English, I think it is dificult but not impossible. So, I am ready to do that!!!
Thank you so much for your help.
Hi Yamaan, It's a pleasure. Well, I'm 34 years old and I'm still trying my best to get reasonable marks to achieve it.
What about you?...

Its never too late
I love watching these kinds of videos. I look at him- Yo le miro a él- To watch es ver, pero pones atención ok.
I hope I will be able to learn English or I hope I will be able to brush up on my English Skills.
How is your English now? still learning ?
the way my speaking is tomorrow and im still coming back to this video...
Yes, the two candidates are examples of C1. We only publish Speaking videos of candidates who are at the expected level.
