When I sat for the FCE my partner and I were given different options for a present, I think, and we agreed before we started talking that we were going to go through a few before choosing the one. And then the exam started and she went straight for the one we were supposed to choose last. It's been 6 years but I'm still annoyed that we had a plan and she made me change our whole loose script.
Yahh, it’s the complete opposite of my teachers… except for one. I think it’s really important to have a teacher that speaks calm and confident to give you a safe feeling so that you’re not that shy or nervous anymore and can speak without stuttering ☹️🫶🏻
Florine was so nice asking Maria some questions so she could explore more her ideas 💡. Also it’s a amazing way to demonstrate that you know how to interact with people. As a English teacher this is what we are expecting from our students.
I took the exam yesterday and it wasn’t nearly as difficult as I expected. For anyone taking the exam don’t be too nervous, the examiners are very friendly. 👍😄
I took the exam on July 29 th and I passed it😁 I remember how worried I was when I was watching these videos. Honestly, the speaking part was not as stressful as I thought. It was unbelievable easy and satisfying. The examiners were welcoming and kind. I have never thought that it will be so easy. I recommend everyone who wants to take this exam to do it, it was an amazing experience for me.😄
Rodolfo Lg Yes, think so, too. Even though she makes some mistakes from time to time (but really few), it doesn't harm her communication and it is awesome really
Dutch people talk good English, because when they were children cartoons were not translated into Dutch, and they used a lot of English words in their vocabulary
When the lady asks the questions I feel as nervous as if I was taking the exam. I try to answer the questions but I hesitate a lot like she was asking me... FOR REAL.
What makes me feel nervous is the woman behind the lady taking notes about their speech. I think they should avoid doing that in front of the students so that they can feel more relaxed and confident.
I have the B2 speaking exam tomorrow and this is the exact exam that was given to me by my teacher, so this video really helps me with an idea of how it's going to go down tomorrow. Thanks!
Remember: The Argentinian speaks Spanish, which is a Romance language, so the phonemes will differ from the Belgian Student who speaks a Germanic language whose sound system is much closer to English.
the problem with the speaking part is that you just have to make up the best situations for each question . but making things up about something you don't like to do is hard sometimes.like for example this question: "which garden would you prefer to spend time in?" like what would i like to spend my time in a garden in the first place? what am i supposed to do? watching ants, bugs? studying plants? sit down on the ground surrounded by flowers doing nothing? , this is the hardest part of the test , the imagination .
When I took the exam, I was thrilled by the fact that the two examiners were called Gillian and one of them asked me if I came from the place where a friend of hers was working at and I did. Her friend was actually my English teacher whose name was Gillian as well.
Tomorrow I am having the speaking part and I am kind of nervous, but these videos Cambridge uploads may be helping me to pass it! A big hug from Uruguay!
Thank God that my exam will be in my own city... So, these videos are helping me to study and stop being nervous with the exam. Thank you so much Cambridge English!
Taking the test Wednesday and this helped me a lot, thank you! Hope I don’t get nervous because English is my third language of four so sometimes it’s difficult to order my brain so I don’t stutter while speaking haha
Three months ago, i came here for training and saw all these comments like "my test is tomorrow" and laughed. Now is my turn to let mine here, i'm taking my exam tomorrow! Wish me luck!!!
Watching those videos i feel they're helping me a lot! It seems like you can get into the interview, take the turn and answer all the questions but in real life you get nervous! Jajja
I am having CAE after 4 days This video is very helpful in order to know how the speaking part is going to be like Thank you Cambridge channel I am looking forward to get CAE certificate God's willing
I'm having my FCE exam today (it's in the afternoon, so I'm doing a quick revision before the exam haha) and this video really helped me, thank you!! Hope I'll pass =D
I watched with to speak while they answer these questions or compare photos and I think improve myself with this videos. Thank you I love your channel and follow.
It's interesting how the examiner refers to the Netherlands as Holland @13:30. Florine acknowledged the name Holland in her introduction but mostly used Netherlands throughout her exam. I also used to call it Holland but stopped at some point... after looking into it though, it seems the country has been called the Netherlands for quite some time. Honestly, it's a bit confusing as many articles tend to switch between the two names but seeminly refer to the same country. A great exam anyway. I appreciate that the examiner's tone is so soothing! XD Good luck to all you lovely ESL learners out there!
Yes. "The Netherlands" refers to the whole country while "Holland" technically only refers to two of the provinces (I believe). HOWEVER, "Holland" is the term that has been used for a very long time in English to refer to the country as a whole. Only now is the term "the Netherlands" starting to become more common. So as you say, you will hear them used interchangeably in conversation to refer to the country as whole.
I'm Emirhan, from Turkey and i'm 13. I study English for almost 8 years, im now B1 or B2. And that girls, when they anwser the questions, like i answer too. This video was easy then i thought.
Florine actually helped Marie a lot asking those questions like "Why do you think so?" Great cooperation, I would like to have a pratner like her.
She's asked to do that, it's one of the tasks of these speakings.
When I sat for the FCE my partner and I were given different options for a present, I think, and we agreed before we started talking that we were going to go through a few before choosing the one. And then the exam started and she went straight for the one we were supposed to choose last.

Yes. She responded well about Interactive/Communication. A lot of contribution to keep the conversation going.
yeah it could help it to have something to say but after a few times it would be so obvious that she need some help
