Man GREAT video! Absolutely told me EVERYTHING I just stayed up all night and day searching the interwebs for the answers you gave and you even included diagrams I was able to screen shoot and use. You sir are my Hero for this week! Thank you again!
Great stuff …Thanks!! What signal does the Holley send to the TCC ? PWM Ground? Also what input signal does the Holley need to see for shifter position (Ranges A, B & C) GND or 5/12V?
Hey man great vid. I have a question about an early 4L80e I'm having a problem with at the shop. It's a 92 Chevy 3500 with a 454 and 4l80e. I had to wire in a new external wiring harness and I keep getting a code 73 for a force motor. Swapped in new ones 3 times still same code. Changed throttle position sensor bc it wasn't reaching 5 volts. New one still isn't reaching 5 volts. I'm thinking the computer but maybe you have an opinion on the subject. I would really appreciate it.
I appreciate the info, I'm thinking my TCC solenoid is acting up. When going into reverse and sometimes drive the truck will stall like the lock up in the torque converter isn't releasing. But after restarting the truck it will be fine immediately.
What were you putting ground probe on each time? Thank you for your videos.🙏 I’m stranded and have no movement when my 4l80 is in gear. Trying to go through all possibilities and this video helps me very much. Thank you sir
I'm sure it would help a little. The temp was between 145-180 when this was happening. It really only went above 170 when I was driving unlocked (3800 stall). Locked it would drop right back down below to or below 170. This just roasted the clutch as it s tsrted slipping and had issed for 30ish miles.
Thank you for the video. This helped me start testing my 4l80e. I found everything ok but I do not have 12v going to pressure solenoid, I tracked it up to pcm. No 12v from pcm. What do you think.
Wait, my truck has been high rev shifting (engine will shift from first to second at around 3500-4000 RPM’s). I noticed that connector of mine had trans fluid in it, can that cause issues??
I keep getting the trouble code p2771 and have checked an replaced just about everything. I'm checking the solenoids from the outside like you did and I get 12.8 on the tcc solenoid. Is this too low for my trans? 2007 silverado 2500hd classic
Tcc will not lock up on mine ( early model ) my solenoid is Reading 10.7 ohm… should read 20-40 on early model.. is it possible that this solenoid are the reason ?
I have a non related issue on my late 4l80. I have a trans fluid drip from that connector. Would that be an oil level issue or a failed seal? I have never been into one and also haven’t seen others with that issue? BTW great video.
Replace the harness. Its a common problem to leak from the seal, that why harness is reasonably priced now. It can cause transmissions codes and make it act up.
#Blaser_Builds So I put a brand new transmission brand-new not used and it brand new engine and my truck still doesn't lock up on 4th gear ⚙️ could it be that it's my torque converter I do have a 236/248 cam tsunami camTexas speed so what do u recommend

In the beginning of your video I saw tranny fluid inside that connector plug. Another 4L80E owner said that was his problem, the seal was not keeping the fluid from leaking out into that connector and it was making the signals go haywire....... I'm hoping thats my problem because I'm getting P0753 (Shift Solenoid "A" Electrical).
I know. But all he changed was that electrical harness with the pins that you ohm tested. I have this code for shift solenoid. I’d hate to buy two new shift solenoids and it’s not fixed. Of course, I’ll pop that connector off and see if there’s any fluid inside that big connector. But it seems like trial and error.
you look like a doctor doing probe with those gloves and your 'tools' lol. so is a solenoid just an electric switch or do they do different things because there's one on the starter and a bunch of other places?
Should be no trans fluid in the trans connector. If so, you need to replace the wire harness. Any fluid in there will short circuits out and cause trans to go into limp mode.
I would agree it should be replaced to stop the leak, but I think "short circuit" thing is debatable, considering every electrical component in the trans is submerged in fluid.
@@BlaserBuilds it goes in reverse fine and in drive fine . The harness is for a 4l60e but I bought a adapter to go from 4l60 to 4L80e . It drives down the road but I don’t fell it shifting

The 4l80 uses pressure to hold the clutch released, so could be a solenoid issue, or low pressure issue or something.

4l80 in full manual mode no ecm when I have transmission in 2 gear by it self it go in to Drive then when I put it into drive it goes into overdrive?
Do you know what kind of symptoms s a bad TCC might have
Question my tcc reads at 4.6 -4.8. Is that still decent or bad. I'm getting a loud pop going from 1st to 2nd gear.
Thanks, I just found my pressure control solenoid to be zero resistance without wasting fluid and time.
Hi can you help me out so their are three sensors. two on the transmission and one one the transfer case
On my pressure pins c and d mine read 4.8. Could this be an issue?
Anyone know what would cause hptuners to see 1-4gears by 20mph
Doesn’t see P-R-N but won’t physically shift passed 2nd gear?
Is this the same diagram for 4l60e ?
