hi. ....I visited desi crafts shop website and found the blocks to be very expensive. request you to do a video on colour mixing and also inform where these colours are available. I felt fabric paints are more easily available than the waste based ones. pls let me know the durability of water based colors. will they bleed when washed
Very Helpful thank you!
Thank you for watching :)
This is so beautiful, I can see that you are so talented!
mam, your tutorial is very informative.I will be very thankful to you if u kindly tell me what are water based colours and in which ratio to add binder and colours.thank you .
Thank you for watching, the ratio of binder and ink is only to maintain consistency. Put enough ink to obtain the required color.
Can u plz show us pic of binder in a detailing video
Really nice video. once applied on fabric, ist washable ? will the color fade or washed away ?
What color should I use for block I wanted to make tote bags. I have blocks with me but which is the best brand which will not come out after a wash
Hi I saw many videos on block printing. but your way of using felt piece made a lot of difference. Kudos to you. May I know which option of paint works out cheaper. fabric paints or the ones you showed. I want to do it on a bed sheet

hi there.
thanks for the idea. I have tried it. it was awesome.
but I want to know one thing. if I have done anything worng accidentally, is there any way to remove the color. please let me know. that would be very helpful.
Hi! if you have used a permanent color, there is no way to remove it in domestic setup. Professionals are able to remove colors up to some extent with help of correct chemicals and process.
Where can I buy these wooden blocks please let me know
acrylic colour r easily availsble.. if i use acrylic colours shud i add binders?? plz do reply...
No, no need to add binder to acrylic colors. They are ready to use.
Thanks
The white on your wooden “block”, is that painted, or is there a type of coating on it? Thank you for sharing!
It's a coating of white chalk. All new professional blocks come with this coating. The idea is to print and test if a block is made perfectly.

It will be a permanent color.
beautiful.....which CLR u used acrylic or any other?
hi, you can use any color,
Please read old comments, this question has been answered so many times.
Hi
Thank you for info. You said that after washing the extra paint will go off how is that. And do you use fabric paints. Other than that what else should be added to the colours
What colors can we use other than fabric colors?
This is exactly what I was looking for.YOu are the best :) I have a question though.PLease could you tell me how to wash the blocks to remove the color?
Thank you +shikhaniyogi :) Wash it under running water (tap water), you can use a toothbrush to remove the ink from difficult areas. Then carefully remove the water with soft cloth. It should be dried by wiping it with cloth and leaving in the open for drying. Don't dry in sun as harsh sun may harm the wood.
Where can i buy this blocks tell me

Great job
Where can i get binder n fixer
Wow amazing
Excellent work
Hi mam it is very nice. I like to know whether the block has to be dipped in oil overnight before useing it on fabric. Before printing the fabric has to be washed and ironed. PL reply to my queries.
Dear Sumathi mam, sorry for the delay in replying. No, the block shouldn't be dipped into oil before printing. Oil repulses the water, and when you use the dye, the print won't come well. If the cloth has starch on it, then definitely wash it before printing. Also, ironing the fabric is advisable if you don't have a proper printing table setup where you can pin the fabric tightly to the table. If you have a proper printing table setup in place, you don't have to iron the cloth as pins will take care of it.
muito bom
Very well explained. Love it. Question-- how do we clean the blocks and use another color on the same block?
Hi Laxmi, we have posted a blog piece about taking care of wooden blocks on desicraftshop.com I hope you will find it useful. 🙏

I have bought Acrymine dyes, binder and fixer for block printing. but I feel the colour fades after washing. Can you suggest me what can I do to fix the colors. Are acrymine dyes OK to use for synthetic as well as cotton fabrics. your response will be very helpful and highly appreciable. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your comment. Acrylic dyes are good for starters. But they tend to melt in heat and also scrub, making the pattern look bad after a few washes. So nothing is better than a water based dye. High amount of dye fixer may burn the fiber of the fabric and too low amount may result into smudged pattern after washing. So, it is very important to use just right amount of fixer while making the color. A lot of experiment is required to find out what is right amount of fixer.
Thank you for your response. Are acrymine and acrylic dyes same? Is water based dye available with you?

Water based Dye. From your comment it seems you've used acrylic paints to print. Acrylic tends to break into pieces over time. However, if used with good amount of thinning agents, this can be avoided. Water based dyes are the best for printing on silk or cotton although silk requires much lengthier process that that of cotton. Water based dyes are a combination of paste dyes and binder. You can ask at a local craft supply shop about water based dyes. Hope this helps.
Colour nd thinner use krti hun mai paint krne k liye....wooden se paint krne k liye bhi same kr skte kya use
same use kar sakte hain. paint me thinner thoda jyada daalna hoga bas.
Is temperature important, or linen?
So beautiful😍💓
