I think the entire idea is it's featuring people who are somehow involved with the coming project. Kojima himself said that there are many people besides Jordan Peele contributing to the next game. When Jordan Peele is just a part of an ensemble, these stars and directors start to look more normal as a team rather than randos wishing the studio happy birthday. The only I feel was truly random was Geoff Keighley. Though he still might consult a bit.

It is crazy how time flies. Since the split with Konami and P.T. cancellation we all eagerly waited for what's next and here we are now! Mr. Kojima started from scratch with brand new studio and created Death Stranding, symbolizing how we need each other and create strands with others. Cannot wait for OD. Congratulations and we are all happy that Hideo Kojima have 100% freedom in creating.
