Recipe:
Makes about 15-18 balls
Ingredients:
1 can (14oz/397g) Sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened Cocoa powder
1 tablespoon (15g) Butter
For coating:
• Desiccated coconut
• Crushed pistachios
• Chocolate sprinkles
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan over low heat melt the butter, add sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes very thick and starts to pull away from the bottom and sides of the pan. About 6-8 minutes. Do not overcook.
2. Remove from heat and pour into greased plate or pan. Let cool for 1 hour.
3. grease your hands with butter and shape into small balls. Then, roll in topping of your choice.
4. Keep refrigerated before serving.
As a brazilian, i really can tell that your recipe is very accurate!
❤
Concordo!!!
Is their a a coco powder brand i should use cause my got burnt💀
@@emilyrojas145 no u should just do the entire thing on low flame, have patience and continuously keep mixing it
Brasil né pai? receita boa é com agente mesmo
You can roll them in cocoa powder, chopped almonds, colored sprinkles, chopped peanuts. Great recipe. Thanks!
If it's not thickening for you, you need to bring it to a boil first while stirring constantly so it doesn't burn. It will definitely take more than 6-8 minutes if you're cooking it on low heat.
I just tried this confection in my recent trip to Brazil. This thing is sooo good it should be illegal! That's all I have to say.
As a brazilian I can say you're totally right! Dang, I love brigadeiro!!! ❤️
tip: do not use butter to make the ball, pass some cold water on your hand, with butter the confectionery does not stick and it tastes like butter.
can you just freeze it for another hour? i’ve seen people freeze it for two hours and they didn’t mention that you should butter your hands or anything like that
@@samootaratyall well, you can but i dont really recommend it. I think the best option is either using a very very small amount of butter in your hands or using cold water as the comment says
What about to put oil on hands?
@@MaryJFox this could work for the coconut flavoured ones use coconut oil. For the chocolate flavoured ones I think a small amount of butter is okay
I am Brazilian you did like us! This is classic ! Everyone loves it!
my moms brazilian friend made some of these for us, was soooo so delicious!!
brigadeiro and a very common sweet here in Brazil, I eat it every time I have it here at home and it's very good
Recipe 😭
I have a Brazilian friend and his moms brigadeiros are really good
I always wanted to try these like Brazilians have the best desserts
My grandma and I used to make these together. We didn't even speak the same languages, but it is still one of best memories.
That’s so cute! Where are you from and where is she from?
This recipe is Super Right! With COCOA POWDER and NOT "Chocolate Powder or Chocolate Milk Powder" Because chocolate powder and Chocolate Milk Powder have VERY Sugar. I have lived in Brazil for 33 years, city São Paulo :)
From one Brazilian to another!!! Thank u!!!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷😍🤙😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Do we let cool in the fridge?
@@pua4006 yes you have to in order to set, and leave it in for a day and then enjoy 😊
shelf life?
@@angelunoche586 if you dont want to eat it all in a day you can store it in the fridge for later, but do not keep it outside as it will mold or defrost
I remember making this treat with my mom as a child 💞 didn’t know that it was brazilian 😀
Perfect! We love this candy in my country (Brasil).Congratulations!!!
As a Brazilian I like what you did looks accurate to the real thing
What a pity that I cant just take from the video to eat some.

BRASILLLLLLLLLLL REPRESESNTANDO A CULINARIA DOCE!
This recipe is so delicious, thank you! I've added a shot rum and while cooling it down I think about of adding a pinch of chili powder to the cocoa powder
Wow!! Looks so yummy 😋👍 it's really very easy to make 😍 I'll try this recipe 👍😊 thanks for sharing
as one of the Brazilian persuasion, I say this is a kosher recipe of brigadeiro. nice!
though the music is a bit cartoonish
Mmmmmmm... those brazilian chocolate truffles taste so good. That taste so sweet and crunchy treats. Great recipe. See u next time.

*Brigadeiro
Ss realmente é mto bom
Its "brigadeiro" not "truffles" 😉
You could try chopped macadamia nuts. I was just in Portugal and I stayed in a hostel that had a bunch of Brazilian's, and they made this for everyone. Now that I am home, I want to share it with my family.
I made this today and it turned out to be absolutely amazing! Delicious with the rich bittersweet combination.
I made these today .. It was suggested by my friend luca .. It turned out brilliant!
Did they taste bitter?
@@jenishaanilkumar299 no
If I say in one word it's delicious 🤤
I am going to make this right now!
Thinking chopped peanuts to top!
This is a great recipe, I can make a lot of this to give to my friends for the holidays .
This recipe is very delicious I live in Brazil and if you came here one day and what else will you see is brigadeiro and very tasty
I make these often. Sometimes I use plain cocoa powder like this recipe and sometimes mix both cocoa powder and chocolate milk mix as per other recipes
Thank you so much, this has helped me with my project!!
You can also spice them up with sea salt or pink pepper as toppings, and maybe some rum added during cooking the chocolate for more flavour. Keep up the good work!
Please, don't mess up our food!
O Cara querendo tacar sal no BRIGADEIRO
Wtf mano, brigadeiro é DOCE pq tu quer tacar sal?
English: Wtf bro, brigadeiro is SWEET why add salt?
Wtf? Kkmmmmkkkkkk
BRO THATS A SWEET
I like this food from childhood but don't know the name, it's been years since I ate this food, now I know, thanks!
I read you should stir the mixture for 15-20mins. From my brazilian friends. To keep in the fridge for more than an hour as it maybe still warm. Roughly 1-2 hrs. Im going to try this once we moved to our home as we have a country style kitchen..i want to experience this
It's too easy and I'll definitely try to make it...You can roll also roll this in colourful sprinkles and can also pour vanilla or other flavoured syrups on it in a beautiful design.
You guys should give it a try. Easy. Tasty. Addictive.
Do we have to take unsalted butter or normal butter?
@@AddyV
Unsalted butter.
Thanks so much for sharing this receipt. I have made it and coherente with Hemps.
We are making this now, and our toppings will be cocoa powder, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and a cinnamon/brown sugar/powdered cayenne pepper mix🤤
I’m gonna make this for Valentine’s Day, so easyand looks so yummy ❤️
My student Helena is suggesting powdered milk (e.g. Leite Ninho) as a topping.

Chicken Cream Recipe!:
Milk cream, tomato sauce, shred the chicken and put it together in a pan, mix it until it turns into a cream, (use this on rice) This food is used on birthdays and is very common here in Brazil
For the cocoa powder ingredient I recommend using the same you use for hot chocolate so that that way you don't have to strain it. The stirring part is pretty tricky. You need to stir the entire time until it becomes thick one way to tell if it's ready is you put your spoon and slide across it and if it separates and comes together quickly, then that means it's good. Another way is if it falls from your spoon in clumps. you don't have to put it in a greased pan to refrigerate. All you need to do is put it in any pot and It will cool in 30 minutes. greasing your hands with butter is very important so that it doesn't stick to your hands. for toppings, I recommend chocolate sprinkles.
tres bonne idee et simple a realiser. merci comme d’hab super
Recceite svp en français
I did this with coco powder! It was a bit more bitter, but delicious
Tip from a Brazilian: don't forget to eat what's left in the pan
Or give it to a kid eat
@@tigerlovesbunny4110 but here even adults eat it lmao
Wow I love ❤️ chocolate and I love the music I’m dancing 🕺 now 🤗
Ur recipe is very perfect.. keep rocking
Very delicous i recomed it to people
If you blend / grind up freeze-dried raspberries, then sift out the seeds, the resulting powder has a very strong raspberry flavor and seems like it could be good for this?
My mom make chocolate fudge similar but with sugar and more butter
I’m gonna try this now
Great recipe
Try beijinho, it is a coconut alternative 🤤
Ótimo ❤
Hi that looks droolicious. Do they need to be refrigerated or will stay fine at room temp?
cold is better, in my opinion, (put it in the fridge), and use some ice water to model, not butter.
You can actually roll them in icing sugar, brown sugar,dark/white chocolate syrup or mix of crushed peanuts, almonds& pistachio... Pls give a like if u like my suggestion..
Msg from India!
LOVE IT

pass a little cold water on your hand, not butter, the butter doesn’t let the candy stick and it tastes like butter.

In a tight lid container 7 days in the refrigerator but take it ou 30 mins before eating because will be too firm, room temperature usually 7 days but I leave out only for 5 days in air tight container in a cool place.

Let it cool on the plate outside till the mix isn’t hot to your hand and then put in the fridge
