I literally just made this for my dad’s work last night! I love your recipes. I always check your website for a recipe before I start baking. So delicious! I was short on cream by a bit so I topped it off with eggnog! And I rolled some of them in crushed candy cane 🥰
@@PreppyKitchen Both of My Favorite Flavors are Milk/Dark Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Truffles And White Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Truffles.
I made these but doubled everything and used Jack Daniels liqueur! I used dark melts and it worked out perfect, I didn’t do the melt over the simmering water did my melting in the microwave. My final mixture made 30 amazing truffles! I used Cocoa powder, crushed peanuts and toasted coconut to coat them in! They were well received by my recipient! This is not the recipe I used but your other one you used with toasted pecan nuts! The easiest recipe I’ve ever used! Thank you! 🥰
These are divine. Top tip - when using those moulds, once set, add some soft ganache on top of one mould, then place the other mould directly on top and allow to set. Then peel off the top mould and pop the balls out the bottom mould! Allow to come to room temp then add toppings.
We love mocha. So I would add some instant coffee crystals to the cream, before adding the chocolate and stir until the crystals are completely dissolved. Maybe add a bit of Tia Maria to the ganache.
I made dark chocolate ones. Added some peppermint schnapps and Mozart chocolate malt liquor. Worked great being rolled in dark chocolate powder and candy canes
John, I’m gonna make an official statement here. Being a chocoholic person that I am If anyone; and I mean anyone; offers me this assortment of chocolate truffles he would have his way with me no matter what. But if he offers them to me with nice champagne he would have do him anything he wishes for or wants. I hope that your husband is appreciative of the blessing of having you as his gorgeous man and chef. Merry Christmas to you and your entire beautiful family. Greetings from Damascus Syria where the Christmas tree originated from.
I made these and added an orange cream bakery emulsion to the ganache for one batch and a cake batter bakery emulsion to the second. They both turned out delicious! Thanks for another wonderful recipe!
I threw the chocolate chips in my food processor and practically made a powder. Then poured hot cream in as it was running. Ran a few seconds until it was a smooth shiny ganache. Then poured the mixture in a measuring cup then into a silicone mold. Easy.
I absolutely love Truffles. Me and my Dad tried making them and we added Vanilla extract to the mixture. Not sure if it was that or we cooled it too long, but they went hard as rock. Delicious to taste but almost had to have a dentist visit haha.

These look amazing! Your videos have inspired a baking obsession for my five year old daughter! She has made many of your recipes and loves to watch your videos everyday. We actually just finished making macarons!
I tried this recipe to make my partner some chocolates for Christmas and they loved it! I rolled mine by hand, but it was very messy and took a long time to harden. I think maybe it was the chocolate I used, or it was too hot? I rolled them in cinnamon sugar, cocoa powder, and dipped others in white chocolate and melted peanut butter chips. The dipping was risky since it melted the ganache, but as long as I was quick it worked pretty well! Did it look pretty and refined? No, but did it taste amazing? Yes! I had an easier time just dumping some melted chocolate on top of it while it was on parchment paper than dipping it directly into the melted chocolate. I put sprinkles on top to make it look a bit fancier, haha. Since my partner liked them so much I’m sending them this video for the recipe!
I love this. It reminds me of making brigadeiro but when I make that, I have to constantly stir for about 40 minutes. I usually roll them in cocoa powder or sprinkles. I must try your truffle recipe.
Thank you, love your videos! Also: Maple Syrup/ Maple Syrup Liqueur white chocolate ganache, dipped in milk chocolate, rolled in white shavings. They’re the best along side of dark truffles - basic semi sweet ganache, dipped in dark, rolled in dark shavings.
I just made your gingerbread cookie and cinnamon roll recipes with my 8 and 3 year old grandkids and we had a BLAST! I just found your channel this week and have watched 10 hours of your videos already. I can’t wait to try these when I’m baking for adults. Thank you for all you’ve done to spice up our holiday!
Nice recipe. Instead of a double boiler, I melt the chocolate by pouring hot cream over the chocolate. I sometimes like to do a raspberry or Irish cream filled truffle.
When I make ganache, I heat the cream till just boiling, pour it over chocolate pieces and let sit for 5 minutes. Then stir. That way you don’t have to mess with the double broiler and your chocolate is at the perfect temp to melt!
I thought I'm done making Christmas treats and then I happen to see this video.. I luv your recipes John.. So now Im gonna make this too.. So much luv from Sri Lanka 👍
Cocktail sticks are great for keeping the mess down. 👌🙏 I am making these with my boys in the week . Just making sure we get everything we need , hence why I am watching you video. ❤️
The recipe is awesome!! So easy to make, I have a question; did you say keep them refrigerated once their made? That is what is left over once you enjoy some after making them
Hi yummy truffles thank you. Quick question please, can you freeze the truffles already decorated with things like cocoa, sprinkles and coconut. Thanks😊
Hey John! I love your videos so much! I have made truffles very similar to these for friends and parties! They are totally the best!! Could you maybe make some more tea time recipes? I love having tea with my grandparents on the east coast during summer, but I feel like a winter tea party would be so fun and I’m in need of some recipes!!

I love making truffles & your recipe looks easier than the one I’ve used in the past-I’ll definitely give it a try for a New Year’s party. I might add a bit of Grand Marnier liqueur to flavor the chocolate or Amaretto. Thanks for all of your recipes!
John, I am learning so much from watching your videos. Thank you so much, not only just the great recipes and instructions, but your lovely personality and beautiful smile. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Love from Grandma Linda in Martinsburg WV.🤗
Rather than standing there Trying to chop the chocolate into the right consistency consistency I just throw The individual bars of chocolate into my food processor with is with the shredding blade.. Melts faster and is so much easier than chop chop chopping
Merry X'mas et Happy Holidays hun 🧚🏻♀️🎄I.baked shortbread using your recipe with berries et nuts as add ins they were fab so Thank you for that and also made these in white chocolate stuffed with a hint of rose.petal jam in a mould and then garnished with dried petals and one.more variation in dark chocolate with dates et pistachios for Christmas eve dinner. They were polished off in a blink et a flash ☺.
Primera vez que veo se ensucia las manos... Muy buena receta, aunque me habría gustado que hiciera de varios sabores, como las trufas rellenas de naranja o menta o, algún otro sabor, aparte del chocolate

In Brazil we have the famous “brigadeiro”, a truffle made by cooking condensed milk, butter and chocolate. Pretty awesome.

How much liquor did you add? I have lots of nice ones, but I am afraid my chocolate will seize.
Gracias por decir que es muy fácil porque yo no hago casi nada con chocolate derretido me da miedo pero qué bueno que dices que es fácil. Gracias

I made the truffles today and added a bit of Cointreau to the mixture. The result was really delicious. Thank you for the recipe.
We love mocha. So I would add some instant coffee crystals to the cream, before adding the chocolate and stir until the crystals are completely dissolved. Maybe add a bit of Tia Maria to the ganache.
Oooh that sounds SO GOOD, I'll have to try it!

In Brazil we make our truffles with butter and condensed milk, I've never tried this way before!
Thank you for the recipe! I prefer to roll all truffles first and chill in fridge. Less mess in your coating
I like making these and then dipping them in melted chocolate. Nice, hard chocolate outside with silky ganache inside. So nice.
I made these and added an orange cream bakery emulsion to the ganache for one batch and a cake batter bakery emulsion to the second. They both turned out delicious! Thanks for another wonderful recipe!
