Genius, I've ways take the hose off the disposal but came across this video two days ago. I never even thought about doing it this way. I bought the tool you used and in minutes it was cleaned out. Thank you !
Have to share something clever (and cheaper) from another video. Put the tube from a roll of paper towels over the fitting after having removed the chrome cover and the plastic cap. Blow into it to clear the clog. You may laugh, but it works.
Terrific video >> Well-explained, intuitive, great visuals. Thank you so much for isolating the problem components and saving me much aggravation and money.
thanks for the video. Got any ideas on how to quiet the airgap? Ours makes a lot of noise when dishwasher is running and kind of defeats having a quiet dishwasher....
Is this brush going down the small, round plastic pipe that's under this cap or the spaces between that inner pipe and the outer structure? I'm not bringing up gunk from either area. The brush just hits a dead end and I twirl it about and it comes up pretty much clean. But there are soap suds in this capped space!
Great video! Well explained and appreciate the various views (side, top and underneath the sink). Time to clean my dishwasher air gap. Thank you for your helpful video.
I've been having soap suds coming out of my air gap, not water, when I'm just running water and doing hand washing of glassware -- not even running the dishwasher at all at that time, and the fixture doesn't look dirty or clogged -- so why is it spilling out suds? Thanks!
I have a brand new dishwasher and disposal but I have water coming out. The plug has been removed from the disposal. It's almost as if the air gap can't handle the volume of water. Any ideas?
Thank you for sharing 🙏 I will try it.

Thanks I’ll try that next time

You’re welcome. I hope you have success unclogging your drain.

Not that I know of
Thanks so much for sharing. Useful info when I needed it the most👍🏼
Glad it was helpful!
thanks that helps
I didn't understand about how to clean out the hose without having to get under the sink and disconnect the hose, please explain,
Put the line cleaner down the Airgap
I do not have a garbage disposal and it’s still clogged.
Thank you!

The brush should end up in the disposal and you should be able to see it by looking in the disposal hole. Yours may be clean enough.

I’m going to guess that you’re using too much soap and getting too much bubbles backed up
No clog. Water just shoots right out! I just put a new hose on it, too.

I’d start with asking the person that installed it.
I can’t find the link to the brush. I don’t see your comment in the string.
best cleaning brush for this job is only $6 on Amazon, here is the link,

If you click on the link in my comment section, it’ll take your right to the brush
Where's the link to the tool? I don't see any show notes.
If you click on the …more link you’ll see the expanded text and you may have to click more again to see the link to the tool
Mine is not connected to a garbage disposal
Good synopsis. You mentioned the alternate approach, but you didn't really explain it (not that it's complicated).
Alternative method is taken the connector off of the disposal and cleaning it out in that fashion. It is a lot messier.
Thank you very much for your video. Can you tell me what is the exact name of the brush you bought from Amazon? There are so many. 🙏🙏
