Hi, Thanks for the video, I'll test it. I don't know if you will see my comment, but I also have some recommendations: At 3:09 I recommend disabling Client for Microsoft Networks, unless you really need to have a peer-to-peer computer network at home, that is, for your computer to access the shared HD of another computer or printer in the same home, most people at home don't have it. The fewer services you leave enabled on the network card, the better, there are fewer open ports, more security, less memory used for useless things. In fact, for use at home when you only use it for internet access, the only thing you need to leave enabled on the network card is TCP/IPv4, even IPv6 you can leave disabled, it is unlikely that you will have an IPv6 network at home. And of course I don't recommend using wifi to play online if you want to be competitive, just the wifi itself already has a minimum lag of 20 ms, on average it will be 60 or 80 ms just for using wifi, if your wifi is good. Sorry for the English, google translator helped me. ;)
Interrupt Moderation is also required for modern, high bandwidth Ethernet that uses RDMA tech. Flow Control is as well. And RDMA will greatly improve bandwidth of transfers and lower latency by a good bit.
I'll have to do this later and watch the how the driver reacts. I've had throttling index off for so long and didn't think to use latency mon to test it. Thanks for this. Every ms helps 😂
I did several runs while using Latency Mon. With a hexadecimal setting of "ffffffff" I avg 0.035 while in game on a server. With the decimal setting of 10 I avg 0.045... I'll leave it on hex.. but thankyou for showing us how to actually test all these optimizations. Once I open a browser I get 0.043. so.. it's close no matter what. =)
wouldn't this increase network latency because packets flow less frequently as packets will be bundled together resulting in less frequency (more latency) but more resource efficient packet transmissions
I don't have IT Rate setting to test but the best result for me was IT disabled and "10" NTI. I don't remember changing NTI but it was disabled and when paired with IT disabled the latency was atrocious. IT disabled and "10" NTI the latency is nice and low. Thanks for the info 👍
Another amazing video :) i went from 0.20 Highest execution (ms) with int mod on and throttling FFFF to 0.09 With int mod on and throttling on at decimal 10 🙂
What about RX and TX offload? I found that with all offloads turned off and interrupt moderation enabled, the baferbloat test gives me the best results. I have an Intel 1219-V Ethernet adapter. The other interesting settings are Transmit and Receive buffers. The values in these fields have a strong effect on jitter at least.

Ok so I just found out today that there are more than 1 nae servers and I found this out while using gear up for the first time and saw what server I was connected to in the bottom right. It was on Virginia Beach and I was getting 35 ping like usual, then in the middle of the game I noticed my ping drop suddenly to 25 ping and I checked back on gear up and it said I was now on Ashburn servers, then later in the game again it suddenly dropped to 7 ping! But as I played more games I found out that It almost always directed me to Virginia Beach servers. I did some quick research on how I can force it to play on Dublin Ohio servers and I found out about blocking the ip addresses of the Virginia Beach and Ashburn servers. Hey Man! Hello, i love your content. I'm a fellow tech guy and i like watching this kind of video to stay up to date with all the software mambo jumbo. I just wanted to point out a slip on the thumbnail of the video. I'm sure you are very familiar with latency or more in general time units, i mean, you are, it's clear, and this must be a slip surely. In the image you've drew 0,044 ms and 0,118 ms. Now, a normal educated person sees the numbers, sees ms and gets the idea. But when a more tech/scientific/trained person sees those numbers, they still get the idea, but immediately see the units are wrong too and i am afraid it will hurt your channel in the end. They will be less likely to bounce yor content to annoying people that bugs them for tech support. I mean, i should be paid by content creator for how much i share their content, we do that a lot! XD For anyone who's confused, 0,044 ms means 0,000044 s. Wich is 44 us (microseconds). So the correct units should be 44 ms or 0,044 s. I'm sure this is not voluntary to make seem your number better, you're not that cheap. ;D
Thanks for the heads up, I used these measurements since it’s the most easily recognizable by a normal pc user, I wanted to make sure everyone understood it easily
Interrupts basically let the game say no i'm interrupting what ever else is requesting. So basically it's like a QoS right? It's something very similar to NVidia Reflex where it will interrupt the frames being generated if it's able to push a newer frame before the older frame was pushed. So the new frame is interrupting the old frame and taking it's place. (Only know this from the Nvidia video that they published showing the tech. Basically it all comes down to optimizing the timing, which modern windows does pretty decently.
I have a question, for me it doesn't let me set it to decimal "10" it automatically changes it to hexadecimal "a", I am aware that they both mean the same thing but will it work in the same way and if not how to fix it?

Hey, I have a question. I have only done the setting in regedit, as it appears that itr it's not an option for me, and the "Highest execution (ms)" for me is around 0,009 ms, sometimes going up to 0,010. Hey khorvietech I’ve been experienceing this weird I don’t even know if you call it input lag but I’ve changed isp so many times thinking it would fix this but basically if I disconnect from the internet my games feel nice and smooth as they should and as soon as connect online thers this sluggishness I want to say that really holds me back from playing anything competitively at all it’s like it’s missing information or something things just feel very inconsistent help in any way please I’ve been going so far down a rabbit hole I’m starting to think it’s emi lag or electricity input lag witch is this weird unexplainable delay even from ppl with beefy systems that’s basically an anomaly but these people I’ve been talking to say they get it even when offline so in my situation I just don’t know faulty internet line running to my appt? Improper grounding? Like the list can go on
Thanks for the video Khorvie, I'm a little skeptical though because although it might reduce latency it could affect connection quality therefore not having the desired effect. For exmaple it your bufferbloat or ping is affected dues to spikes then would it not be pointless??

This was covered by Timecard several years ago btw. Not being a dick in anyway but like you said you've never seen anyone else talk about this but that should be your main credit since he mainly brought attention to this issue 👍
it stacks, in 3 intervals for example would you rather have 120 to 240 to 360 or rather have 44 to 88 to 132. its the overall 3x difference that you can feel
lower interrupt latency allows the pc to work on other things that can help with performance, in this case 3x as fast, the magic isnt necessarily in the singular driver, but the fact the pc can work on others much faster

I have only done the setting in regedit, as it appears that itr it's not an option for me, and the "Highest execution (ms)" for me is around 0,009 ms, sometimes going up to 0,010.
I have looked for answers if this number is EXTREMELY fast, but I can't find anything besides ChatGPT saying it is.
Is this extremely fast?
I believe so
Love you bro.♥
Hope you are feeling alright.
Bro i can’t find interrupt moderation rate in my setting where can I find find it???
Could try skipping it
Interrupt moderation disabled is so much better for me
Love your work, thanks man 🎉. Is there a way to write all of your settings in power shell so people can just run the command and it sets up all your settings to windows 😊
There might be but I wouldn’t know where to start

What do I do if I don't have interrupt moderation and interrupt moderation rate?
Could check if its in the registry(pinned comment) or get a new intel adapter
@@khorvietech thanks will check rn.
Thanks for the video Khorvie, I'm a little skeptical though because although it might reduce latency it could affect connection quality therefore not having the desired effect. For exmaple it your bufferbloat or ping is affected dues to spikes then would it not be pointless??
I get an A+ on bufferbloat with this
I didn’t find “interrupt moderation rate “ on mine. Why? “Interrupt moderation” yes, but the second one no. Why ???
Depends on the adapter, you should be ok with just the one
Great Video! should i disable these wake on things in the ethernet settings ?
sure if you'd like
I dont have the interrupt moderetion rate in the advanced network settings
same
It depends on some people’s adapters, some have it and some don’t
the only pc tweaker that actually off camera looks for good ways to help our computers our, and by the way is it recommended to download Atlas OS? I dont know and want to lower my delay, fps and get less background proccesses
try foxos win 11 version
@@khorvietech Thank you, im not into custom windows systems really and i dont know how to setup one but im going to look for something
In my registry, next to the networkthrottlingindex, there was also a “systemresponse” index, what should that be? Thanks
I have 0
Hey can you do a video about Timer Resolution aswell? and how we could set it to lowest without running sketchy apps in background?
I’m looking into timer res atm
I have no Interruption Mode rate Need help
if this fixes my constant high input delay after playing for 30 min ill give you a fat kiss.
Let me know if it does
Let me know too 😊 after 30min the delay is so bad
@@khorvietech not too sure atm, it still seems like it gets worse but maybe not as bad. If you play for too long it becomes unplayable and the only fix is to have the pc shut down for like an hour before starting again. I don’t get what’s the issue.
Hello, nice video. Are you able to do a video about best settings for process lasso pls?
Perhaps
Question: Does lowering your res actually benefit your performance in fortnite? i dont rlly feel a diff and when i do it feels like placebo, maybe run benchmarks or just straight up reply to this comment if its actually worth playing with lower res, i have a 3060 and i5 12400 if it matters
I play native personally but the theory behind stretch or lower res is that it’s less pixels needing to be rendered for better performance
@@khorvietech i just switched back to native and somehow i get more fps, does that make sense ?
Yeah, some resolutions hurt performance
@@khorvietech i used to run 1720x1080 and switched to 1920x1080 which gave me more fps
Hello Khorvie, i've followed your guide and discovered i already had IM enabled and set to adaptive, so i set it to medium and they moved to the registry part. I already had the "file" called NetworkThrottlingIndex so i edited the value to 10 decimal, rebooted but i didn't see any difference or at least i think it's very low, i had like 0.26 and now 0.23/24. Am i supposed to do more things? Still thanks for your video!!
Slight improvements are better than none, don’t sweat it
When I put the value decimal 10 I press ok… I x out… I go back and it goes to hexadecimal
It’s fine
What do i do if i dont have the Interrupt Moderation Rate in my adapters settings?
Test it either way and see if it works well
I did not have the "interrupt moderation rate" on the list...
any issues skipping this step and applying everything else?
or is there another way?
Just make sure you benchmark if skipping
so i dont have a interupt moderation rate i just have the one above it
That’s ok
can you please do a video on fps stutters :C I did most of ur optimizations and my fps still dips to like 50 sometimes and it sucks it would be a huge help
there are a lot more factors that can do that to your fps, this looks like either an OS issue or hardware (lack of) issue
This was covered by Timecard several years ago btw. Not being a dick in anyway but like you said you've never seen anyone else talk about this but that should be your main credit since he mainly brought attention to this issue 👍
Never heard of him, got it from reading on the topic
feeling dickhead vibes because it is completely unnecessary
Did you just say you notice a 0.05ms difference?
it stacks, in 3 intervals for example would you rather have 120 to 240 to 360 or rather have 44 to 88 to 132. its the overall 3x difference that you can feel
0.08ms?
You claim differences below this are noticeable?
Or did you mean 0.08 seconds
lower interrupt latency allows the pc to work on other things that can help with performance, in this case 3x as fast, the magic isnt necessarily in the singular driver, but the fact the pc can work on others much faster
idk why my adapter only gets 40mbps out of my 1gbps
download tcp optimizer and try windows default button
Just did the registry edit and set it to 10 it made it worse and now I don’t know what my default was
10 is the default, you might mean ffffffff tho
@@khorvietech yeah prob
Hey Khorvie I'm planning on purchasing an Ethernet cable but what would you recommend since there's so many options?
The best ones are usually pretty cheap, could try looking for a cat 8
Anyone knows why the ndis.sys DPC value not updating and set to 0 in LatencyMon ?
Wouldn’t be able to tell you, maybe they’re having issues rn
hi khorvie can u make a seperate video for interrupt moderation setting since i have around 35-40 friends who watch ur video and they are saying that they dont understand ur pinned comment so we will all appreciate if u did it anyways thanks for ur amazing effort!!
i didnt know this until after i posted, but most people may just not have the setting in general as well
hey khorvie, have you heard of hone optimizations? if you have, what are you thoughts on it?
Not very good
hey man..i already had NetworkThrottlingIndex and when i changed ,it always go back to A Hexadecimal..
thats fine
Well, 10 (dec) = A (hex).
Great video! Does this work if you live overseas? (Not in the Us) also do you recommend project lasso?
It should work but it depends on the adapter, not all have it
I found the network throttling index is set to hexadecimal a, can I change it to decimal 10 even doh I haven’t changed the other things in the adapter?
I mean it’s in Spanish and I don’t really know if it’s the correct one it is called: velocidad de obstrucción de la interrupción, and I have like 5 values one of them is media (medium)
You have to apply with with a decimal value of 10 or with a hexadecimal value of 10 ?
Decimal
@@khorvietech so it should say 0x0000000a (10) is it right ?
@@marcksolo4447 yes

Always worth a shot
neither of these options show up under the advanced driver preference for me
May be unsupported, try updating drivers
Mine went from 0.11 to 0.13 sadly
