That's not true. They just said that to cover up the fact that AMC fired Frank Darabount, who used the walkers that ran and climb, and got a different director/showrunner. That's why the walkers changed.

55 humans killed, damn still didn't beat Daniel from Fear but he was in the Salvadoran civil war which was just utter death everywhere in so much that I believe the horsemen himself had trouble keeping up with the casualties

i loved seeing the gradual shift in the way they go about killing them, its obvious at the start they didnt have a strategy, the more years they went through when they realised theres never going to be an end to the virus, they started saving bullets & growing their skill & strength by using melee as their preferred defense

Rick's the best all round character in this universe. Probably the best melee against zombies fighter. Leadership. The ability to switch into hyper lethal mode if it needs to be done to protect his home- even if it means literally being a psychopath. And to top it all off, I think he is actually immune to the zombie virus.

ah the old times when the walkers used to run and climb fences instead of slowly walk,they were more dangerous and scary the fact that they could "kinda run",climb fences and even smash windows with little objects,like they were still kinda human,it was such an interesting concept that was removed,such a pity!

Because that was Frank Darabont’s vision for the show until he was unfortunately fired by AMC.
Because they had some human intelligence left to do so, but now in later seasons they're rotting rapidly and hold little of their former selves anymore.
Jacob Keyes real reason is different directors. I like to think the “fresh” zombies are just that much smarter/stronger bc they haven’t rotted

I wonder how many TOTAL Walker kills on The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and the webisodes are? Then add all the human deaths and plus an estimate of dead bodies on screen. This will kind of give an idea of the casualties we see. (I know we will never know the exact but it would be interesting).
