  • Block starts are the most critical aspect of sprinting technique. Simply put, your start is the basis for how fast you can sprint because it sets up every other phase of your sprint.
    In order to create maximum linear force down the track you need to hit the right positions. In this video Coach Karim will gives some great tips on block set up with demonstrations from Olympian Jeremy Dodson.

    I really really needed this. Setting up the block was just hella confusing for me for some reason. I never felt like I was doing it right. My starts were terrible because I am genetically cursed with just skin for quads. And I could never figure out whether my poor starts were from my lack of quads or poor block setup. I still don't know tbh. 🤯😄

    Should dominant Leg be in front or at the back of block starts

      Low heel recovery. It can be very helpful, especially if you bring your back leg up too high.
