I love my darkwave. I only wish I would have got a 21.25" instead of a 21". But it wasn't in stock at the time. It would be cool if Sunday also made a 21.5" version, since I'm 6ft5in.
Great vid! A few things. The Darkwave comes with Broc bars in 9.75, I believe. I love these bars. Also, Sunday makes the Darkwave frame in 21". I'm 5'11 and own two Darkwaves, one in 21 and one in 21.25. I ride the 21 way more. The only mod I made to the 21 is switching out the Darkwave 28 degree forks for Odyssey R25s. Broc is like 6'1; so it makes sense he'd like the longer forks. I've tried a Mixtape in 21, Pathfinder in 21, Cloud in 21, and Fit WiFi in 20.5. The Darkwave blows them all away.
I’m looking for a Sunday with a wave tube ASAP! I just don’t know which one I had bought the wavelength for extremely dumb cheap and it was new but after I saw your video and the actual chainstay length it is too much for me. I love short chainstay and twitchy steering i just don’t know ! I’m thinking maybe the darkwave I’m dead set on the wave tube models after seeing how seriously nice they are. Looks unbreakable and pretty cool
So no matter the bikes weight, the top tube and chain stay will still affect the bikes wheelbase. So on a bike with a longer top tube, the handlebars are farther away from the bottom bracket. Meaning that a smaller Rider will have to stretch farther to grab a hold of the handlebars than a taller Rider would. So a toler Rider will have adequate leverage to maneuver the bike on this taller top tube. Imagine you are standing on a bike and your arms are extended out all the way so that your elbows are locked, doing anything with that bike it’s going to be very hard since you’re not at a very good leverage point. Weight definitely matters and helps but no matter how late a bike is the size of it will still matter.
9 inches is average ?!?! Sheesh I thought 3 was good
Bro I’m dead 😂😂😂
I was really surprised to see that you only have 7k followers you’re underrated.
Same
Same you need 7 million

The warrantee on the Soundwave seals the deal for me if i had to pick.
EDIT - plus im a bit too short for the 21.25 TT lol

I ended up buying this bike a few weeks ago after seeing this video and wanting to get back into bmx and it was well worth it!
I have a doubt the kink whip in India is $720 every single bike in India is overpriced do you think it’s a good idea to get the king whip
So, why would Sunday offer the lifetime warranty on the Soundwave, but not on the Darkwave, since they are essentially the same bike?
1349 is a good band.
Black Metal 🤘
I stuck on which
Sunday to get..can u help Doug?..
Can you do an early look at the new 2022 sub Rosa lineup the Malum comes in a 22” top tube and I might get it altought I just got the cult devotion
Can you review the 2022 kink gap fc
It comes with Broc bars not super highway great video though
Why would the size matter if the bike weighs less than most bikes with smaller top tubes. Hmmm maybe elaborate on this for me.

@@Dougsterbob yeah thanks for verifying that for me, but that stretch aspect of it wouldn't bother as much because the weight of the bike is less.
Coming from mountain bikes the bigger frame seems better to me even tho I’m 6 foot
WTP said 2022 bikes coming soon
I just don’t understand the frame warranty ordeal. The dark wave and the sound wave are both made from the same 41 chromoly steel.
Is 5'11 too short for the 21.25" toptube?
Look up Dougsterbob size guide
I'm like 5 9ish and I've rode 21s basically my whole time riding bmx, swapping my 20.75 cult frame for a 21 darkwave
I just bought the 2022 subrosa letum. And was wondering if it comes with breaks? or if not, then could i put breaks on the bike?
Yeah! If you bought it brand new from any shop it will come with brakes. I think they have to by law and reflectors haha
This bike is designed only for tall people 😒
I think WTP battleship full bike is the real deal.
I know it was just for reference, but what bars are $90?
Jeeesus I was thinking of some s&m bars but I searched to double check and now a lot of bars are $110 👀 they were $70 last time I bought bars haha
@@Dougsterbob same 😂 I paid $70 for chrome Primo Rebars. I wonder what they cost now
yoo
Who care just get a bike you like and size
