Whenever I listen to these podcasts, I'm reminded that intellectuals are a different breed of human: The Portal (Eric Weinstein) Making Sense (Sam Harris) The Drive (Peter Attia) EconTalk (Russ Roberts) Conversations With Tyler Cown Mindscape (Sean Carroll) Artificial Intelligence (Lex Fridman) Knowledge Project (Shane Parrish)
Renovatio - great brain food. Discusses Islam, History, Language, Religion with a heavy side order of classical philosophy Thanks for your videos and congrats on your PhD - a huge accomplishment!
My podcast recommendations: the tim ferris show, ear hustle, gimlet startup, how i built this (too!), the smart passive income, data skeptic, tribe of mentors and anything to do with business, science and tech (and elon musk of course lol)
I looovvveee podcasts! Especially those you actually learn something new from like Ted Daily and Ted radiohour. These are some of my favs: the naked scientist , intelligence squared , think again- a big think podcast , the daily , rough translation, invisibilia, radiolab , waking up with sam harris , worldservice bbc documentary podcast, the eLife podcast , couples therapy with Candice and Casey.
Podcasts are definitely the way of the future. UA-cam and podcasts have taken over traditional media. Here are some of my favourites. *News/Race/Tech* Revisionist History This American Life Embedded RadioLab More Perfect Reply All Code Switch Invisibilia Rough Translation *True Crime* Criminal My Favourite Murder Serial Dear John S Town Finding Cleo
My podcast recommendations are People fixing the world sincerely, x ( it’s similar to ted talks) reasons to be cheerful with ed miliband and geoff lloyd The inquiry by the BBC & podcast radio hour Hope you enjoy listening 👍
Not so much “intellectual” as “millennial” I’m a millennial myself, just, but why would you want to listen to young podcasters about ‘life’ when they can’t possibly have the life experience. Intellectualism indicates wisdom which comes from life-experience.
Have you ever heard an athiesm podcast? i wanna be open-minded to new ideas and think listening to an athiest perspective is a great way to go. Great video btw!
Yeah I've resulted to watching some athiest youtubers and advocates like Cosmicskeptic, Matt Dillahunty and Richard Dawkins, definitely recommend them (even though they do have some strong views xD). Being a heavy advocate of science, i'm finding it hard to understand why I actually believe in religion like is it just cause thats how i was raised? If i was born into a family of a different religion and i believe that, would i be wrong? What if i am believing in the wrong religion or what if all religions are wrong and God doesn't actually exist? It's just got me to wondering why i don't apply the same scepticism and rational thinking i use in science to my religious belief. Keeping an open mind can lead you to some really interesting views if you look into them properly and try to understand where they are coming from with their POV
