More Expression with AFTERTOUCH, '5 Min. in Depth'

AFTERTOUCH makes it possible to control the sound after striking a tone, typically with a vibrato type modulation effect. AFTERTOUCH expands the musical expression. To create and control a beautiful vibrato, it is important to understand the function of channels aftertouch in MIDI keyboards.

Thank you for the explanation, it's so useful. Yes, all keyboards (even MIDI controllers) with aftertouch are damn expensive because they need more time for research and difficult to program.

ASM hydrasynth is way cheaper than others for sure I even tried the minikeys version it was impressive and cheap the full size keys are better of course.

@@williamshaneblyth Yeah. There are lots of 25 keys MIDI controller (including an AKAI Mini if I'm not wrong) that has aftertouch (pressure-sensitive). It was cheaper. I use aftertouch only for synth solo rather than acoustic instruments. So it's no problem for me.

and what about loudness of note as separate feature apart of aftertouch, is it sensitive to power of touch only at first hit or it can change volume when you hold it and then release note slightly and then push again to limit? thanks
