A really helpful video. Venturing into areas of technology that you don't understand is often daunting and overwhelming but you did a great job in just 5 minutes. Thank you.
Thank you for the explanation, it's so useful. Yes, all keyboards (even MIDI controllers) with aftertouch are damn expensive because they need more time for research and difficult to program.
ASM hydrasynth is way cheaper than others for sure I even tried the minikeys version it was impressive and cheap the full size keys are better of course.
@@williamshaneblyth Yeah. There are lots of 25 keys MIDI controller (including an AKAI Mini if I'm not wrong) that has aftertouch (pressure-sensitive). It was cheaper. I use aftertouch only for synth solo rather than acoustic instruments. So it's no problem for me.
This is the receiver of the Sennheiser Wireless digital, a very useful and easy to use helper. www.thomann.de/de/sennheiser_xsw_d_instrument_base_set.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQiAyracBhDoARIsACGFcS6lURijS2T8RekXndMOWPl3x-y40ZwJoPgHiqtSUT5rmAH3ZC6R1t4aAnZDEALw_wcB?offid=1&affid=799
Thank you for this explanation. Is it correct to say that this aftertouch feature is more prominent to specific instrument (ie guitar, etc) but less in others such as piano?
thank you very much for video. so non polyphonic aftertouch will affect midi event on all played notes despite i will use it on only one note? and what about loudness of note as separate feature apart of aftertouch, is it sensitive to power of touch only at first hit or it can change volume when you hold it and then release note slightly and then push again to limit? thanks
Yes, this is possible, but it depends on sound programming. There is no preset sound offering this feature, because it would be very difficult to control. I generally think, it is easier to control using a foot pedal like FC-7: www.thomann.de/gb/yamaha_fc7.htm?offid=1&affid=799
Just wondering if it's possible in 2022 to play do re mi fa so without being copyright claimed. Sorry - your scale practice infringes on Groovey Kind of Love.
My aim is just to learn to play by hear. What do I need? A digital piano? midi controller? Weighted keys? Semi weighted keys? Keyboard? 88 keys? Hans Zimmer inspires me, I just want to play his music. Please suggest a model 🙏 Thanks & regards
