- Another amazing Tool song I always meant to learn (originally on bass) and finally did on guitar lol. The song is supposed to be about the birth of Maynard's son and the difficult relationship with his dad.
The guitar is on extremely low gain (5% on my rectifier sim) with delay and a slight flanger. The tab is not 100% accurate (www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/tool-..., and I tried to point out where triplets are not played. In some live recordings, you can see Adam switching to the neck pickup to get a clean sound (frist time I saw him using the neck pup), and playing octaves during the second solo.
Too fast? Just slow down the playback speed to 0.75, 0.5 or 0.25!

When Aenima released I thought this song was about Hydrogen (H) but soon after learned it's true meaning. Even still I when I hear it I imagine the life journey of a Hydrogen atom haha. Excellent work, keep it up!

Some well interesting riffs and tunings in that album.
Like standard tuning with drop B low string etc.

area ll those palm muted ??? i just got back into guitar and i see the little half closed squares at the bottom but they used to write pm before palm muted stuff but he looks kinda like hes palm muting and i dont know what those shalf squares at the bottom mean

This song meant a lot to me when this album came out. At the time I was dating a women who was abused by her stepfather. She heard this song for the first time, and started crying. Ever since then, when I hear this song, I wonder how she is these days. The bastard Stepfather died alone in a hospital bed with flesh eating disease.
