don't they make this noise when they need the clutch to be adjusted? Is this not adjustable? Friend of mine had the exact same noise as yours did and all he did was back off those spring screws around it and spins like butter again. The clutch was engaging when the PTO was disengaged and dragging so a slight adjustment fixed it. Try it if you still have the old one!
I got a scag 48inch its doing same thing tough to turn like its griding.when i try engage blade engine bogs dwn and will quit.think its because pto clutch seized up thks
I am waiting on my new Ikon XL 42 to be delivered to my house,I gave ‘em over 4 grand in cash to get it,they ordered it from the factory, what state do ya live in?
I spy a sliver deck john deere my dad bought one of those new in 96 when he first was getting into mowing but the wheels where steel. He also had a john Deere yellow deck walkbehind and john deere weedeater that still starts first pull today that I use
Even if it was under warranty, what are you gonna do ? Take your mower to the repair shop and let him have it for a couple weeks while you twiddle your thumbs. Warranties are for people who don’t own tools !
Nice job! Ain't it fun working without a helper! I think ur supposed to use blue Locktite on bolt. Anyway after watching ur video I feel confident in changing mine on MX5060. Gonna get an Extreme clutch.
Just got a Exmark Lazer Z for a killer deal but Mine is leaking oil from the PTO clutch hoping it’s just the seal from the crank shaft or something what do you think
Finally, someone who works like I do. Keeping it real, great video.

My pro decided to stop working today. It’s clicking when I engage. Do you think the clutch is bad?

Why is my fly wheel turning when I try to remove bolt from PTO clutch. Toro zmaster 74923
because it is attached. Why I use an impact. If not you need someone to hold the fly wheel nut whilst you remove the pto bolt.
@@exterminator1 thanks
@@christopherholland9498 Mine was doing the same thing, so I broke out the impact and it worked perfect.
@@pezatsea Yea impact worked great. I believe I saved 500 or more doing it myself
