Ppl love to quote the scripture that says that women should submit to their husbands. They never read the next verse that says men should treat their wives like God treats the church. Both sides should show respect and loyalty. Marriage is not just one sided.

She is wise. I believe around the 13 minute mark, what she was expressing was that men are expected to fend for themselves and look out for dangers and that in itself is a gift from God. That said, I believe that men understand they would be held accountable or that they are the first line of defence in a family if there's a robbery or have to pay the consequences therefore they naturally want to caution the family decisions. Women who are demure are attractive.

    • @lindafannin-watts
      @lindafannin-watts Рік тому +1

I really don't understand why demure would be a choice. Women should be respectful, but so should men. Both can be reserved. Neither has to act shy. She meant submit. Submission doesn't have to include bowing down. The problem with men looking for a submissive wife is what happens if you have children and you die? What is she remarries? Will she not be submissive to that husband. What if his decisions involve not properly caring for or abusing your children. Will she submit and allow it?

    • @vicferrmat4492

@@lindafannin-watts What I think people are talking about is manners. I think some men want women to be socially polite, knowing how to hold and express an opinion or a point of view without generating a "war" with your partner. This calls for subtle behaviour from both sides, we can't just say the woman has to be submissive. That word is crude and aggressive because if someone is told to be submissive, it is an order from one who is up on high to one who is lower. In this day and age things will get complicated if women must be inferior to a man. Some women are highly intelligent the same as some men. What do we say next, women should not be educated? Do you see where all this is going?
I think what we should all learn is manners, how to be graceful and diplomatic socially and clearly being demure embodies a kind of subtle graceful behaviour which would move our society away from the rougher ghetto types we now have.

@@vicferrmat4492 I understand what you are stating. Unfortunately that is not what is being promoted on many channels. I am not saying Mark is promoting submission by women, but many men are. Some of these same men have fathered children they do not support. I just want our people to realize it's very dangerous to submit to anyone. Cults are led by men reading the Bible. Look at all the hundreds of people that starved themselves and their children to death in Kenya. Following a so called man of God. Did some of those include families where the wife submitted to the husband's decision?
Our family destruction was engineered. Most women are respectful. The media promote those women and men that are not as role models for our youth. That is where our problem lies.

The title should be that men should come to Africa for love because the women in Africa are raised right. She's explaining Biblical truth and natural law regarding how men and women should be, and the fact that men and women are different, and our differences should be embraced and appreciated for their complementary qualities as God ordained it to be. In Catholic terms, we say that men and women are equal in dignity but different in vocation. Sadly, Western culture has lost a sense of these wholesome values that are so essential to good family life and the health of a society. Men are to be the head of the household and the decision-makers, women the heart of the home and nurturing a good home life for the children. She's a beautiful woman with good values. Thank you both for a good & interesting discussion. Glory to Jesus Christ!

First of all are you referencing the King James VERSION of the Bible? Or other Bibles based on the King James VERSION. They added VERSION to the name for a reason. There were many versions that European Kings created. The King James version stuck because that was the version used when they started to conquer other countries.
A true leader listens to the advice of those being led. It is the responsibility of those being led to know when the leader does not deserve to be followed. When you submit, you abdicate your responsibility not follow poor leadership.

How did her father raise them when her mother passed. I'm in my 60's raised by two parents from the country (rural area) in the US. My parents raised their children to be strong. They did not raise their daughters to submit to men, or their sons to submit to women. My parents worked as a team. My father did not expect submission. He was strong enough to stand on his own strength. My parents saw us all as intelligent and expected us all to behave that way. We were raised to believe that a husband and wife to work as partners. As far as some of the other things she stated about the women's behavior. I have worked in the Information Technology field for over 30 years. Over ninety percent of that time, I was the only women on the team. I worked with men of different races, from different countries. Men can gossip, be just a petty, whine about the slightest issue, create as much nonsense and drama as women. I've observed it in my over 30 years of work. I, the woman, has been the voice of reason on many occasions. The idea that women are the ones causing the most drama is absolutely a LIE. It's on both sides. There were just as many problems while working in an all-male environment as with working with other women, and sometimes more. If men were so rational and wise the world wouldn't be in the condition that it's in. After all its led by men. There is a balance. God gave both genders the ability to reason and intelligence for a reason. We are meant to provide balance to each other in the areas where we are different. Not for one side to submit to the decisions of the other. Just like there are women that are foolish and who's decisions can negatively impact the family, there are men that are foolish who's decisions can negative impact the family.

@@MPFXT You do not know if she is Godly. Even ministers that turn out to be pedophiles quite Bible verses. Just because she thinks (says) wives should submit to their husbands you say she's Godly when you know nothing about her. 😂
You don't even know if she was speaking of her free will since her husband was standing by off camera. You don't know what truly goes on in their home behind closed doors.
But let's get to this Bible you are quoting. Please tell me what VERSION that is. And I stress the word VERSION. Are you translating from the original non-English text? Are you using a Bible that did not have any of the books removed? Are you using your discernment when translating and understanding, or are you just accepting what Europeans told you the passage meant?
Do you believe in "Slave obey your master"? Should we have remained slaves and just obeyed like they told us on the plantation?
There are many books in the Bible. There were also books removed by European Kings that created their version of the Bible, took it around the world and dictated the meaning to people. And here we are hundreds of years later quoting the same book with the same interpretations.
This is not a Godly word. I know of many husbands that have taken diseases back to their devoted wives. I know of many husbands that have beat and tortured their devoted wives, and their children. I know of many husbands that have squandered money on alcohol, prostitutes, and other foolish things and didn't provide the essentials of day to day life for his wife and children.
No one should blindly follow anyone. God gave men and women equal brain capacity for a reason. A wife is equally responsible for her children. She is responsible for being able to discern if that husband is fit to lead. God loves his children. He doesn't doom them to submit and be led by a fool. A man isn't fit to lead a family just because he is a man.
