I have a 2024 chevy 3500 with the 6.6l gas. I have pulled 18000lbs with mine it did really good. I even went over the mountain with that load I live in northern pa.
With the newer 8 and 10 speed transmissions. And the gassers hitting higher torque at lower rpm’s than older engines…. It’s been a game changer and really closes the gap on diesels. Sure, they still have way more power. But is all that power actually needed? Fuel mileage isn’t any better and cost you so much more up front to purchase. Let alone if you happen to need repairs.
I have the 2500 version of your truck and live near you over on Clayton. Is there a general rule that you use as to when or what gear to “lockout”? Also, how do you do that? TYIA
I don't condone it.... I'm sure you do something with your right hand while you drive with your left. If you're a 10 & 2 kind of person while towing kudos.
I've had plenty of them. They are great if you need them. The transmissions behind these gassers make them excellent town machines for the weekend warriors like myself.

I love my 8.1 GMC, but that's more load than I'll try to tow. Impressive.
If you like it, that's all that matters !
I have the 6.6 gas in my 3500 drw. I tow daily 8k lb trailer with 4k lb water tank in the bed. 57k miles on it, and so far, it's been flawless.
That's nothing you're just getting started.Wait till you get about six hundred thousand
Your channel name definitely catches your attention 👍😂
Thanks for video and towing review! Safe travels
4:23 Look at the size of that dent!

No acceleration runs?
Does the truck hunt gears climbing hills.
Put you some Timberins on it.
Sanford nc here🙌🙌
I like the 6.6. Good engine. The ole 400 small block is what it is.
How so? It's absolutely nothing the same as the "ole 400" lol besides having the same amount of cylinders
How many inches of squat did you have?

Filming while driving is stupid. Filming while towing is even stupider.
Stupider? Is that a word?

Better report him. Call the cops right now.

Just get diesel

If you're towing 16k or less, I wouldn't even consider a diesel.
Why, because you said so?
@@Icutmetal yes
@Icutmetal because he likes wasting money to compensate for short comings.
