@DrSanto91 We never actually get to see Malik find out Dark Bakura's true identity or that he had the Eye. He did know from their first meeting that he wanted to gather the Items to open the door to Hell, so he knew he was evil, he just didn't care because he was using him to kill Yugi and then Dark Malik. After that, he like everyone else had no reason to believe that Dark Bakura was a threat anymore because Dark Malik had taken the Ring after banishing him to Hell.

The amount of sass contained in Yami Bakura's entire character is arguably one of the best parts of the show, man- Also I love how Yami Marik wasn't even irritated with them arguing, he was just lol'ing like that one character in a TV show watching two divorcees argue over whose fault it was the marriage failed. (Or more importantly, how and why one took the dog.)
I love his character, i have a soft spot for him. Bakura needs more love man. I wan't his cards to be retrained, I want him to get a new movie with him as a main antagonist. I just miss my man. He's def in there as one of my all time fav antagonists. I just love his whole character. Millenium Rings sick too, plus that hair, hot damn.

I honestly kind of wish Bakura actually pulled out the W here. I liked the awkward friendship-alliance he and Marik had, and I wonder how they would have continued things after this and what their plan would have been.

I have come full circle and still find entertainment in these two working together and wished there were more moments of this duo, especially not in Yami form. For being possessed by an evil entity, Bakura seems to work peacefully well with Marick. I bet their original selves would've actually been good friends. P.s here's to the past me who watched this and didn't know at the time these were the main villians. Legit thought they were childhood friends who aren't friends anymore but have to work together to defeat the big bad, evetually becoming friends again.

I've just noticed that the two pieces of Yami Bakura's hair sticking out are kind of posed like the bat wing headdress of Devil-Man. To this day I have no idea why Bakura threw away Ra. While it had no attack points, it was summoned in defense with 3450 DEF. Bakura could have easily used it as a stall wall while setting up Destiny Board and Yami Marik would not have been able to stop him
I more or less stopped watching after the waking the dragons arc so I probably missed something, but I don't think Bakura had any relevant wins throughout the anime. None that I can remember/know about. Like, he beat Bonez (hurrah? ) and his friends, but otherwise? I know he has a duel or two in the final season that I assume he loses, he loses to yugi two seasons in a row, lost to Yami Marik, his battle plan seems to be taking a bucket load of damage to get monsters in the grave in a format with only 4000 life points... Pretty sure he's just a really bad duelist, lol I dunno. I remember as a kid just generally being very unimpressed with Bakura. Every time I saw him appear and duel, he lost. I know they set him up for the final season, but until that last season he was just kinda there to be weird and sometimes a small inconvenience to yugi and friends.

His strength is in tabletop RPG-type games which have an entirely different set of rules and style of gameplay. In other words, he's new to this game, and imo he does fairly well for an ameteur. If Yami Yugi hadn't drawn the god card (call it luck, plot armor, power of the Millennium Puzzle) in their Battle City duel at the last possible second, he would have lost.
Simple: he never even got it in the manga, so the anime needed a reason to send it to the graveyard for Marik to summon it back. In the manga, Bakura played a card that forced Marik to send Ra from his deck to the graveyard, but the anime instead made him add it to his hand and summoned it to, I guess, make Marik seem more intimidating by having him both counter Ra and buffing him with even more Lifepoints.
Personally, I’m surprised neither him nor Ishizu were informed about him being Zorc even near the end. They seemed utterly unaware of who he was or what the great evil was. They were only told about who the pharaoh was, not that Yami Bakura was his ultimate nemesis

They should make a Yugioh movie where Yami Marik returns. Here’s what should happen in the film, Yami Marik escapes from the shadow realm. First he possesses Odion to regain his strength and sends him to the shadow realm. That way Odion wouldn’t be able to contain him again. He then possesses Marik and takes over his body and locks Marik away in his mind. Yami Marik then searches for an ancient magical item. Once he finds it, he uses it's magic to separate himself from Marik, (separate as in into two separate bodies to be more specific). Yami Marik then sends Marik to the shadow realm. Now with a Flesh and Blood body of his own Yami Marik searches for Yugi to challenge him to a duel.
Thing is the pharaoh is the source of Yamin marik hatred/ existence. Atem being gone gives Yami marik no reason to exist anymore. How would he get to odion in the first place. He can't possess really possess marik since marik has no hatred to regular yugi. Therefore marik would be able to resist ( Joey broke mind control)

For 1 he his a spit personality born within marik not a soul from a foreign source like atem and zorc. 2 it would defeat the purpose of marik character development to no longer blame atem for his suffering as that is where his evil side gets its motivation from. Odion has resisted yami marik shadow powers as seen in the duel against atem which again I don't see how yami marik could possess him so easily out of nowhere. I'm a marik fan too. But rather marik and odion character not get shafted for 1 character whose motivations are not very applicable to post duel monsters and will just take another L from yugi.
Man this duel was so freaking good! I just wish Atem showed up during the duel and not after when it was over. Would've been interesting to see Yugi and Atem debating who to root for.

For 1 he his a spit personality born within marik not a soul from a foreign source like atem and zorc.
2 it would defeat the purpose of marik character development to no longer blame atem for his suffering as that is where his evil side gets its motivation from.
Odion has resisted yami marik shadow powers as seen in the duel against atem which again I don't see how yami marik could possess him so easily out of nowhere.
I'm a marik fan too. But rather marik and odion character not get shafted for 1 character whose motivations are not very applicable to post duel monsters and will just take another L from yugi.
What if Yami Bakura knew more of Ra’s potential than the normal marik did?

Man this duel was so freaking good! I just wish Atem showed up during the duel and not after when it was over. Would've been interesting to see Yugi and Atem debating who to root for.
