My 5 plys cpmplaints about the 2024 streetglide are : #1 the suspension still rode hard as hell so put new larger seat and air shocks on the bike. Rides like a dream. #2. Exhaust sounded like a swing machine. Changed exhause, now sounds loader and like a real harley. #3 Handle bars too low, changed to 20 in ape hangers now hand dont get cramps and numb. #4 Radio could not be heard at 60 mile/hr, put 400 watt amp and 250 wat speakers from volunteer audio in the pike.plug and play amp.#5 windshield to low you get head buffeting. Went to a 10in and eliminated the buffeting. What a change in the ride gotta love it.
Great vid guys, love the hangar setting. Some solid gripes. 2. Tim’s Stereo sells a CarPlay adapter for $100. Plug and play to override headset. 3. Stock seat was nice, crazy ik. At 6’4”, had to get the HD Tallboy seat. It put me up and back a little. Longer rides feel good on it. When buying a Harley, wish I was a ft shorter. Haha 4. The big wheel fad is fading.
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the great feedback. I think Ray has that adapter from Tim now. I definitely know you always need a different seat at 6'4"! But most of us would gladly buy a new seat for every bike to be 6'4"! 😆😂 Yes, i agree with the big wheel bike, though I wouldn't mind having one as a second or 3rd bike! They do look sweet with air suspension, but for riding, which is #1 for me, I would have to stay with 19" or 21".
New subscriber, I like your content, so thank you for what you do. For me, my biggest negative out of the gate is the windshield -- that dang worthless windscreen that comes on the bike -- yes, it looks way cool, but a 12" Klock has already been ordered and something better should have been the OEM part. On 12/31/24 (last day of the year) I traded a '22 RG Special and a 23 RG ST and got a pretty great deal from my Dealer on a new '24 CVO RG ST. I understand your comments about the suspension (I've had to put Legends on many previous bikes) and I am grateful I can have this bike properly set to my weight w/o having to buy aftermarket, in fact I am going to the Dealer this afternoon to have done. And, on mine I do hate the mini floorboards, they will be replaced soon too. Otherwise, very very happy w/ the handling, engine performance, and comfort (although I prob will get a new extended reach seat.)
#1 ~ PRICE #2 ~ Quality of parts on a $32k bike (base price) It’s a damn shame you have to swap out the Windscreen, seat and shocks IMMEDIATELY, because these items suck balls!!
I wish they would partner with aftermarket. Companies to produce the stock windshield seat and upgraded shocks. Tho, the suspension was pretty good this year compared to my previous bike.
I love the light they look Awesome! I like these aftermarket lights too! But I like the stock lights so much i don't know if I could justify changing them!
