Thank you for your "How to" series! Since I have a couple of carbon tubes, you inspired me to build an inverted roller. I understand that the 90cm is a bit underpowered(to your partner's needs), but I would like to know what setup (type of rubber & shaft size - width & length) you have on the 110cm one. I'm in QLD, targeting reef species & mid-sized pelagics.
Mi Hate, hit them hard! for a 110 I use a 125 7mm carbon steel shaft, or 7.5mm if you wanna use stainless. 3x pairs of Small ID 16mm rubbers will give you plenty of punch. if you wanna go krazy use 20mm small ID for the primary rubbers (only the 1st pair). see if you can source SigalSub small ID rubber
@@dustsnow666 Thanks for your reply! I realised that some of the answers I was looking for you already mentioned in another video's comments, but this above is more specific. I ordered a Sigalsub Stainless 130cm / 7.5mm double flopper shaft, 1 pair of Sigal reactive evo at 19mm and 2 pairs of Sigal extreme at 14.5mm. I'll work out the total length of the gun when everything is in place.
@@dustsnow666 Have you done any ballasting work on this gun? I'm considering using auto wheel weights inside the tube and adjusting it's balance this way.
Good presentation! Just one comment. I think the rope is wrongly winded in your real. It should be unwinding from the top of it, close to the speargun body, not from the bottom.
@@orcaazur06 hey mate, thank you for the question. Yes, it’s on purpose. I like free spooling reels to be quite tight, so I rig them to feed in a more direct line, so they “unlock” quick and easy. I had a few Hermes Reels get stuck on me
Do you load the band onto the first fin (in the middle of the shaft) only and never the back 2 fins?

Thank you, yes I know, but it works better this way to load both sets of rubbers at the bottom. you have more space
Ciao mi potresti far vedere come fai i giri di sagola, per bloccare l'asta alla testata grazie
