Given in three kingdoms mythology Lu Bu is the greatest warrior ever, it's fitting that he's the hardest boss. Also fitting that Dong Zhuo is hated by everyone.
Can’t believe they made the dude from records of ragnarok into a real person
Dong Zhuo is my 2nd favourite behind lu bu lol
Bro we talking bosses the tigers loyal subjects was the hardest 😂😂😂
The three tiger dudes in that sub-misson is the hardest encounter in the game.
Big Dong
Lu Bu Is Definitely A True Boss . He Felt Like A Wall At First But As you play him more & more you realize he’s beatable as long as you get good . I actually found it easier to beat him by myself no reinforcements or anything just me
63 attemps and 4 hours and i beat him and my meat fr
Lu Bu is so predictable. Feel crazy when you first meet him. But after a few more times, just a piece of cake.
Lu Bu is 100% easier without Reinforcements feeding him Spirit.
A tip for anyone that might be stuck on Zhang Rang unless it was patched, if you leave 1 clone alive, he will not re-summon the rest.
He’s even more unbearable in ng+ lol
if anybody’s stuck try spamming beckoning pine, it literally melts that boss. i’m sure they’ll patch it to be not so busted actually so enjoy it for now lol!
or you can just use the green spell that give you lifesteal, every fatal strike should heal half of your health bar
He's one of the easiest fights in the game.
@@JohnDoe-pu5gk oh hell naw
Oh wow! My list couldn't be more different. In fact my easiest 4 bosses are in your top 10. Goes to show you just how drastically different experiences are based on playstyle and build
I’m so glad you mentioned the gank squad, that was absolutely brutal
Tiger’s Loyal Subjects are just cheap. I fought them head on like a madman instead of cheesing them with earth spikes or ground freeze. I have PTSD now 😅
@@_Paul_N yeah me too, I just waited for red attacks and parried what I could
Bro that level is and was never hard.. people who can't get good got the AI nerfed lmfao 😅😅
Am I the only one who used the platform to cheese them?
@@mclovin7282 I tried, didn’t work well
Having just beaten the game today, while it's fresh in my mind, Aoye, Zhang Rang and the 2v1 fights were what had me pulling out my hair the most and Dong Zhou did force me to actually call in more reinforcements than the game assigns you. Outside of that I found Liu bei surprisingly easy and as tough as they were, I enjoyed fighting Lu Bu, Zhang Liao and the blindfolded youth the most.
You don't have to start a whole new file to try a different build. You can respec in the hidden village for free.
You know it's a good day when Sunburned Albino drops a boss ranking video
That relief when you’re stuck on public transport and a series you love watching uploads its next ep, love these easiest to hardest, great vid
Thank you for the blocking deflect tip. You’re a godsend Albino
Sweet video dude, commentary on point as always
I like that your gank squad footage is the same place I got into a prolonged stick and move battle. Lu Bu (non-cantaur) almost broke me.
"Looks like Medusa got a rack job" got me dead lmfao
I want you to know how much I was looking forward to this.
It was a lot.
Yooooo been waiting for this!
Aoye one-shots you with his red critical-attacks in NG+ no matter how good your level or armor is. This is insane. Also he's the last boss coming after a wave of enemies/bosses in the last side mission. This was harder than Lu Bu 1st phase lol. However even the hardest bosses doesn't make this game difficult. In fact, this game is very easy comparing to Nioh and Nioh 2. Also I miss the deepness of Nioh 2. And the Kodamas! Also I cannot stress enough that there is ONE very op weapon art: the Guding Blade. I mean wtf. After having this Blade I ran through the whole game and now NG+.
Don't you get bored cheesing the game with that one weapon? I heard about it being the best but when I saw it just had an OP martial art I was like no thanks. The combat is already shallow enough but still fun.
Aoye isn't the final boss in the final side mission, it is actually that tiger boss (Sun Jiang or something)
Can’t disagree more I’ve platinumed both niohs but can’t get past lu bu this is the hardest
@@burntgrahamcracker2866 Elden Ring is harder than this game
@@jackbernard484 I disagree as I’ve yet to beat this game
Lu Bu was the most challenging yet fun experience I had in fighting bosses for a while. As a three kingdoms avid fan, I always felt unsatisfied fighting Lu Bu in Dynasty Warriors franchise. Granted, in chaos difficulty, he's pretty hard to defeat. But in Wo Long, I can finally understand why he's been named the greatest warrior in the three kingdom era. I got rinsed +10 times, but it felt fun and rewarding 1st time I beat him.
Like any boss in this game is real hard for me in the first experience. Made me to fight them a lot, get used to their patterns and punish timely. Sometime I came really frustrated but overall it’s great
I managed to beat the 3v1 on my first try. I did a earth build for them. Was definitely hard still since I had no health replenishes left and I barely had health left at the end.
I beat Lu bu last night and it was a relief but it didn't get much easier but I kept going mainly just because I got a huge morale boost for myself😅 after I beat him😂
You forgot to rank Sun Jian, the giant tiger boss
Yea, and he was pretty hard at final side mission.
My favorite fight in the game
That was like the hardest fight in the game
finally, was waiting for this
The ice mine spell trivialises Lu Bu 1 by deleting his fire arrows and turning off the fire for every melee attack, which seems to be most of his damage. Honestly many bosses can be hard-countered if the element they're weak to has some sort of lingering floor effect spell because it will erase their magic constantly
I actually found a fantastic cheese for the gank fight, I jumped up in the platform that the guy with the glaive has and any time they tried to jump up they got wack-a-mole'd back down
The final fight with Aoye was a real wall for me - every bit as hard as the first one, but with no option to build Fortitude. Also had trouble with the lightning bosses (no metal in the build) but they became manageable once I started keeping a lightning resistance setup handy. But my top 2 would be Lu Bu and Zhang Liang - both had me throwing my controller for hours.
Lui bei and zhang Liao along with 1st Lu bu and dong zhou I feel are so fun
Also using a reinforcement is mostly recommended, unless you horde a lot of cup of cordiality if you level up your Allie to lvl 10 you get the full set of gear that they use
I absolut agree to this top, you said almost all of my thoughs from the game.
Hardest boss in my opinion was the Sun Jian in the Chapter 7 Battlefield side quest. Don't remember the name of it, but you fight him in the same area you originally have to fight Aoye. You also gotta fight Aoye in the same quest. Shit was super tough, especially cause you basically gotta perfect each wave and boss to keep your morale up.
Dang I gotta wait to watch this. Haven't beaten it yet
LuBu #1 for sure! That fight was crazy
very few bosses in the game (so far) have made me take more then 2 tries. Lu Bu was mostly a problem with my gear since I had really bad RNG and all my gear was base level so he basically 2-hit me with his heavies and his attacks had weird timings for me. the three way from hell that had me screaming obscenities for 6 hours straight and it took twice as many tries as Lu Bu. I would separate one from the flock, get him red and as soon as he gets knocked his friends jump right between us out of nowhere to stand in the way and block to keep me from getting the fatal strike.
Is it just me or did he forget to mention Sun Jian monster form?
Saw the 3v1 gank wasn’t on the list and really thought it should have been. Once I saw there was an honorable mention I was like it HAS to be the 3v1. I didn’t do any side missions my first play through so my first encounter with this fight was in NG+. Pretty sure it took me like two hours to do this. Even had to use some dragon cure powders…so insane.
i appreciate the Kingdom hearts stuff you sprinkled in there
Lu Bu has always been my biggest obstacle in the three kingdoms. I enjoyed his fight. I knew they would do him good
Gank Squad was definitely the hardest fight in the game. I also agree with Lu Bu being #1. I'd probably move Liu Bei up and Big Dong down personally. I one shot Dong and then had the game crash during the subsequent cutscenes and then one shot him again so he must have just been very weak to my personal build (fire/earth).
Is there any chance you would play Stranger of Paradise? Final Fantasy Souls-like from Team Ninja that was made between Wo Long and Nioh 2? Love this game and love your videos, so I wonder what the chances are.
Nice list, I agree with the placement
“we’re gonna be pronouncing every name wrong.”
yet continues to pronounce most of them pretty good lol
I was really impressed tbh, especially since pinyin isn’t exactly self-explanatory
He pronounced some of them okay, but the pronoun game is slightly better here, than in some other videos that involves ppl having to pronounce Chinese names
Really I thought it was pretty bad but I guess I’ve heard worse
I really liked the lubu fight despite its difficulty, felt fair but just kept dying to those quick fire hits... so important to stop him from igniting
I'm about 7 bosses into this game and I had no clue you could block until you mentioned it.
So far aoye is the hardest boss for me, dude took me like 30 tries, lu bu took me 5. I think aoye is a strong contender for most obnoxious since you can't see what he's doing around all that hair.
You gotta admit, its interesting how different people will struggle on different bosses because of their playstyle.
I agree Lu Bu is the hardest boss. Up to him I was crushing it with a Staff+Toxin build. Eventually I switched to a Hammer+Earth build for Lu Bu and destroyed him on that attempt. And did not die to any boss from that point forward. I actually farmed the gank squad for the heavy armor set XD.
Wanna talk about Dong Zhou's instakill move where his combo finisher hits you 5 times for some reason? Kinda like Elemer/Bell bearing hunter from Elden Ring but it does 100% of your health...
I like how you left out Sun Jian LOL
You actually can deflect Lu Bus Horse when its running around.
Remember this motto “If it has a attack, it can be deflected”
Lu bu was definitely the coolest fight in the game, he wasn’t that hard tbh. Took three tries to beat him for me. I think the freaky tentacle cow was the hardest boss so far, but I’ve only just beat Dong Zhou so im still looking forward to a few more
There's a handful of tough fights after Dong Zhuo for sure. I can think of about 5 that are pretty tough.
Lubu is also the only boss i actually have fun with after getting the stats and learning his patterns its like being in a movie 😂❤️
I think you might’ve missed one. There’s a boss that appears at the end of the boss rush trial that I’m pretty sure only appears there.
He did indeed miss Sun Jian, but it's not exclusive to that boss rush mission.
This guy: big boss = ez boss
Darkeater Midir: Are you sure about that?
LUBU is the 1# most difficult boss that I took down. If you ever met LUBU either Wo Long or Dynasty Warriors you know he is no joke.
No mention of the boss rush side mission that tiger/man thing at the end is kicking my ass 😢
Where's the white tiger demon boss?
That triple fight is the only time I said, "I need a F'ing break. I'll do this crap tomorrow."
3:47 There is actually a second ballista you can shoot at him, so you don't even need to fight him at all.
interesting how you ranked these- i had a WAY easier time with the boar fight, first tried it but the ape boss had me slamming my head into a wall
Oh wow, just finished this game today
Also obligatory Nioh 2 > Wo long
W opinion
Oh I agree but it did scratch the itch until nioh 3
Nioh 2 is harder but this game was more fun for me
I love how everyone says Cow Cow to Ciao Ciao. You are not the first one but it’s crack me up every time😂
Aoye’s tentacle’s can be a disadvantage to him if you use your spirit beast thingy, and watch him take damage from him hitting the spikes
Dude, I’m so glad your number one hardest boss was the one I was stuck on when I saw this; made me feel not so stupid. And I am stupid. And fat.
I 100% agree with your top 3. Lu Bu’s fucking horse killed me 3 or 4 times. I’d be backing up to heal while he was on the ground and out of nowhere that 4-legged shit would clip me before I got the heal off.
Lu Bu was such a fun fight, when I killed him, I immediately wished I died on purpose so I could fight him again, even just watching this makes me wanna repeat the level
They nerfed the gank squad with the latest update. If only they'd done it before I beat em. It would've saved me countless tries, and about 3 hours of my life
1:47 jumping suffices well too
How didn’t you mention the 3v1? The tigers loyalist or whatever it’s called.
Wo Long is amazing, and I think I even prefer the combat over the Nioh Games. The thing is, even when a boss kicks my butt repeatedly, it almost always feels like it's a fair fight, and just a matter of learning the bosses attacks, you do that, you'll win, as opposed to some Nioh bosses, that at times felt unfair.
I enjoyed nioh 1 & 2, but i couldn't get on with this after 3h i put it down. Have you played Sekiro? This is a bad sekiro clone
I finally took down Lu Bu yesterday. My dumb ass kept fighting him with level 16 morale and level 2 gear. But man when I upgraded my gear and farmed morale to 25 he got much easier. By then I had already knew his attack patterns. I just needed those upgrades.
Bruh that gank squad had me fucking pissed
I didn't see the 3vs1 battle. I guess it's not an official boss but...screw that fight. It's the only side mission I didn't complete.
It’s funny I had more trouble with the 2nd boss then the first one. I was still trying to get gameplay mechanics down tho
Dong Zhuo felt easy to because Lu Bu was harder to Solo. That Lu Bu fight taught me how to play the game actually lol
Update: Yuan Shao now has the ice blast attacks do more damage and got new attacks so now this ranking is outdated.
Zhang liang took me quite a while to beat.
I fully agree with lubu being number one but for opposite reasons. Him on the horse drove me nuts. Easily the most frustrating fight. I would easily get him into phase 2 quickly off the stead but him running around had me change my whole build to "keep up" with the stupid horse.
Maybe you can punish him with m1 instead of spirit attack, the longest frame you can punish is when Lu Bu’s burst tackle you, he’ll stun after the counter leaving you a wide out frame to punish, or just go behind and bait him to do u turn attack. So you can deal damage to him bit to bit XD
I dealt around 20% of his health befor he drops his horse
They need to add a Revenant System like Nioh as an easy way to acquire Tiger Seals
I currently use the guding blade and the tiger dual halberds
Definitely found playing NG+ solo way more rewarding than the first playthrough. I always reset my moral heading into the boss. Definitely recommend everyone trying it at some point.
I opened the dual boss fight with my Divine Beast and nearly one-shot the small one. Without a doubt the easiest boss fight I've ever panicked at. Nothing on the Godskinner Duo.
Any boss 10 and under, except aoye are so fun
good vid
THANK YOU for mentioning the gank squad, fighting them legit is cancer
when are you going to put videos on higher quality
The 3v1 fight is stupid hard too. Just by virtue of it being difficult to get attacks in without being interrupted.
Zhang Liao was going crazy the 2nd fight, idk what he was on lol
Bro I didn’t even know I could use reinforcements until I did everything already 💀
I'm still deciding to get this or not. Is it like elden ring or sekiro?
What's crazy I played almost through the whole game wondering why my Dragon pot never increase........ it wasnt until the last area when I started to upgrade.
You managed to miss sun jian, the tiger boss that appears in a main mission
anyone else feels like some sub boss' are harder than the actual boss' bruh them tiger looking things hit so hard.
Zhang Rang quality of life trick when you get too the last clone just don't kill it. He never summons more clones until you kill all his summons and the last clone will have such low max posture that deflecting just 1 of it's attacks will posture break him and take him out of the fight for like 7 seconds.
The fact the first boss is number 12 makes me feel not as bad for getting the shit kicked out of me by his second stage
You ranked these specifically through skill level and build choice. When you figure out what build you're most comfortable with, the entire list will change order. Lu Bu was a joke but you were using a hammer. For a ton of other bosses you were using a halberd, which isn't a very good weapon as far as the other pole arms go. And you rarely used your spirit or abilities which is 75% of the gameplay. You'll definitely have more fun on a second playthrough
I just fought Zhuyang and the boar just now, hadorw trouble with the first boss ngl
That is so weird that Lu Bu was so hard for a lot of people, and i see a TON of people on reddit talking about how hard Lu Bu is, when all it takes is a full earth build with Imposing Slab, and that is it. Beat him first try as soon as i got this. Not even proper build needed. Blindfolded boy on the other hand... Oh god... took me 2 days, hardest boss so far.
i'm wondering if he'll realize that zhang is the last name
As a Dynasty warriors fan, I'm so glad that Lu Bu is the hardest fight. Anything else just wouldn't feel right.
Dong Zhou is your least favorite? Now that's unexpected, he's my personal favorite.
No comments have mentioned it but he just forgot an entire boss. Sun Jian demon fight
i forgot this thing existed... like yiish...
You missed ranking the tiger boss. I can't remember his name but he's the guy who turns into like a bipedal tiger
