Episode 29 - Wellbeing

What got me in this meeting was that some of it was about Councillor wellbeing, yet the entire meeting was monopolised by Andy and Wendy, often disagreeing about precisely the same things, and being upset by paraphrasing and precise vocabulary.
There were 8 Councillors present and apart from the chair, it was entirely Wendy and Andy. No other Councillors got a word in and the chair did only manage to get his thoughts in by holding off Andy's arm waving.
Surely, the chair of a meeting could encourage each member to contribute - perhaps going around the table asking members their thoughts. The meeting suggested Councillors would be appraised annually, but some are going to have a very short appraisal if in the period concerned, NONE of their opinions made the minutes because Andy and Wendy filled the time allowed with their own repetitive comments. "Well, I think......." signifies ten minutes at least on the running time.
