The Hobbit - Bilbo knocked out (wandering around instead of fighting alongside Dwarves)

New VFX of Bilbo taking his ring off to fix continuity in my Hobbit edit. Same idea as my original cut, Bilbo has been wandering around Ravenhill and tried to sit out the battle like the book but gets knocked out.

Watched this a few times, and your the orginal version, I definately prefer this, but I was thinking, would you be able to add the 'wearing the ring' FX including all of him getting knocked out. So like wobbly frame and dark orcs. Just thinking it would be even closer to the books and explain why they don't just stab him and why the dwarves don't knotice him later on. This one definately flows best so far.

I really wanted to. But i don’t think i can match the effect near 1:1. Unless i get some outside help. There is a tutorial on youtube in italian but i couldn’t quite get it right like in his vid but it’s an idea still

@@M4Studios Thats fair enough, I just watched you're breakdown video and with you're other changes to the sequence of his escape it works better the way you explained it anyway. Its better to have something clean, that you're happy with, than something crude that for the sake of a "plot whole" (and a tiny one at that). Keep you the great work 😄

@@lordtelion Yeah, in a perfect world he would keep his ring on but it's not the end of the world. Also then I would have to worry about how show him taking off the ring which is harder in a close up

Small request: could you upload your version of some of the fight scenes? Something about the way you recut them makes them easier to follow and more intense. Probably because there's less action in your recut, and less goofy meaningless action at that.

sure perhaps. I like goblin escape, frying pan, and the first half of final battle the most for sure. I tried to post full final battle once but it got blocked so have to do clips

@@M4Studios Thorin vs Azog and Kili vs Bolg stick out to me in particular, the latter even more so since your recut spikes the tension more and has an effective shock-moment when he's suddenly stabbed. Who would've guessed cutting Tauriel actively improves the movie?
