The musicians and chorus are very good . The Conductor Cheng is amazing . Bravo !!! I enjoyed this performance .
One of the greatest examples of the universality of the language of music. A great performance of a great work...Italian composer, Latin Text and incredible Chinese Conductor, instrumentalists and chorus!
Merci aux artistes Chinois de redonner vie à l'âme des personnes à l'origine de ce requiem : en 1793, le Roi de France Louis XVI et la Reine Marie Antoinette ont été décapités suite au coup d'état républicain de 1789 !

Vous avez tout à fait raison, mais cette messe de requiem a été produite grâce à un mécène : Louis XVIII, Roi de France entre 1814 et 1824. Pour rendre hommage à son frère aîné Louis XVI et à son épouse la Reine Marie Antoinette, décapités en 1793, la tristesse innommable de l'assassinat de ces personnes innocentes est la trame de cette oeuvre sublime !

dov'e' questa dimostrazione? Mi cimento, passivamente, con musiche vanno dal medioevo sino ad oggi... trovo che i "grandi" sono meno di 35. Purtroppo Cherubini non e' tra questi. Ma sono davero molto interessato a convertirmi.

This requiem belongs to my favourite pieces of music. This rendition by the Chinese musicians is interesting. However, I would have enjoyed it even more without some of the abrupt pauses that the conductor created for effect.
