The reason they had to get DIO perfect was one of the guys at Rooster Teeth has wanted this battle for years, and was a MASSIVE JoJo fan (from what I have heard).
Also, you can see Alucard’s gun break in the fight when DIO bites it, and DIO has the moles on his ear. That shit was the most detailed fight animation this season, with the exception of Batman vs Ironman.

The problem is we never got to see alucard fight all out even in the last arc. He is mostly toying around and letting himself get hit and is laughing in almost every fight.
Watched both JoJo and Hellsing before this, so I can safely say that the verdict and stats they depicted here were excruciatingly jossed. 1500x FTL JoJo is inconsistent with both the narrative and feats in the series. One example of this was that Star Platinum was not being fast enough to knock away all of the knives thrown at Jotaro, especially when they were going at slow enough speeds to be stopped by the manga he had stuffed in his shirt. JoJo is possibly FTL at minimum in reaction speed thanks to things like Hanged Man, but not to the absurd degree they said it was.
DIO’s regen was also overhyped. He couldn’t regenerate from being reduced to nothing but a head, and had to take Jonathan’s body for his own, and when he lost his leg after he was sent flying through a window in his fight with Jotaro, he had to reattach it and drink a poor bystander’s blood to heal himself. Alucard could regenerate from literally everything his verse threw at him with a smile, including getting turned into human salsa. DIO couldn’t survive that.
They also did admit that DIO couldn’t kill Shrodinger Alucard, so it would be a stalemate, but also dismissed the fact that DIO was weak so sunlight, which is correct, as Alucard would definitely know about this since his expertise in all things vampire would easily let him know about things like that, and there is no way they can’t say he would be unable to either hold out until sunrise or, in my opinion, use his quantum omnipresence to drag him somewhere where the sun is shining, as Alucard can walk in the daylight while DIO can’t.
They also said DIO could hypnotize Alucard because he could do that to humans, but they left out the fact that Alucard also does that to humans so it’s a two way street. Alucard also has a third eye which resists mind hax, and yes, while it seemingly isn’t always active, and Hellsing vampires have fallen victim to mindscrews before, not only is it better than what DIO has shown against it, which is nothing, but Alucard might have it on 24/7 and we just don’t know it. They don’t elaborate on things like that.
Overall, thier strawman is incredibly flimsy, and, to be honest, DIO really shouldn’t have been able to kill Alucard. Nothing that happened to him during the series actually killed him, even when Anderplant burned him with holy fire, it took a very long time to inflict any real damage, and as soon as Alucard was snapped out of it by Seras, he instantly snuffed the fire out and killed Anderplant with one blow.
That said, there might be one way to kill Alucard. The only weakness we have seen he has is a stake through the heart when he has only one soul will kill him. Van Hellsing showed this. Anderson showed this. Walter showed this. Integra states this. Its the only way to take a soul. Sure, DIO could do this, but he would have no reason to believe that that would be his weakness. Vampires in JoJo don’t have a weakness to getting staked in the heart, so he would have no reason to think that’s a good strategy at all, especially when he sees him regenerating from his tossed knives like it was just the wind.
Even if DIO were to somehow figure it out, Alucard could just turn his whole body into a pile of blood or shadow he can control as he pleases to make the stabs not matter. Sure, Stands can touch ghosts, and Sethan takes the form of a shadow, which Silver Chariot could interact with, Sethan is still a Stand, and Stands can interact. It also seemed like he was becoming tangible, too whenever his axe left the ground. Also, of note, another shadow stand, Black Sabbath, could not be interacted with by Giorno while it was merged with the shadows, so take that as you will.
To make matters worse, with his literal army of souls, he have to do it over 3 million times until he runs out of souls to take the damage for him. Even him going to Level 0 and releasing his souls wouldn’t work as him and his souls are still linked. When Anderplant lit Alucard on fire, the rest of his souls burned, too. This means that even in Level 0, he has to stake him over 3 million times to kill him, and that’s disregarding the fact that he won’t even know that is an option in the first place, and the fact that he can have the 3 million chasing after him as well.
Imagine trying to ritualistically stake a guy 3 million times while getting hunted by the zombies from World War Z and be in a time limit of 8 hours to do the task before you die of the world’s worst sunburn all the while the guy you are trying to stake could also turn into a puddle of blood or shadows you couldn’t touch, teleport, and even reform as a swarm of bats elsewhere to stall for time. Oh yeah, you also have to deal with magic floating playing cards that can cut right through depleted uranium shells, create land mines and shadow clones, as well as a rifle that can act basically as a discount omega beam, and a shadow dog that he can send after you at will.
You can also stop time, but every stab you do will only count as one soul lost in the stopped time, meaning you have to let it go until the soul disappears and then restop time to stab him again on loop. It’s also really painful to spam as Jotaro said it fucks with your own heart to do it too much. That’s what DIO VS Alucard is actually. Sound impossible? That’s because it is for DIO, as Alucard would only let himself get killed by a human, as seen by him letting Van Hellsing do it all those years ago. You could, as you didn’t throw your humanity away, but DIO did, so now he has to do this impossible task with the most extreme difficulty.
Let’s calc it out and be generous and say DIO can stop time, stab him, restart to have the soul die, and then restart the cycle once per second. If DIO were to start at sundown, and do it for 8 hours straight until sunrise, DIO would only dispatch of 28,800 souls in that time frame, which isn’t even a sixth of what is necessary to kill Alucard. Even if we say he can do the cycle 50 times a second, he will only kill 1,440,000 souls, which is only slightly over a third of what is necessary. And remember, he has to do all of that while getting chased by an unflinching zombie army, dollar store Omega Beams, floating magic razor cards that can double as land mines and shadow clones, a big heccin doggo, and Alucard himself, who can chose to make the stabs not even matter in the first place due to his shape shifting, teleportation, and intangibility abilities, all the while you have no idea that that is how to kill him in the first place, it makes it abundantly clear that DIO is, indeed, truly fucked in this situation.
DIO would die before the sun even comes up, however, as DIO himself said that destroying his brain is something that would actually kill him, and one of Alucard’s millions of vectors of attacks would get through to DIO. The World is not a forcefield protecting him at all sides, it’s one punch ghost against a mob that can go in all directions. DIO should have been dog food in this match, as he is massively outclassed by a much superior vampire.

I think you're downplaying dio,right of the back holy weapons don't work on him,the souls are alucards but are filled with blood so much dio doesn't need to give chase to get some it's all over the place.dio himself can one shot them or even doughnut them no problem and a one punch ghost?star platinum and the world can reach ftl speeds dio perhaps even more because he doesn't fatigue like Jotaro,he was sliced in half plus dio had experience controlling the dead from part 1.One more thing every time he uses timestop he gains an additional 2 seconds. Alucards omnipresence is probably because of schringer and he can't use his abilities while it's active.I think db got this right.
The time stop does actually increase per use, thats how Star Platinum went from less than one second to 5 seconds during their fight.
And works vice versa, the less use the worse it gets
Dio stopping time wouldn't matter, though, since Alucard would be immune to it. He's there but not there at the same time.

Here's a fun thing: Dio crushing his heart would NOT have killed him, there are steps for killing a true vampire like Alucard, including STEAKING the heart. DIO nor Alucard would've won.

So what exactly do you think of the cloud spitting feat? You think it's legit? And is that the best strength feat in jojo? 10.9 megatons... I'm asking becuase I haven't heard anyone use it as a proper feat before. And I don't quite understand. Would love to hear your thoughts on the feat!
The calc they used was a really highball, that cloud feat should only be small city level as it’s been calc’d that before by people reasonably, it’s a legit feat but for anime only though. Also no it’s not the best strength feat in JoJo, far from it lol, if you want to see more feats that are better then please check out my Jotaro video

The hurricane Weather report seems like a really good feat was that 1 meta ton or City level? Something like that. You know, before looking at some of your videos, I was always under the impression that jojo characters werent that strong because of the Jotaro vs Kenshiro death battle but now I know better because of u! The problem with Death Battle is that they conveniently leave out facts that would turn the whole argument upside down. Death battle isnt about who wins the fight its about how to make the character they want win the fight. Its basically biased debates with endless fallacy arguments. (when they said Alucard cant use Schrödinger's ability and his normal abilities together which is a bold and false assessment without any proof backing it up. When he returned after the incident it is literally hinted that he has gain full control over Schrödinger's ability as seen when he came back with pink eyes. Schrödinger is a passive Ability that when Alucard believes and thinks it becomes reality.)
Like also how they hinder out the fact that Schrödinger is everywhere and nowhere. Schrödinger sums up to "I think, therefore i am." Alucard Post-Schrödinger ceased to exist because Schrödinger needs to recognize itself as such. But with millions of millions of souls in Alucard along with the souls minds, Alucard failed to recognize himself as Schrödinger and as a result he ceased to exist,
Now timeskip to 30 years after the incident Alucard comes back after killing every single soul except Schrödinger inside of him resulting in him coming back into existence with Schrödinger's pink eyes. Making him omnipresent to his verse and maybe even omnipotent, he is everywhere in time and nowhere at the same time. He is Wherever, however, whenever. This also has augmented Alucard's immortality to a higher scale, to which he can exist between time when he thinks.(a further explanation of what Schrödinger is and how it works)
Side note: this was all shown in the last episode of the Hellsing Ultimate Series.
This means that if he is above time he is not vulnerable to the timestop...
Alucard after returning would have all his normal vampire abilities like walking on walls, turning into shadow, etc. but not the abilities derived from absorbing souls. So no level 0 release, no familiars, and (presumably) no shapeshifting.

Ooh! Jobber posted his reaction!! I’d say it’s one of their more accurate death battles to date besides Reverse Flash vs Goku Black. I was definetly surprised by the calcs they gave for the space rubber stingy eyes and the fact that they included all of the proper calcs for DIO.

I watched both animes …and yes one thing .Alucard never goes full out on a single opponent ….he only released all his captured souls 3millioj souls or something to wipe out the entire city and the thousands of crusaders and the last batallion. One on one he never released his full power or release all the extra lives. So if he faced dio, physical attacks does hurt him and his regeneration is shitty compared to alucard..so alucard can do some damage whole dio even if he used time stop let’s say duration 10 days …lol…he wuld still had killed alucard only few thousand times. So dio would almost spend years n years to kill off all of alucard lives while keeping alucard in time stop😂😂n remember when alucard had his full extra lives released, he even released those super vampires n werewolves he killed like dandy man n viviwinkled but they didn’t mention that. And also alucard after releasing all the souls , in his fight with Anderson his head was chopped off his body was sliced in half but nothing happened. His fight with Walter , Walter destroyed his heart but alucard exchanged his body with Luke valentines. And so alucard in his base form cannot be defeated by dio while alucard has more chances of damaging him physically nonstop n killing dio since alucard can regenerate before dio can kill alucard for some few million times lol. Also even if alucard has all the lives release.extra help from dandyman n vivi winkler will surely create enough distraction and physical damage is nothing for alucard unless his heart is destroyed. And if they use alucard from the last part with his mini present ting.u can stop the whole world for years but alucard will simply cease to exist in physical world and exist in dio’s mind . Alucard's speed compared to The World is unfair. The World would be able to kill and dismember Alucard in any interaction ever, Also considering that Dio's Time stop only increases the more times he uses it and the more blood he drinks. Alucard has no way to kill Dio. Those other vampires you mentioned will literally get one shotted the second the show their face with no effort in The World's Part. In the best case scenario for Alucard it's a draw. Most likely that Dio kills him so many times that he decides fuck it restraint level 0 to try to ambush him while he still has the chance. Since Alucard would realistically never land a hit on Dio.
...and while yes Dio's regen is shittier than Alucards it is still potent enough to heal whatever scrap of damage he could take from Alucard and with endless blood to feed Dio? No chance of Dio ever losing.

Note: Baskerville could've literally bit Dio's head off and carried it away, Making practically harmless, the Casal, or jackal I think, and literally shred his body to pieces. Dio by no means could kill Alucard by sunrise.

I do want to say something about dios regeneration being lower and saying things like his leg got cut off by glass and he couldn't just regenerate it easily. Well a good reason to this was because dios regeneration was negged at this time due to jonathans body fighting him. And the dio shown in death battle that they used is when dio gains more control over his body and has drastically higher regeneration. Just wanted to point that out. But they did do some wank on some of dios scans.

Honestly It was a stomp in Dio’s favor but the way they potrayed it, they mad it seem like Alucard had the higher states when Honestly from what Hellsings shown he seems to cap at city block level - multi city block level ( high balling probably city level )

Theres only one case i see for a perfect dio victory (without alucard being intentionally stupid) and its a body swap time stop where whilst times stopped removing alucards head and replacing it as with his won (though if alucards mind wins then it's an alucard win)

Besides some inconsistent calcs and whatever people think who wins, this is probably one of my favorite animated fights from them. (Though esdeath vs gray was way more BS than this imo)
The only reason why death battle made Dio win was simply because of his calcs making him faster than Alucard. In actuality, it would've been the most awesome fucking statement ever.
People tend to forget level 0 removes all of alucard's other souls from his body, the very things he uses as extra lives. He *cannot regenerate from lethal injuries after losing all of the souls, and this was mentioned in Hellsing itself*
Plus, DB did put in detail to make dio obviously in fear of this eldritch-ass entity alucard he was fighting for a while
Sort of. But level 0 isnt' controlled by Alucard (Nor would it be used by him if it was) Its controlled by Integra.
I'm pretty sure level zero just releases the locks on alucards powers he makes the choice to release all of the souls , also this ability would make the fight 1 vs 3million with Alucard having full control of those 3 million souls and their abilities. One of those abilities being our cat friend. The lock is controlled by Integra but once it's released Alucard calls the shots.
@@1123walkman Problem is that the souls themselves aren't really as powerful as alucard was when sealed and if anything are just walking blood bags for any vampiric opponent, with the rather huge downside that Alucard can no longer "respawn" after using level zero.

I called Cap on the ice in laser eyes. If he still had that power, he would have used it when fighting the jojo family and not using knives at ranged weapons.

Makes sense, Jonathan's body is just a human body with a vampire's head stuck on it and it was constantly rejecting Dio the entire time.
When has he tried? DIO himself thinks that the vampire abilities had no place in stand combat so he was actively not using them.

honestly I can’t answer this question definitively because the Jolyne feat is put into question cause of the time frame,speed of the meteor, how big it is, etc. it’s best to wait for the anime to scale that feat properly. As for Jotaro, yea he did get shafted in the AP feat department because he has in series his own feats that put him high up there
Minds can change in 3.5 years. Look at how they treated Sora vs Pit and Yoda vs King Mickey in even less time.

Question: Could've Dio died from blood lost or his head being destroyed before he can heal from Alucard trump card? He would have been overwhelmed from all of Alucard attacks. Even if Alucard's bullet didn't stop his healing factor, it still cause damages. Even with Dio fast attacks, he wouldn't be able to block all of millions of dead bodies attacks. Even with time stop, it's won't let him dodge those attacks. Similar to Jotaro couldn't dodge bug eater's attack. Another example when Jotaro fought Justice. Even though he hit all her zombie, he couldn't dodge or see one of them attacking him. Shouldn't Alucard be able to do the same thing? Get a good hit in Dio, control his blood and blow him up from the inside? It can work to due to Dio needing blood to heal and Alucard years of experiences being able to figuring it out and exploding that weakness.
no, Dio’s regeneration is really good(not better than Alucards). Dio stat stomps Alucard and his army, and statue blitzes. Plus Dio’s way too careful to allow himself to be purposely hit and even if he is he just regenerates and blitzes

However Dio leg was cut from a piece of glass when he crash through a window. Plus Alucard can control blood. They say Dio can last long due to him having that source, but Alucard would have figured out that Dio heal from blood due to the holy bullets not working. Alucard would be able to use Dio strength as his biggest weakness. Like how Koola Man kill Mach man that way.
If we want to go by that logic then Alucard has been blown apart by normal bullets, therefore he’s only bullet level. And Dio tanked bullets so that shard of glass > normal hellsing bullets. but that’s all I’ll say, to argue that Alucard would win or have a chance is extremely generous towards him and his scaling

However Dio took bullets from normal standard police issues. Alucard got hit from war design guns. Those are completely different. I just saying that Alucard could have won similar to how Koola Man did. By lasting long enough to deal the finish blow. He have experiences, durability and skills to defeat Dio.

Actually, that isn't entirely correct. DIO can be killed by having his brain sufficiently damaged, something he says to Polnareff when Polnareff stabs him in the head but failed to swish the blade around. Also, vampiric regeneration in JoJo isn't perfect, since Straits, the guy who survived being blown to pieces by a grenade admits that he was severely weakened by the attack.
The animation was great though. Also Hell over Heaven was bomb.

This fight could go either way as anyone should expect, they kinda did overhype Dio but even if you Properly scale both, Dio still wins but There is some case for me that Alucard could win.
But at the end, I favor it to DIO and this is coming from A Alucard lover (huge fan).
respect, I didn’t know anything about Hellsing before this DB was announced, after it came out I started watching Hellsing and I like it, reminds me a little of JoJo part 2. Might even scale the series on my channel

As a jojo fan, in in the mindset that dio would lose, all it takes is a strong blow to his brain and he becomes a vegetable, and hit anywhere else he takes a few minutes to heal. Even with time stop he wouldn't get far enough to find a body/blood. Alucard healing is waaaay better in comparison, and is smart enough to connect the dots that dios ability is to stop time and adapt accordingly.
But that's without omnipresents.

@@copyright-hv6en Fair point but Schrodinger isn't Omnipresence, since he was hit by a bullet, he wouldn't have lost the object, if you think that going behind a person, that's not omnipresent, that's teleportation, and Alucard wouldn't specifically figure out how he is Escaping every attack Alucard is Throwing at him, even if he figured out, Dio would find a better way to use it more effectively, he would be able to figure out Alucard's weakness: Killing him millions of times and even the heart if they use Level 0.
Schrodinger would need to Remember of who he really is since Alucard can't use that ability and his own at the same time or he'll die from that.
Again They were fair of Dio's wins but they overhype his Regeneration.

Like they took one panel about when Schrodinger said he was moving between places to imply that he HAD to be in one place or the other and not omnipresent despite the fact that he later showed the ability to exist in meta physical realms and multiple points in time simultaneously. They just kinda ignored that.
