My favorites have always been UA-cam, Facebook, and Instagram. Having used social media since I was young, I’ve encountered scams and toxic content, but I’ve managed to maintain my safety on my own. We all know the internet has its good and bad aspects. While I’ve never been very interested in TikTok, the TikTok CEO’s amazing calm and civilized demeanor has given me a new perspective and made me wonder about the quality of the environment and education he grew up with. It reinforces the importance of choosing and electing quality leaders with good attitudes for any organization and community.

No offense, I love the American general people, but your government is horrible. They can't digest the fact that any application or technology from a different country leading them in anything.
They are talking about data stolen, but the fact is that plenty of employers in USA ask for SSN and other personal / confidential information while applying for job opportunities. That too at the time of submitting resumes. One cannot submit a resume without punching in those details.

Even though I don't personally support TikTok, I was disappointed to see the Senate hearing where it seemed like the decision to ban the app was already made. It's important to have fair and unbiased evaluations of these kinds of situations, and rushing to judgment without considering all perspectives is not how our system should work.

The congress people were so out of touch that i, as a random 16 y/o, could easily have done a better job at interviewing him. It's incredible how bad the US government in general is handling this stuff. China or not, they could've professionally solved all of these real concerns by requesting changes in the Tik Tok app to comply with US concerns or something. Perhaps limiting the time people can spend on the app, forcing more educational videos to pop up the way it does in China, etc. They could've requested and looked trough all of the data the app is collecting from US citizens and professionally addressed and solved any concerns.
I tried to watch the whole livestream in congress, but my brain hurt badly...holy fxxk...

I read into this a lot for a recent video on my channel on the threats behind TikTok and personally I feel that a forced sale is more likely than a ban.
If the concern is foreign influence by social medias, so all Hollywood's movies should not allows in any countries, if the concern is a data security, then every american social medias should be banned also in any countries.
