Times when the internet was still young. Took me and my buddies a few weeks to figure it out. After grinding MHFU for a few years, a new MH game for the PSP felt like a blessing from above.
Man, I can't believe I solo'd this game. I love it with all my heart. The only monster I haven't actually beaten in this game is Alatreon cuz it means I have to do every marathon quest and I might start hating it if I did that.
It's time consuming tbh it really took me 45-49 mins to beat it. Literally last minute hit, I can't believe I grind that long when I was in Highschool.
I reached the amatsu quest yeaterday and i solo‘d every Monster Hunter psp game but i swear this game has the worst drop rates ever, i ragequitted it several years ago because i didnt get the Zinogre-Jaspis, even though i killed him over 15 times. I only recently started playing again and beating Jhen Mohran alone lol
Hell yeah I remember this game! It was my first ever MonHun, and the fact that it sucked me in despitw the fact that I couldn't read anything says a lot about its quality.
The controls and the movesets were far superior to the ones of MHFU. Longsword was so sexy in this game. Only thing that's missing was the target cam, if it had it it would've been perfect. MHGU is the best one for sexy, fluid longsword combat, when you use Guild Style with Sakura Slash and the limitless spirit gauge (for a few minutes) hunter arts. Both in MHP3rd and MHGU I played with evasion+2, a sight to behold. Roll through every attack and dance around the monsters with your weapom drawn, dishing out damage with epic, sexy moves 🎉
I remember trying to get an English patch for this game when I was younger and It took me forever
