I can relate to the "unreal" feeling of meeting again. Lived with my partner 2 years in my country, Canada, and then we spent 4 months apart when he had to return to Korea and I had to finish up my degree and find a job to get my visa. Even though we video called every single day, it was surreal and almost felt like he looked different when I got to Incheon airport 🤣 It's almost awkward at first (like you said, it almost feels like meeting for the first time), but then you bounce back to being so comfortable and normal together so fast.
