Wonderful to see this. Echo and the Bunnymen were the coolest band in the land during this era. Pete was such a wonderful drummer. It was the four fellas playing their unique styling. Yes young people, us old fucks were dancing to this groove when we were your age. Enjoy the sound of the majestic Bunnymen. There was no band like them. Greetings Bunnypeople!
Damn! This sooo rocks. Thanks guys for everything you gave. Seeing this transports us all back to a greater, better time. I remember a print interview back in the day where Mac said people just need to “stand taller.” Always true.
The bit where they lead into “With a Hip” with the “No Hands” segment is a stroke of pure genius. I’m guessing that was a short lived thing, so I’m glad it was caught here. It certainly didn’t hurt that they had the tightest and most rock solid rhythm section ever. Les with his unique style of airtight up-picking precision gave him an unmistakable sound all his own, and of course Pete was just an unbelievably gifted drummer. His sticking on “The Back of Love” alone is proof enough. This really was peak era for the Bunnymen in my opinion. At this time no one else could even begin to approach their level of brilliance.
I've still got the 7" vinyl of Pictures on my wall. Listening to The Bunnymen with headphones on as a teenager took me to a different plane altogether. Still the coolest band name ever in my opinion. Watching this again makes me realise just how unique they were, and still are.
headphones were brilliant then ( early 80s) , killing joke sounded like a different band , my mates in the flat didnt dig the fall etc so ...headphones ...probably where i got tinnitis from though

❤️‼️‼️ holy sheeet ❤️ so so so great!! Sounds amazing. Thank u for posting. Awesome !!!! They are all so cute and young. Love love !!!! Just saw them a few weeks ago. Truly a band that has been a part of my soul since their first album. Feel the undertow - dance in the smoke - sing loud with Mac - get lost inside. ❤️❤️❤️
Woah!! Great reminder these guys were killing (moon) it at this time. Also, yes the songs were great, but Will, Pete and Les were seriously brilliant and unique musicians… and they were in the same band!

What sucked me into the dark side and I never went back. 🐰They will never be equaled if you ask me.
Sergeant has the best guitar tone I've ever heard and Mac has one of the best voices I've ever heard
And underneath all that you have one of the most rock solid rhythm sections of all time. Musical alchemy at the highest level.
les pattinson and de freitas were no slouches either. very accomplished as the rhythm section.
In love with your comments ❤ x
That rhythm section ain’t too shabby either.
I’d have killed to have seen this when I was 20 years old…
You'd have got about ten years -- out in eight for good behaviour. :0)
What an amazing drummer Pete de Freitas was. I could never imagine Echo & the Bunnymen without him.
Muchas gracias, soy Juan yo estuve allí tengo 55 años estoy llorando gracias ❤
Pete you are so missed fantastic drummer ever.
Fantastic gig.
Needs to be released officially.
Great update.

I saw them on this tour in NYC. Thanks for helping me remember how wonderful they were live. Makes me miss Pete.
I saw them live in february 1983 at Plan K in Brussels. They were great! One of the best gigs I ever attended.
Peter Louis Vincent de Freitas
What a pleasant surprise! My favorite band EVER.
So tight! What a band.
Assistindo hoje dia 3 de março de 2023. Salvador, Bahia, Brasil.
One of their best performances. The level of output by Pete on drums is pure exhaustion is staggering.
This takes me back. I saw the Bunnymen many times from the early 80's. I wish I'd known what I know now - one of the best live bands ever.

Post punk mixed with psychedelia. Nobody ever did it better! How are the #bunnymen not in the #rocknrollhalloffame yet? They should be!
They're to cool for that jive.
Please release this officially. It’s long overdue.
le Band le plus hypnotique des années 80' MAGIC

🙏
pure magic❤
Thank you ! 😍🙏
Once ,we were young....!!How many encores they did?
Hello Mac , Howdy Will?
Well hello
“C’mon Les 😏😏”
Technically it was West Germany
They were all geniuses in their unique ways, but Pete was the best musician among them all.
It has been said that a band can only be as good as their drummer. Pete was one of the all time greatest.
Evidence.
