My Mamas name is Rita. She may be gone now but she's not forgotten by any means. It's wonderful to see a Dad and his child or children together at the same time. Don't ever take family time for granted.
It’s crazy even though the tree is dead, but it’s not another tree can grow into a dead tree. It’s life of the tree and it’s job continues on forever with Moss character that keeps on giving even though we see it dead but it’s still providing for the forest, it’s continuing on its growth, absolutely amazing
Hello Rita. Spending time with your dad is heartwarming and I know he was enjoying this day with his daughter and the forest he loves. Thanks for sharing this with the channel. 🙏♥️
Jaw dropping beauty. These ancient trees are hypnotic. I can sit and stare at them all day. I can't help but think how unfortunate it is that we decimated almost all of this old growth. It would be the greatist gift to have left more large stands of these magnificent tress for future generations to experience. Nothing can replace them (other than time).
G'day Buckin n Rita, me and the missus went there in 1997 and it was closed due a massive storm that had blown the big trees over and smashed some of the buildings. People were standing around saying how they'd come from the US or where ever and what a shame it was closed, anyway I told the missus to sit in the car I'm going in for about an hour. It was an eye opener seeing these massive tall trees snapped like carrots the way the fibre pulled apart in long lengths, I got that feeling something wasn't right I thought it must be a bear so I got going, the wife asked I thought you were staying in there for an hour I said I've seen enough 👍.
What a great father's day for all of us. Thank You Rita. That's a very beautiful park. Beautiful, is less than that park, it's a lot more than that. Thanks for sharing Buckin and Rita.
LOVE THE PICTURE OF YOU AND HOGAN WORKING ,,WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SPOT GREAT MEMORIES RIGHT THERE 😁👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦 HAPPY FATHERS DAY BUCKIN STAND PROUD YOUVE GOT 2 GREAT KIDS BUDDY
Woah what an epic video Buckin! I’m from Scotland so I will definitely have to start learning about trees because this looks like good fun but also very relaxing. I think it’s really great that your family are very involved in your passion and that you share what you know with us too. Love the Nicks boots buddy and super excited for the next video to come out!
Some wonderful specimens that has been created there’s something in our dna that needs to absorb the feelings and sounds of nature with no distractions I believe them moments are truly peaceful when you try to do it you realise how restless we humans are a human created noise is never far away the quiet moments in nature can be difficult to experience for people that lives in a city but I believe we feel better if we can do it every day all plants and animals just want peace I think some people could maybe go a lifetime and never truly experience the true peace of nature ✌️❤️🌲🪵🪓🐝
Buckin, me and my little cousin went last summer to the California redwoods. If you haven't gone, I highly recommend going one day! My brain literally couldn't comprehend how massive they are :)
Thanks for sharing this special park visit. So glad to see it's being preserved. Seeing and being with the old growth really puts our lives in perspective.
I've run across my share of monster old growth trees here in the eastern cascade mtns here in Washington. Doug fir, grand fir, eastern larch, and mondo ponderosa pines. It's amazing how many I've seen while looking for elk and deer antlers. I got a couple spots u would truly enjoy. Happy father's day to u dad's out there. 💪👌
G'day everyone, have a great day. Buckin, you'd have a party in the old growth forests here in South West Western Australia. I'm sure you'd be in heaven cutting Jarrah and Karri.
My favorite bird songs comes from the wood thrush and hermit thrush and of course robins... The thrush songs can only be heard in deeper wooded areas and not in the urban parks. I get to hear them when there is a lull in the traffic. Rita the young Wood Goddess of Vancouver Island was born into this world with a strong father dude... Long live Buckin Billy to continue a legacy of kindness and hard work and honesty....and anyone who appreciates old growth trrees. And when you're walking in the woods careful where you step because tree seedlings can't move out the way. 🌱🌿🍀🌱
I have to go there--being in the forest gives me solitude. I'm in awe when I stand in old growth forest; to try and imagine what these trees lived through for hundreds of years. Being in a lush forest can be emotional for me. Thanks Buckin' and Rita for sharing this.
Hey Buckin, here where I used to live in California in the Sequoia National Forest ive been around some of the grandfather trees, 1000's of years old..its a indescribable presence and feeling. GREAT GRANFATHERS TO THE FOREST!!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO THEM!! And to you buckin! Thanks for this amazing video!
Hey Buckin. I wish I could work with you a little bit. I feel like I'd learn a lot from you and I've always wanted to see Canada. ❤ I hope you and your family are doing good 😊
Very relaxing scene. I know you had a fabulous Fathers Day hanging out with your Daughter Rita. Thanks for sharing the beautiful Forest with us,and having a beautiful message to share with everyone. Keep them great Videos coming.
Nature always provides. Respect it and love it ! That's a beautiful spot buckin I have a special place I sometimes go in the woods and it always make me feel instantly better!!
Happy Father’s Day Buckin! This video really got to me…I watched it twice…your interactions with Rita amongst those ancient trees was special! Thank you for sharing it with us as always! Love you all! ❤️✊
The size of those trees are amazing Great Father’s Day present!! The water looks some clean an clear The longer the video goes the bigger the timber gets I would like to see that 500 I in a big 🌲 like that 8 footer Amazing video you don’t see trees like just anywhere !! Hopefully you guys don’t get the disease in the hemlock trees that we have here in Nova Scotia it’s killing the hemlock in a lot of spots . Be safe
That's awesome brother!! Thanks for taking us along on your father's day journey!!! What a gift!!! It looked beautiful out there!! I also got to spend the day with all three of my girls!! It was an amazing day!! Plus, my new false tongues showed up Saturday for an early father's day gift!!! THEY ARE DEADLY BROTHER!!!! thanks for all you do, and I hope ya had a great father's day❤❤ much love from the Barth family😊
My friend's family has a farm that the county took down some dying maples, I'm over on the east coast, central NY state. These things were huge. 48" logs, he called me because he only has a small firewood saw and asked me how long the bar was on my Husky 390xp, well my 24" bar on the 390 barely tickled half way through these monsters. We were trying to count the rings and figure the age of these things, easily over 300 years old. We thought it was fascinating that these trees pre-dated the founding of America. And the rounds were insanely heavy! Just massive!
I went to cathedral grove around 25 years ago when I was a teenager. I surely was amazed by the ginormous trees. I hope one day I can make it back there to see it again and possibly meet up with you. Happy Father’s Day to you as well.
Randy Blaukat of the Ozarks region talks a great deal about disappearance of old growth forest in that area. And although Randy doesn't come from a tree or wood background (he's a waterman and outboard motor kind of guys, as opposed to a chain, bar and power head guy). But that waterman story and history is just as old and connected back into time as the wood's person tradition. It's in Idaho for instance, on the logging drives where the river and water communities combined with timber. Michigan and such places, ditto.
I love seeing old growth trees, and stopping to think if they had eyes what all they'd seen. Some were around before the white man ever came to America, and the history behind um.
That is awesome! My grandpa has a madrone on his property that we think is around 400, about 4 1/2 feet across near the base. Old growth forests are so much fun to be in.
DAG they are some monster trees. I did Trail Maintenace on the Appalation Trail in PAWLING NY and there is the biggest Oakwood tree on the whole trail witch is over 2200 miles long. They think that tree is over 300 years old. All I can say it is a BIG A** TREE. TAKE CARE ALL
The park reminds me of trees of mystery in Northern California and areas surrounding areas a lot of red wood one more thing your daughter looks more like your wife but in the face I see you 👍😎
