Was just thinking about this exact thing today that why I can't buy into most sci-fi stories is that their vision of the future-of spaceships and voyages through the solar systems-doesn't seem to ring true to me.
The biggest takeaway for me is "Science fiction isn't about predicting the future. It's about making the future."
