Other great books that every Christian wives should read are: "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Peace "The Power of a Transformed Wife" by Lori Alexander "Created to Be His Help Meet" by Debi Pearl
If the man is working 13 hours a day to support his family then he is doing enough. Even with 5 kids, the wife should be able to handle the domestic tasks. If the husband desires to do more and the wife treats him this way then he needs to explain to her that she is in sin and that she needs to repent. Tell her straight up that the next time she does it, you will no longer do that task. Let her reap what she sows.
This is your greatest video in my opinion! It shows the contrast between both husband side and wife side. The depth of the conflict was actually so unrelatable to me and admittedly so dumb and immature from my perspective, but I can see how couples get that way. I think the only gap missing is how we men can sometimes fail to miss the biological burden and link of mothers to giving birth to their children and taking care of them. But we can try to learn our best. We can be there, you are leader in this regard. As house leader, I try to do best. You are leader in this regard, because I have no idea how to be so ultimately responsible here. But going back to the example you gave on this topic (I wasn't 100% sure when Clarence vs. Dr. Laura or someone else was speaking), that is absolutely how I think women get the worst of their husbands. We guys don't navigate things in subtleties. Either we did wrong or right. "Why didn't you do all the dishes?" That means we failed. And why should I give a sh*t now [just trying to show how our male pride works]? And this is not about blame! I am not interested in blame. Actually the biggest problem in my opinion these days is obsessing on blame. Maybe the husbands should ideally have been better in spite of that. I'm just saying this is horrible in terms of teamwork, collaboration, ultimately communication; there is nothing in psychology let alone the generations upon generations of the written word of God to support this idea that being distrustful of each other ever leads to a good thing. Being trustful can *sometimes* lead to bad things, but being so distrustful *always* leads to bad things.
That book is honestly ESSENTIAL reading for anyone hoping to get married, already married, and even divorced folk. A lot of modern-day ministries are based on learnings from that book and for good reason. It doesn't water down the message or delivery- just real, hard FACTS. Great video, sis- I'm so behind with social media recently- have so much to catch up with 😅
